I realized how beneficial Ramshorn snails are regarding controlling algae growth: I bought an assassin snail to control the ramshorn pop in one of my tanks I was establishing. And then I had some bladder snails in there thinking the assassin snail would eat them too. They don't. Later on, the hair algae started showing up on everything. I took out my assassin snail and introduce my big OG ramshorn that made all my babies. In less than a week, the hair algae started disappearing. It definitely made me realize how important they are!
Fun fact: If you let giant water lettuce in the shade outside and it starts to crowd itself, you can get mini water lettuce. I was genuinely surprised but theres no other way it could have got in
Thanks for being transparent about the honey gouramis. I lost some fish a couple of months ago and was so confused and bummed I almost wanted to ditch the hobby altogether but glad I didn’t. Sht happens. Love seeing your videos 🙌🏼🙌🏼
The game is of course content generation, and sad developments count as content. Sometimes things don't go our way, they don't turn out the way we want them to turn out. That's just life. Good luck with your move. I hope everything related to that process goes exactly the way you'd want it to go.
I have 4 endler tanks, I introduced some tiny baby neons to one of them about 3 months ago and i love them, they boogie around with the endlers and it is a great pop of alternative color in the tank. I have frogbit in a couple of the tanks, and Salvinia minima in the others ❤
I couldn't find the H2O2 link. I use a solution of Jungle Pond Clear to soak all my incoming plants. Only once has it failed me, as a snail made it through buried in the tubers of a banana plant. I have duckweed as the floater in my Endler tank. I'm always thinning it out so I guess it's happy there. I hate moving tanks, as one seems to get broken with each move. Good luck with yours. Take care.
hey man if you see this, id like to know what type of wood is in the endler tank. this is probably one of my favorite tanks that ive seen and i would love to make my tank look similar to this in the future.
Thanks for watching and I’m glad you like the Tank! I got the wood from a friend and I’m unsure what it is but I’m fairly certain that it’s California ghost wood.
Mate I love this channel, I have a few tanks of my own and really want to start a UA-cam channel. Any tips would be great. Equipment and editing I’m really confused about.
Thank you! All my knowledge about shoot and editing has been acquired over a long period of time through trial and error. Happy to answer the gear questions you may have but my best advice to press record and see what happens after that!
@@WorldofWhasian thanks mate !! I have a few honey gouramis in my 75l and I’m planning to create a self sustaining tank. I would like to get a decent recorder £300/500 range so like $8/900 dollars ? What would you recommend.
That’s a shame about your gouramis! Seeing yours inspired me to set up a honey gourami tank too. I’m also in Indy and love going to the Reef! The endler tank looks great, makes me want to set up another tank.
I've got a crystal clear, planted tank that I feed the algae from my 20g guppy tank to & the shrimp & snails go nuts for it. ^^ I only have a couple shrimp in that tank because the cories "terrorize" everything at the bottom because they have such high energy. =p

Out of all your tanks, this is my favorite one!
Glad you like it! It's growing on me for sure.

I like how you found random items and your canister on the bottom shelf when you went digging through your cabinet 😂. Gotta love this hobby!
glad to see the corydoras in there after i reccomended them a while ago
Love em! SO fun to watch them
The green neons look great in the endler tank.
Thank you! I agree. They're also a lot more chill than endlers haha

Whoa! Had no idea you're located in Indy! So cool 🐟
The Reef is my LFS too!!
What no way!
where’d you get the risers for the light?
Do you need soil to plant an grow plants?
what fertilizer do you use and how often do you fertilize? also what root tabs are you using if any
? You just liked my comment 😄

How do you guys keep your tanks without lids? My cat would try to either catch the fish or drink from the water.
What's the trick?
He's well behaved luckily, no issues with drinking water. Our issue is that our cat likes to shred low hanging plants.
What's the tank dimension

Thank you! So many Indy locals here, I'm shocked!
👍🏻👍🏻
С уважением, друг мой, это было приятное общение.
Спасибо!
Add duckweed in the tank
Noooo 😂😂 I spent 6 days picking out every tiny bit. It's like tank herpes 😅
