I don’t comment on any youtube video but i just wanna say i really love your videos especially this kind. You made me love keeping and breeding rams. Thank you! And keep doing what you are doing!❤
I knew this was going to be a great vid in the first 30 secs. Great quality filming, editing and obviously the fish room is on another level. Keep up the good work guys 👌🏾
I love your videos. So relaxing and also informative. When I have a stressful day and find one your videos it’s a great way to relax and find some new stuff in the hobby.
Great Video!!! I wish more of your wonderful videos were like this! Taking your time and making a wonderful documentary of this great shrimp/fishkeeper ❤ Well done!😊
Thank you for another great tour! Glenn has a really beautiful caridina shrimp in his collection the purple nanasi and galaxy tigers are my favourite ones
omgoodness, I am just blown away by all of your guppies, endlers, and shrimp! I was toying with the idea of getting shrimp, and found an orange neocaridina shrimp in my tank! I had received a bunch of aquatic plants from a local seller who just happens to line breed shrimp, endlers, and wcm's which I have proceeded to buy those but not the shrimp, haha must have had a stow away in the floating plants. but your orange and black ones that were shown right before you headed down the endler guppy isle are stunning, those alone could make me a shrimp lover! I have named my lone shrimp, shirley after shirley temple😊.
Started the hobby with $80 of crystal red S-SSS, lost them. Experimented with 2 separate large batches of ghost shrimp, lost them. Nearly RO water, parameters perfect for all of the shrimp as far as I could tell. Done with the shrimp since I can't keep them alive. Feel lucky if you're the guy who can throw them in any tank and they thrive.
It's crazy to see a lot of old users on the qldaf site still continually speak & keep contact with each other. I know it's still considered "active" but it's not like it used to be. One of the first breeders I ever met was a man named Stephen from north brisbane, Kind man & a good educator. I wonder if he still is keeping fish himself too.
Hey Nick , . It would really be nice if you made videos where you show how to care for different species of fish and also the procedures to breed them.... i also request you to make a video of rearing and breeding gowramies.😊😊
I use neo Cardinia shrimp in my community tanks as my test kit. If the shrimp are hiding and not roaming around eating then I know the water needs changing.
What an amazing video, thanx a lot! So many High Quality Shrimp! Also a lot of interesting facts, thanx for that, too! Keeping and improving Juri Jansen red bees (cristal red) for years now I understand the difficulties of line-breeding Caridina very much: So hard, but so satisfying 🥰
Amazing tour! I’m really curious if the frames for the outdoor tubs near end of tour are something like stained wood or possibly Trex material or something?
What are your general thoughts on a "recipe" or guideline when starting a tank? How do you prepare and cycle it, and how long do you let it season? I have a tank i want to keep shrimp in that i just have put a filter into and a pellet of fish food, i plant to use clippings from other tanks to fill it out with plants.
@keepingfishsimple I'm moving down to Southern Brisbane area in the next few months and will be after some fish for my tank (congo tetras, bleeding heart tetras, various rainbows especially threadfins and some shrimp) I adore your setup and would love to come and buy directly from you (my father would want some fish too). Maybe in between your videos I can come meet with you sometime? :) cheers mate
I'm not so much intoline breeding because it weakens them a lot to make them beautiful aesthetic. But it's always nice to see, and i'm glad he does it mostly for hobby not for marketing.
50:05 was the most useful piece of information I could have received. My bluegrass females are dropping like flies as we speak. If I have any left when the quarantine is over, I'll be crossing them with bronze and blonde bodies. Thank you.
Hi there! Unfortunately i dont believe there are much blonde variations of grass. Plus they are a heterozygous species so have a look at red grass and blue grass genetics it will help
At the beginning with shrimps in germany, i had clients they bought a small group of taiwan bees for 3000$. It was a great time. Now i can hope they pay 3$ for my high grade Red Bees that i selected over 15 years now.
whats the best way to sell neocardina shrimp in germany if i may ask? i got hundreds of all different kinde leftover and fish stores dont seem to want them even if they have perfect colour
The shrimps were all so beautiful I want some but I’m afraid , I’m in Northern Wisconsin USA and we have hard acidic water here lots of minerals and I love my guppies
Hey i think i recognise those ivory mosaics! man i slowly over time had all my tanks crash ...was unable to keep up... ... starting over with half the tank number plants and shrimp... man i want guppies again so bad tho lol ..ahh i had imported somthing that looks very like those dumbos with the red tail n blue fins as well ...
Hello mate, i understand you sell dwarf pea puffers on you website but you dont ship to western Australia. Do you have any plans to expand to us? Beautiful shrimp!
For neos you generally don’t want ADA substrate or any active soils since they lower the ph. Neos prefer higher ph and harder water so I recommend either bare bottom tanks or using inert substrates like lava rock, gravel etc.
hi just wanted to know. i am in Melbourne. Our tap water is soft. i was told caridinas do better with soft water. and neo caridinas do better with hard water. also i was told neo caridinas are easier to look after and breed. Any help would be appreciated? thanks
Glenn is champion in everything he takes on. From Fish to Gymnastics.
I want a video of what you take home.
Man Glenn is a wealth of knowledge and super down to earth, what a weapon. Wish him every success

Awesome video man that made me hungry

Wonderful video for someone looking to build a first aquarium. Thankyou. Where can I buy that tap faucet valve/ hose!????

This is my dream for the future, not so much the master breeder part but a fish room similar size maybe a little smaller lol. Great stuff.

Very cool vid. I need to get me some shrimp 🦐🦐🦐
amazing! out of curiosity what temp does he keep the room?
I'm in central qld and so jealous of the amazing supply available further south
Must Resist the tempttation . Amazing Animals .
Most people have longer relationship with shrimp than humans 😂❤
Glenn really needs to upload more YT videos.
does he have a UA-cam?

Absolutely beautiful 😍
Hi I'm looking to do a no filter tank with shrimp as a clean up crew and some guppies. Can I use euciliptus wood or is it toxic?
I'm not so much intoline breeding because it weakens them a lot to make them beautiful aesthetic.
But it's always nice to see, and i'm glad he does it mostly for hobby not for marketing.
every
time i see guppies i appreciate even more the fact that platy females color up just as good as the males
Love both of your work,🤙looking for a species for a Rosy barb breeding tank ,anda guppy breeding tank.any recommendation,, regards Jarrod

Hello mate, i understand you sell dwarf pea puffers on you website but you dont ship to western Australia. Do you have any plans to expand to us? Beautiful shrimp!
I bourt your food and I love it
I've noticed with mine, the shrimp are less active when on a heavy feed.🦐🦐🦐
that mama guppy just ate its child at 49.10
Can I buy shrimp from your friend, and if so, from where?
does anyone have any advice for keeping/breeding guppies and shrimp for someone who's never done it before? like some dos and don'ts or something?
Hey Nick, I saw that in the Neocaridina tanks there are no substrate generally, why is that? Is it better for them than the ADA substrate?
For neos you generally don’t want ADA substrate or any active soils since they lower the ph. Neos prefer higher ph and harder water so I recommend either bare bottom tanks or using inert substrates like lava rock, gravel etc.
What he said lol. I use coral at the back to help
Glenn, are you selling any shrimp or livebearers locally? Am in Brisbane, interested in some. Cheers
