I lover superior drummer, I became a fan of the electronic drums a while ago and I am actually nowadays doing some remote recording sessions 100% with my e-kit. What Toontrack is doing is literally changing the drumming game. From my house I can sound as if I had millions of dollars on studio and drum equipment. And even that, me as a drummer who had the opportunity of recording in some amazing studios for quite a few huge projects, achieving the sound they get on Superior Libraries is hard, because like Michael Ilbert said, "there's no time now to do all that kind of experimenting, tuning, testing, etc". i I can't imagine where are we going to be in the next 10 years. My 10cents for the drummers: If you are serious about your drumming, get ready! world is changing and it's certainly going digital. Either you get ready for it or someone else will! Thanks Toontrack for this. I looooooooooveeeee it!!!!!
This is BY FAR the best sounding drum collection in the business. I wish I could buy superior drummer WITHOUT the core library and just get this one....
Wow! Thank you to this team. I loved the comment toward the end of the video when Michael said he could never have the time to do this, until this project. I'm sure many of us have been through the pain and suffering of getting our drums to sound as we wish when going into the studio. Until the rest of the band starts giving us the evil stare, lol. My drums always required new tuning in the studio, and in every live gig I ever did. Every room is unique right!! To see the team doing these things for us, and doing it right, is so incredible. Based on what I heard from the video, I'm all in. BTW, excellent video. These videos are crucial for us to understand the libraries before we purchase them. Adding Octobans and Rotos is brilliant. Getting production level sounds, priceless. Happy customer. DB
Wow! So funny that I forgot about Hansa Studios, though I know them for so long and now it is possible to get the incredible range of these drumsounds! Super yaye! Love the concept of the four rooms! Especially the vocal booth and the meistersaal. That is really awesome!
This looks AMAZING!! Definitely grabbing this sometime this week. Can you guys do a really good 80's style library next? Phil Collins type stuff. I have the 1985 library from That Sound and the 80's kit from Komplete and while they sound pretty good for that stuff, I hate using Kontakt for drums. If you guys released something like that I'd never have to leave SD3 for any drum programming ever again.
@@toontrack You guys having been on fire since Decades and Orchestral Percussion, so much detail in the samples it's impossible to make them sound bad.
I see a lot of potential for electronic genres like breakbeat, progressive breaks, DNB, ambient, hiphop-isch stuff and even synthwave, with this expansion. The different rooms and all the "coloration-mics" you get might be perfect for dialing in the right amount of dirty and/or vintage drum tones!
Toontrack should do an SDX for Superior Drummer 3 with Thomas Lang, they should bring him to well equipped studios and just let his imagination go hog wild with unique setups (Kits, Heads, etc...) If you want to know why, just watch Thomas setting up his DW kit. ua-cam.com/video/GGVueUgcdsw/v-deo.html
Absolutely stellar sounds. Another amazing piece of work! Question, how do you use each room? Does it come as 4 separate libraries? How do you choose which room you want?
Thanks! It comes as one single SDX but in the Sound library drop down menu you choose which room you would like to use. Much like the Death & Darkness SDX. Which room you want to use is up to you and the sound you think would fit in your mix. From a tight dry vocal booth and up to the big hall of the Meistersaal we got you covered :)
A fantastic sounding product made from pure devotion. We are very lucky to have these. Thanks Toontrack!
Thank you Michael and Toontrack for the wonderful time at Hansa, what a fantastic result !
Thank YOU Pom!
Thanks a lot Pom for all your support, insight, expertise and great company+spirit!
Bought it and it’s quickly become my favourite drum library. Sounds absolutely incredible.
8:40 "we had the energy, we had the time..." great statement for such a production! :)

I love these "making of" videos! It's really cool to see the setups and work that goes into these kits!

A midi pack with Tomas would be lit
Midi would be included in the SDX as well as sold separately.
Thanks for the suggestion! We'll pass it on to the home office!
