- Mix Engineer Michael Ilbert has earned multiple Grammy nominations for his mix work with producer Max Martin on albums by Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, however he cut his teeth working with punk and rock bands in his native Sweden. We caught up with him at his mix room in the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin to talk guitar recording and changes in pop production

Bruh you can do like that entire room in one program, and hes using vinatge equipment...
This is an amazing recording studio. It's a pity though to have all this gear and talented engineer and waste it on subpar crap such as the Taylor, Katy, Milley of this world. With such talent you should mix Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, Mogwai, Peter Gabriel .. Anyone with real talent that you can call a musician with a sense of pride.
If that's what you think, then you're incredibly ignorant. Not only are those 3 artists incredibly talented, but the production, writing and mixing by max Martin on those albums is some of the best I've ever heard. Max is easily the greatest producer of the last 30 years (and one of the top ever).
