Check to see if there is a dental school in your area. Our disabled son uses one and the prices are great, plus the work is excellent because the students are in their final year and supervised by excellent instructors.
My urgent care has a nurse practitioner that practices natural medicine. I left my family doc for this guy. He is not in my insurance network so it costs me a bit more for self pay, but so worth it! I have never felt better with the plan the natural med nurse practitioner has me on! I trust him way more than the family M.D. I was seeing (all he did was push prescriptions). And this natural medicine nurse prescribed ivermectin and HCQ during covid. People were lined up at his door during Covid.

Michelle, do some research in your area and find a good MRI Center that you can get a scan and report for less than $500 with no insurance. This will expedite the process and probably cost less than your insurance co-pay. Good luck!
Yes @AlanFannin going in as cash pay can save you a good bit of money. My CT scan was going to cost me $4000 out of pocket with insurance, but cash pay was only $400.
I agree. Insurance is such a scam. The insurance companies tell the doctors what they can do. I work for doctors. It's ridiculous how the doctors want to treat patients with certain drugs, but the insurance companies tell them no, they won't cover it. Then tell them what they can use

He trusted the chemo dr & died in 12 months his medical bills were over $1 million. Even with insurance I was bombarded with medical bills, the hospitals, drs, chemo drugs, tests, scans all wanted their money now even as I was paying them monthly. I paid what I could afford as a single parent now but they kept hounding me until someone told me as long as ur making monthly payments ur ok they r just trying to scare u.
For anyone who has a food saver using those pouches you can make your own heat and ice packs. Ice: add 2/3 water with 1/3 isopropyl alcohol. Leave room inside bag for expansion. Seal and Toss in freezer. Heat: Choose size of pack, add water ( leave extra room!) and seal. Throw in microwave for 30 seconds at a time. Test before doing a second 30 seconds!!! My husband hated insurance. He always said that you never have what you think you have. That being said, the insurance he had before he passed was really good to us (7 years ago). But generally, if you want to know how it works ... they love to take your money but they really don't want to give you anything back for that money. That's how most insurances seem to work 🙄
@@lynnschantz9185 it was hmos in the 80s that started it all, I was a nurse and patients died because the HMO allowed only a 2 day stay, or 4, but what if the patient needed more recovery time, it was too bad and kicked em to the curb. Biggest ripoff. I had it for years, and it increased EVERY YEAR. Affordable care act, my bippy. I was paying OVER $1200 a month for about 2 years. COULD NOT WAIT TO TURN 65. I now pay $166 a month. LOVE IT.
I just had a Stimulator inplanted in me. I am ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED. IF I HAD KNOWN ABOUT THIS STIMULATOR I WOULD HAVE HAD IT DONE 6 YEARS AGO. I just found your channel and laughed hysterically through the whole video! I love your candid talk and style. I'll be back for sure! Prayers to your husband.
Insurance...whew. April 1st I was admitted to the hospital for 8 days. Yesterday I got my EOB. After Medicare my insurance paid out $122,000!! Thankfully my balance is $0. I have to get infusions every 2 weeks and my insurance pays out $2,800 a month for that. My premiums are $114 a month. Air fryers are the way to go, I've had mine about 5 years. Good luck to Kevin
Took 7 mos. to get a Dr. appointment when we retired & moved close to the kids! We were in complete shock & yes, my husband ended up in the hospital first & both of our conditions have declined. This is America! Praying for healing & wisdom for your husband's doctors as they treat him. 🙏❤️
I had three rotator cuff surgeries on my right shoulder before I had to have it replaced and two or three surgeries on the left before that shoulder was replaced. I’m very petite and don't recognize any limits. I live alone and live a very physical life - we were taught to do everything ourselves. Anyway, I truly feel what ‘The Man’ is going through. It’s going to get worse before it gets better. Surgery is followed by a 12 weeek rehab. I used a TENS unit for the pain before surgery. I did get full range of motion back after all the surgeries including the replacements. 🙏 for Kevin!
My husband and I ditched our microwave years ago. We bought a KitchenAid oven. This thin has so many options and I use it several times a day. My husband loves the air fryer setting. This was an excellent investment for us. Praying for you husband with his injured shoulder. God bless you and your family!
Our healthcare system is failing everyone. In our area one of two hospitals has now gone into bankrupt. We now travel at least an hour away for any kind of service.
If you grab a $1.25. Float ring for kids at dollar tree push in air valve pull out the safety valve by twisting back of valve through plastic hole, this will allow you then to add bottle of alcohol and water. Freeze and you will have a slushy form fitted arm ring. The more alcohol used the less liquid will feeze.
Pulled both rotator cuffs with in a year of each other. Sucks not being able to brush your teeth or wipe your butt properly 😂. Years of time will heal it but mine has never been quite the same and is easy to re- injure. I had no surgery but wrapping it tightly in a certain position with stretchy support bandage helps with the pain at night also pillow it up.
I can relate. Right shoulder tear in rotator cuff, small bone spur and bursitis. Got a cortisone shot in my shoulder and 8 weeks of physical therapy. Shoulder is much better but still occasionally have pain. Good luck and hope he doesn't have to have surgery.

An honest surgeon will tell you that surgery does not help for a rotator cuff. I have torn cuffs in both arms. And you can work them out. I've done it. It's painful as hello, but I don't go to the doctor anymore, my doctor explained that doctors nowadays are there to make money, not heal you. I quit going to the doctor when my doctor retired. That was over 5 years ago. ❤
@@JoandtheHoGottaGo Omg, when my doctor retired in 2013, I tried a new doctor, once, then that was it for me. I still miss my doctor, she actually cared, listened, tried to help, didn't rush you in and out. She wasn't even old old, I think she just wanted to enjoy life.
Well done. You and The Kid did it right. Your poor Man! The problem is that there is a lack of PCPs now. The one's out there are completely overwhelmed. Hardly anyone goes to Medical School to become a PCP at this point, because Specialists make waaaay more money. It's awful. I have EDS/MCA/POTS/Whatever other alphabet letters we find out as we go. There is ONE PCP in my area covered by my insurance that just changed. I called to get thing rolling and she is booked out for 3 months. The main Specialist for Ehler Danlos in Oregon, where I live has a 7 YEAR waiting list. I am going to have to learn on my own and wait to get to OHSU where there are some doctors dealing with this. My daughter has this too. It's genetic. So, she has practically become a Specialist herself due to what she has been through. I have been told repeatedly, by the Medical People themselves, that the Medical System in this country is the worst it's ever been...third world kind of bad. The meds I am on give me dry mouth and (now I know) tooth problems. I have a cavity. I can't get it filled until JANUARY 2025. I can get a cleaning in October, but that's it. Fun times!!! We are going to have to use natural medicine and kick the advanced Frequency Healing technologies into gear right now, or we are all going to fall apart.
Don't wait too long, the longer time passes, the lower the chances of surgery will be able to fix it. My wife tour hers in 2 spots and number of years a ago. One was all the way through and the other was just a bad tear. Recovery was not fun but she's 100% now.
Well, I hope Kevin gets well quickly. Tell him that I told you that you can hold those cold compresses in place with staples. If you think the staples hurt too much, the shoulder doesn't need the cold compresses. As you can see, this method has many uses that are not only therapeutic, but also diagnostic. The staples may also be a good reason to have a whiskey or two. (Bottles, not glasses) See you in the next one, neighbor!
Insurance sucks! My husband’s company changes their insurance provider every July. Deductibles go from Jan 1st-Dec 31st. So in Jan his deductible starts but then in July a new insurance starts so the yearly deductible starts again. Like you, nothing (including scripts for us), get paid until deductible is met. So if deductible is $5000, it’s $5000 Jan 1- June 30, then deductible is $5000 July 1st-Dec 31st. I don’t see how this is legal but apparently it is. Then we pay weekly for this crappy insurance.
I love our Urgent cares here in N Alabama. My doctor gets so frustrated with the insurance companies. They will cover for something one month then the next they won’t. Cover for some meds and not others.
Your stories crack me up! I don't comment much but I truly enjoy you. For the Air Fryer there are awesome recipes right here on YT. Ins is horrible. If you think it's bad now, if we go to Medicare for all we will all be waiting 6months to a year to get in and care will be terrible. We will literally be like cattle. You got into an Ortho because you went to Urgent care. It's usuall 6 or more weeks to get in. I've had my Ortho for years and if I need an appt it still takes 4-6 weeks to be seen. Great video Michelle!
😂😂😂 commented too soon. I see you already found the velcro straps larger lower back ice pack. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 NEVER use paper liner in airfryer on any setting, they are a fire HAZARDS. Just in case since you are new to using the appliance.
I am an insurance expert from what I’ve learned from cvs 9 years ago and still carry the info with me to this day. Medical, dental, vision, and prescriptions. All same terminology interchangeable with anything medical involved. I have an $8k deductible with my hsa. 💕❤️🫶🏻🐿️

It takes months to get in to see a doctor in WA. Had an appointment next week and got a call the doctor is sick, so now out two more months. It is getting ridiculous.
My son is disabled and his government Medicare, which they switched him to from Medicaid this year, is taken but nearly no one. We finally found a doctor that takes his insurance, but she is a 90 minute drive away!

Insurance is the main reason I have stayed at the same job for so long! Often times if your insurance covers going to express or urgent care they have lower rates and are more upfront about the costs. Hopefully Kevin can get answers and be on the mend soon!
I was gonna say you should do stand up comedy....but I guess that's what you're doing! haha. Glad your hubby got the proper Google diagnosis for his shoulder! (Kids these days!)
Love the KID. Have her google what to do for torn rotator cuff. May be something else you can do.... Torn meniscus surgery, my bag of frozen peas were my bestest friend...
Bags of frozen veggies works too. Surgery and probably 6 weeks in a sling for Kevin. Love microwave heating pads, most are heat or cold. Good luck guys.
Don't have insurance took granddaughter to get wisdom looked at they needed to pull all 4 at first they quoted 3k but since I was paying cash it was half price
Vicks vapo rub on feet then put warm socks on. Worked for my 6 kids when had high fevers. My mom learned from a pharmacist as my sister would run really high fevers with seizures. Also cool moist cloth on back of neck & joint areas. Used to do vinegar baths but haven't heard of that in years.
I have the grill. I can do so much on it. But needed a extention cord to use it. No plug outside. But just got the cord. I can bake, cook, air fry, etc. I can do so much. I can even smoke a roast on it. Hope to use it tomorrow.
You can make your own ice packs 1 quart or 1 gallon plastic freezer bags (depending on how large you want the cold pack) 2 cups water 1 cup rubbing alcohol (70%)
Sadly the wait is for a new patient appointment. Once you are on the roster you should be able to get an appointment easier. I have a cold pack peanut for a shoulder mine can all go cold or warm. Shoulder pain is awful insurance is a thing for sure. Deductibles are painful. Hope Kevin feels better.
I usually use Urgent Care. Figured I'd better get a family doctor. Made an appointment in March, they have no appointments until October. Told me if need be, go to urgent care or the Emergency room. Shortage of doctors? I need a dermatologist. Nope, need a referral before i can see one. Ugh.

Hope Kevin heals fast. I didn't know you can cook cupcakes in the air fryer. 😍
So sorry to hear that Kevin is in pain. That's not an easy repair. Hope everything works out good for him.
A month out and just seeing this. Hope Kevin has been taken care of. Wishing him a complete recovery!!!
Lol😂 cracked me up the way you said " oh my sciatica" lol
Same here TOO omg one week it's one side and the next week it's the other
lol I have your air fryer and toaster . You really need that infrared heating pad for your pains. It’s just amazing
I don't have that air fryer thing, but I do have a toaster oven with convection. Girrrl, you need one!! I love it.
Thats all they do at the ER. Charge and don't want to do anything
Big bag of frozen peas! You can "mold" it to anything
Praying for your hubby! 😊😊
Frozen peas work ready well as a cold compress. Shapes to the joint.
For some reason they have those freezer squares/ cold bags for coolers in the sporting goods section now 🤷🏻♀️
Well Damn, lol
😂😂😂 commented too soon. I see you already found the velcro straps larger lower back ice pack. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
NEVER use paper liner in airfryer on any setting, they are a fire HAZARDS. Just in case since you are new to using the appliance.
Oh wow I love to Google symptoms. I hope they fix his rotary cup to live pain-free
I am an insurance expert from what I’ve learned from cvs 9 years ago and still carry the info with me to this day. Medical, dental, vision, and prescriptions. All same terminology interchangeable with anything medical involved. I have an $8k deductible with my hsa. 💕❤️🫶🏻🐿️
Hsa???

You can roll it over year after year and it can be invested in stocks and bonds for growth like a 401k. The gains are also tax free. I hope your husband is better. Pinterest has some really good Air Fryer Recipes. Thank you for sharing your content. Love you Sister! God Bless You! ❤️🙏🏼✝️
Praying for healing and pain relief for your husband in Jesus name.
😂 uterus... Amen sis, although i don't have that anymore thank God!
I always had to use heating pad, or a sock with rice
Feel better soon, Kevin.
You are so awesome! Best personality ever!! So real and genuine Ps You inspired me to chop my hair! Thank you for you and your husbands vids.... always excellent! 🤗
It takes months to get in to see a doctor in WA. Had an appointment next week and got a call the doctor is sick, so now out two more months. It is getting ridiculous.
I've always found the hard plastic blue ice thingys in the camping Dept, never seen them anywhere else in the store
Praying Kevins shoulder exam goes well...
Praying for less pain as he eventually heals...🫂🙏😎🕊💕
If he Needs surgery. Order the snap shirts after orthopedic surgery. They work great ❤❤❤
My son is disabled and his government Medicare, which they switched him to from Medicaid this year, is taken but nearly no one. We finally found a doctor that takes his insurance, but she is a 90 minute drive away!
That makes it hard on you but thank God you found someone that will take his insurance if there's a will there's a way
Hey girl man you been thru it lately. Totally agree on all points. Know your your busier than busy but got to Empowered Cook. She has so many recipes and teaches you how to use an Air Fryer. I'm sure she has a brussel sprouts and asparagus recipes and so many things. Sh'e's my go to.
Salonpas are great. I have Bersitis in my one shoulder and a knee. Buy them at Costco next time. It's a big box and such a good deal there.
Hope Kevin feels better soon.
Insurance is the main reason I have stayed at the same job for so long! Often times if your insurance covers going to express or urgent care they have lower rates and are more upfront about the costs. Hopefully Kevin can get answers and be on the mend soon!
Solanpas pain relief patches actually works to alleviate pain or stop it! 👍😊
Oh yah That’s how I do my asparagus !!I just Love all my veggies & sweet potatoes !!! I ❤❤❤❤
I love my air fryer ☺️
I was gonna say you should do stand up comedy....but I guess that's what you're doing! haha. Glad your hubby got the proper Google diagnosis for his shoulder! (Kids these days!)
❤ LOVE Salon pas ❤ have torn rotator cuff too. Sending prayers🙏
Yes you still need insurance it all sucks
Insurance is such a Scam !!!
When my doctor retired, it took me 1 year to get in to see another doctor! I had a hard time getting my blood pressure meds.
Michelle order the paper basket , it helps to keep the air fryer clean. Specifically with left. Over fries
Keeping you guys in my prayers, really sorry Kevin is in so much pain. Really hope he doesn't need surgery. Happy belated birthday to his mom. 🤗🇲🇽
Michelle , Tiger Balm does wonders for any aches and pains. I have used it for my lower back and it does the job!
Get a book for the air fryer I know it helps out
I need to see a neurologist, Next available appointment is in May. It's ridiculous.
😮
Don't have insurance took granddaughter to get wisdom looked at they needed to pull all 4 at first they quoted 3k but since I was paying cash it was half price
Vicks vapo rub on feet then put warm socks on. Worked for my 6 kids when had high fevers. My mom learned from a pharmacist as my sister would run really high fevers with seizures. Also cool moist cloth on back of neck & joint areas. Used to do vinegar baths but haven't heard of that in years.
French Fries are the 💣 in the air fryer.
I just had my shoulder surgery on June 23rd, now doing therapy. No pain now, but a lot of therapy to come.
Yes those patches work so so well. I love ❤️ them!!!
I love my air fryer!! Don’t know much about cooking in it but what I do make is great!❤
I have the grill. I can do so much on it. But needed a extention cord to use it. No plug outside. But just got the cord. I can bake, cook, air fry, etc. I can do so much. I can even smoke a roast on it. Hope to use it tomorrow.
Re air fryer, for sprouts, always ensure you shake them about half way through to cook evenly.,and yes air needs to circulate to cook properly
You can make your own ice packs 1 quart or 1 gallon plastic freezer bags (depending on how large you want the cold pack)
2 cups water
1 cup rubbing alcohol (70%)
Absolutely look into getting Berg polar care cube I loved mine!!!!
It is super hard to get in to see a doctor in Canada. I hear the wait time is like six months. People come to the states for treatment.
I like the new hair style!
Ugh.
The ice packs are in sporting goods and camping stuff.
RJ from PA Hi Michelle I'm glad you are letting us know what's going on with your man's shoulder. I clicked on 1 of the 2 of his videos and his arm was in a sling. It's always something in life it can never run smoothly. I just moved and we have an urgent care. I have to get a new pcp, dentist. I messed up my rotator cuff at work. I lifted a docket and it was too high and thank God I missed it falling on my foot. Then I was in a car accident and got messed up and quit my job. I really could of sued them. I'm on SSD. So you played nurse😂. I'll be keeping you all in my prayers😊
