- Dear Friends, I am proud to present you the second lesson of my 2-lesson course, Tools of the Trade: Brushes, called My Brushes. In this tutorial I will tell you all about the brushes that I use myself. In addition, I will show what is special about my brushes, why I chose them or created their design. And most importantly, I will demonstrate their capabilities and how to use them.

I was skeptical because other Chinese brushes I ordered from a UA-cam artist were not very good. Your 5-piece brush set arrived today , and I’ve tried the two caligraphy brushes on a small painting I was finishing. They are excellent. I’m very happy with them. So far so good! Considering the amount of money I´ve spent on brushes since I started painting 3 years ago, I now wish I had bought these brushes first. If I had done that, then I would have saved a lot of money and frustration.

Depending on your technique. I mostly use 5 lines flat brush + calligraphy brush.

Good question, who is "the Master," and how are the animals treated? I'm very interested in these brushes, especially the goat hair flats. I have decided to use synthetic brushes for ethical reasons, but I might buy a goat brush if I knew the animals were well cared for.
Hi Scottish, of course. The brushes are made in a small factory in China that only employs a few people. Therefore, they are handmade and that is why we don’t always have brushes in stock. The masters don’t always have enough time to cope with the volume of work. And I select a few brushes from each batch to test and to make sure the quality is great. Thank you.
Hi Matt, I absolutely share your feelings, but in this case, there is no need to worry. As you know, if the goats are not being sheared, they can die. Therefore, they are being bred and sheared on a farm, using wool for different needs. Including for the manufacture of brushes and, of course, sheep and goats only feel better from this. Thank you.

You really must learn to say THIN instead of TINY. Thin means narrow, tiny means very small. These are two very different things.
