Fun fact; the Mic 2 won't pair for the first time with an aftermarket battery in the X3 but if you pair with the stock battery one time, it will pair up with the aftermarket battery after that because it's in the list of devices it knows how to pair with.
Technically you don’t need the receiver, but the Bluetooth audio from the mic to the x3 isn’t great. Nothing compared to how good it is with the receiver connected.
Thank you, very straight to the point video, we can definitely hear loss in quality due to wireless connection, i would probably use the mic built in recorder and the wireless then sync in post
Thank you!! Working hard to identify the most important value and front load the videos. It can be hard to go straight into value without all the intro/ talking stuff, but I think I’m getting the hang of it.
Do i need to re connect manually with the mic everytime or it auto connects after i shut down and turn un again or i use that quick capture mode where if i press shutter button it captures and if i press shutter button again it turns off feature?

An excellent video, thank you. When using the insta360x3 camera, can you stop and start the video with voice command from the DJI mini microphone? Recently this option became available with the Instamic mini microphone.
So i was able to connect my mic. But can i add another mic? Or airpods? Seems x3 pairing mode only turns on when no paired decices are listed. Wierd is shows "other devices" whn you can only have one on the paired list at a time. I'm not using more than one at a time, but would just be nice to have a list of paired items to connect to.
Thank you, I got mine working last night. It would be great though if Insta360 had a future firmware update, whereby the mic level would show up on the screen, or at least a little mic icon or something to show that it was in use, even though it's from another company.
When you connect it using the receiver like in this video ua-cam.com/video/C35J4Mc1Lto/v-deo.htmlsi=ntx2pe-tKZnrIMVG It shows the levels on the screen. I think they could work that out for Bluetooth if they want to.

Is it possible to use just the transmitter and do internal recordings and you just sync the audio in post or does the mic force you to use both the transmitter and receiver for internal recording? (Asking since it would be a bit cheaper to buy just the transmitter rather than both)
Hi, I an having some huge issues. I really hope you can help because insta360 are ueless! So I bought the mic adapter for the camera and no matter what mic I use it never shows up or works at all. So I bought the DJI Mic 2 and it won't link to it via the bluetooth. I have followed the above. There isn't a setting on the camera somewhere that is blocking the mic is there? It seems madness that neither wired or wireless will show up with the camera? It's in great condition so I have no idea but I know if I send it off to Hong Kong it will A Take years to get back to me and B I have every feeling they will claim it's something I have done and expect me to spend loads to fix / get it back. Any ideas would be an actual life saver. Thanks
Hi, my dji2 mic isn't recognised by my insta 360 x3 . The only difference between my mic and yours in the video is that my mic is flashing green not blue. Is this why it's not working. How to I get to the blue light?
Yes, all you need to do is hold the red record circle button until it switches from wifi to Bluetooth mode. Then go through the pairing process for Bluetooth :)
Do you have any idea if the mic 2 can pair two devices at the same time? You mentioned motovlogger. I’ve got a high end helmet com that can pair simultaneously with 13 devices (2 phones, 1gps and 10 other coms) but the X3 won’t see it. So I thought I’d pair the com with the Mic 2 (which worked) and pair the X3 with the Mic 2 (which worked) but I’ve got no output from the com to the X3 via the Mic 2.

I have an issue with the record button. My DJIM2 connects to the 360 but when I hit record on the mic it fails to stay on. It goes red and vibrates and turns off
That’s because you can’t use the record button feature when connected by Bluetooth to a device that isn’t DJI. You don’t get internal recording, which is what you are telling the transmitter to do. You have to hit record on the camera.
@@thebetterbuy Thanks Man ✌️. I watched one of your previous videos. It turns out that to start and stop recording I need to use the pairing button. There's only one downside to this, and that there's no way of telling if it's actually recording or not. I love your videos BTW✌️

Very good video and nothing bad can be heard directly in the X3 video. I don't think the noise reduction matters that much, but what I don't like is that you can't record internally on the DJI Mic 2 (with the best of the 32 bits) while using Bluetooth, I hope they fix that in an update. Now it's time to look at unidirectional lavalier microphones. Thank you very much and keep it up.
