oh wow, that big hole on the way to top of hull is gone. Used to be a 2 ft hole on the steep climb and decent. looks like cake now. Hitting this mid may and fathers day weekend.
Right on! Glad that hole is gone, wasn’t too bad till I got to the deep gravel rock on the top and got way too close to the edge lol. Good luck on your trip!
Can I just ask about that camera bag brand. I'm trying to find something for my new Sony A7M4 and DJI MINI 3 PRO and this one looks like the right size for what I need. Thank you!
I don’t think it’s actually ever hit to be honest. Thankfully, when I go down, it’s usually when I have my luggage on out on a ride, and that takes the impact keeping the exhaust safe. But overall I love that muffler. 🤙
What a ride. If I had a dollar for every time my gopro gave me a fit, I'd be a rich man. There's been many times when I've thought about sailing it through the woods! Great footage man, that campfire and food is the best!
Thanks for the feedback! I’ve heard some great things about the new enduro batteries for go pro. Apparently it’s good down to 14 degrees or so. Found out about these after I went on this trip, but better late than never!
Nice Video. Mendocino Natl Forest is my go to area, especially during the winter when the Sierras are covered in snow. Been up and around Hull Mt. many times on my Africa Twin.
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it. I agree completely, Sierras are choice number one for sure, but when it gets cold, this is a great option. I had a great time up there and will be back for sure. Hopefully I’ll see you out there!
Cool ride and engine sound, motocamp is awesome. Liked the way You fastened the Duffle along the bike, thats how I use to do if I only use a dry bag, so I was just wondering about that and then I see You do it this way 🙌😁💪. Nice view at the end👌 Subscribed /Mattias
Thank you! The mounts for my 35L bags come up a little high and it was impossible to get the bag open if I had it mounted sideways, so I turned it and it worked much better. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
i love this video!. im convinced i need a bigger bike for some of the rides around here. watching yours and then watching my crf250l struggle on the hills going to lake pillsbury.. great video awesome footage.
Thanks man! I love having the big bike. Don't get me wrong, its really heavy when you get into the technical stuff, but its a blast on and off the road. Hope to see you out there some day!
@@EpicAdventuresOffroad yeah i thought my crf was heavy until i got used to it..im sure your bike is crazy heavy. couldnt imagine trying to hold it up while its trying to fall over lol.. fun stuff.
I am interested in buying the rearview mirrors that you have on your KTM. I also have a KTM 2024 1290 sas Could you tell me the brand and where you got them from?
Nice bike set up. Looks like you've got it dialed in. Are you located in the Bay Area? I'm another one itching to get out there. I've just started Adventure riding. Most of my experience is Trail Riding but looking to do more on my VStrom.
Nice! I am in the Bay Area, adventure riding is pretty awesome and has grown a lot in the last few years. Glad you’re getting involved. 👍 not sure where you’re located, but Mendocino National Forest has hundreds of miles of forest roads and trails to be explored and should be pretty easy for someone just getting into ADV riding. Good luck, and thanks for watching!
I use Gia GPS mostly, and that is honestly the best one I have seen so far, but I recently (this video actually) tried on-x off-road, and found it to be somewhat clunky. I think they have some details to iron out, then it could be a good option.
Great video, looks like your out west, I have the same bike, similar setup. Freedom loving people... Easy friends. I'm in North East Pennsylvania. Thank you for the great video.
Hello, so very nice to meet you! I am new here, I love your channel, I really enjoyed this video! I will be here to support you! I wish you good fortune! Take good care! 🌹 +1 Subscriber ❤️🔥
Great Vid man, hey just picked up a Hero 9 was curious if you are chin mounted, and also what settings you got. Maybe a good future video... unless I missed one
I don’t have one on that stuff yet, thanks for the suggestion. And yes, chin mount. 4k @30 FPS. Whatever you do, make sure you record in the same settings across all of your cameras- phone, GoPro, main camera, etc.. 👍 thanks for the comment!
Nice vid, rode a couple weeks death valley yosemite etc last summer. I wanna carry too. Ride solo .Whats up with that? You just stealthy? Am from Mi have cpl here but no go in Ca. Sounds like big deal if caught. Thks! Subd
Hey man, thanks for watching. Some counties are much easier to get a ccw permit than others. Also you’re allowed to have a loaded weapon while in National Forest in CA. Wether or not that includes concealed I’m not sure. So do what you will with that info. Hopefully I’ll see you out there. 👍
I have two different apps for navigation. Both of them have strong points. The one I use the most is probably Gaia GPS, then right after that is onX off-road. Both are great, although if you’re only going to do one - go with Gaia, way more options in that app. And the quad lock is phenomenal. Super fast on and off the bike. No complaints whatsoever.

That's a nice coffee setup. great for cold mornings.
An Elk bugle is one of the best sounds in the wild when everything’s quiet!! … and I need to get my camp breakfast on that level lol
Man I couldn’t agree more. That trip was so amazing with the Elk being right next to camp.

what ktm is this bike?
It’s a 2019 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R

No Root Beer from TB?? That Elk Bugle is awesome. What kind of tent is that?
Trying to watch my girlish figure 😂 and the tent is a marmot catalyst 2 person tent. Super light, great for what I’m doing. 👊
What navigation software are you using on your iPhone??
Does your Quad lock mount meet your expectations?
Thanks

@@EpicAdventuresOffroad I suspected that. They drained my savings the other day will have to wait for those lol. The folding ones i assume?
What month was this filmed? Looks like I’ll need to add this to my list.
This was only a couple weeks ago. December 10th I believe. It’s a great ride. I’ll be back for sure.

What mapping system are you using for offroad trails?
I use Gaia gps and on x off-road for my navigation.
Bike sounds awesome, do you have a full system on it? if so did you need to get properly tuned?
Just looked back through your videos and found the answer :) , Great video.
Glad you found the other one 👍 Thanks for watching!

Thanks for clarifying!
I’d love to have a piece of mountain property one day!
