Recognizing much of the trail here from my run over that area in 2022. Water crossing was awesome as Taz just went for it and what a save! Crossed it solo and it has eaten a few bikes.
Loving the vids and views. I definitely need to source out the BDR up here in Canada I ride the FTR (forestry truck road) also beautiful. No better way to spend a weekend away. Tks agn and keep the vids coming
A great Christmas Surprise!!! Great to see ya back on the grind man!!! Really enjoyed this one. We took the eastern side of the wilderness on the T3 route so we missed this part of the BDR. We rode that north to Wallace and then started back south on the BDR and jumped back off in McCall. Glad to see these sections in good detail. Enjoyed it man. Merry Christmas to you and family buddy!
Thanks man! Good to be back. Yeah this was a fun section, super long hard days though. We kept up a pretty dang good pace the whole time and still didn’t make it as far as we were hoping. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well! Thanks for stopping by to leave a comment!
I'm sure you mentioned somewhere, but what time of year did you do this trip? We might have early spring this year and hoping I could head out mid-June.
Gear questions for you; are those Klim Baja S4 pants you wear? What brands of adventure style pants are you wearing in some of your camping videos? I am a bigger guy too (I have the same tall KTM) at 6ft4in and 265lbs and I find a lot of the pants 1. Too short and 2. Too tight in the seat and thighs. Your stuff looks like you have found athletic fits that allow you to move freely.
Hey, sorry for the delayed response. I went through a few different pants before I found these. They're the Klim Switchback pants. Been very pleased with them overall. Thanks for watching!
The water crossing, where is that at? Is it right on Bear Vally Rd 582? Are there any other roads that go around it? I’m planning a solo trip and would love to avoid it.
Water crossing is on the track that peels off at the cabins and parallels Clear Crk Rd out of Lowman ... just stay on Clear Crk Rd and you'll bypass the water crossing. The water crossing isn't worth the risk of watering out an ADV bike ... a smaller single cylinder, no problem.
They are a basic Sena headset. They worked really well throughout the whole trip. With a clear line of site its probably about half a mile. When you're going around turns and mountains its less, maybe a quarter mile or so. But we stayed pretty close together most of the time so it was never an issue.
If you ever go out, then you're part of the problem, just remember that. One time I was sitting in traffic on my way home from work, and I complained to my wife about it and she told me that I'm on the road, in the same spot as all of the other cars, so I'm just as much an issue as the rest of the people out there. It was a better way of looking at it, so I don't complain as much about it now. lol
Nice, respect for piloting those battleships!

Agreed! Could have been way worse. Nobody wants a swamped bike that far out in the back country. Thanks for watching!
Really enjoying these....All the best from Canada!

Outstanding, trying to get my riding crew up for the IDBDR in 25 headed to Patagonia in 3 days. Great content, keep it up and stay on the throttle.
Thanks! And good luck on your trip!
2 of the best sounding bikes in the world! I see you were carrying extra fuel… did you need it?
Thanks! Never had to get into it thankfully!

Living the dream! What bike are you riding?
That is a 2019 KTM 1290 Super Adventure. Thanks for watching!
What type of radios were you using to talk to each other. How was the range?

Oh my gosh is happening, shamala hamala

Social Media and" Butthead Maps" has ruined a lot of great riding areas! TOO MANY VEHICLES!!!
