There's a lot of denial about Marijuana with the whole acceptance movement / propaganda. Sure there are some people that smoke everyday that can live that life and be successful and happy but for every one of those there's a hundred people that become unproductive lazy, nuke their short term memory capacity and become delusional.

I needed to see this as 20 year old kid aspiring to do big things with his life. I’ve had my ups and downs Turing mainly to weed and sometimes alcohol but this just opened up my eyes more. I’ve literally notice how I function different when I’m constantly smoking vs when I’m stone cold sober hell even when I’m just taking edibles which aren’t as harmful to the body . I like the sober me better and I get so much more shit done and my mind is just so much in a better place my girlfriend especially notices it. I’ve been replacing my bad habits with good ones. One thing I’m trying to do a lot more of is read. I just recently started reading can’t hurt me by David goggins and wow is it an amazing life changing book. I’ve noticed reading helps me focus more, helps with my anxiety, and depression for sure. Thank you Pat for this video!

It's hard, but never give up on them. Chances are something horrific happened as a child. Ex molestation, parents divorced..etc..
Lost family members, hubby is 15yrs clean, he would be dead if I didn't stick by, everyone disowned him..
Weed is legal in Canada, which I was a huge advocate when I was younger..today as my child enters high school, every kid smokes weed now..✌

Since Covid-19 started I lost my job and started doing drugs as a way to cope. I ended up attacking my sister New Year’s Eve 2020 and almost killed her. She forgave me and I stopped doing hard stuff and started just smoking weed. This past New Year’s Eve I was about to jump off a bridge off a highway by my house. But I didn’t and decided to be sober and it’s been 4 days since. I have the shakes and keep sweating and can’t sleep. I just hope God gives me strength to get past this and become a better man.

People say weed is not a big deal, I did it for 8 years almost everyday and when I stopped it, I felt drained, no motivation, horrible dreams, no creativity, no degree to name, no direction and it took a few very difficult months to feel better. Exercise helps a lot here.
Adam says people never OD from weed, its true, but it takes a lot away from a person. every high in life will give you an equal low as well. everything we get when we high from weed is taken in same quantities when we stop doing it.
If people already have a lot of control over themselves and do it once a week or month then its a different story but emotionally disturbed people get very addictive and need a lot of determination to get out of it.

The cocaine in Miami is garbage, best cocaine is in San Diego and El Paso... from what I heard.

    Pat’s last comment! 😂 😆 😂 😆
So, are you saying owls do cocaine?
Great episode though. Loved the thoughts about the drug being a social issue more than an addiction. Teach your kid to be confident in his mind and the sky is the limit.

I don´t see cannabis/pot as a gateway drug.... I see the crowd/company you choose to hang out with as the primary gateway.
There will always be a percentage of the population that are prone to addiction...that have the genetic disposition for it (some of them will stay away from it...most probably won´t). This percentage will always exist & will always be drawn to whatever drugs/alcohol that are available.
Cards on the table...Inform people (youth) of the risks & then let them make their own choice.

Because it isn't. Humans are a gateway drug. Everything they do they eventually become accustomed to and eventually they want a bigger stronger experience.
ALSO for anyone seeing this, "weed" is not a drug. On any level. Just like carrots aren't a drug or cabbage or dill or celery.

I smoke weed, it's great for anxiety. Without it I wouldn't be making my way through law school. About 6 hours of book work per day.

As funny as it might sound I think cannabis can be helpful as long as you dont lose motivation. I think the problem that people run into is when they start to do it too much. A good friend will not ask their friend to smoke too much. Idk if some "fictional character" that I know would be as creative and as much an outside the box thinker if he never took that rip. But also they probably smoked more than was good for them which is very possible aswell.

I know this is a very serious topic so I'm just going to respectfully say one thing.
Once Adam or Adumb admitted to doing a lot of drugs explains so much. He's like a cautionary tale intended to annoy the crap out of you until you stop doing drugs. I understand now.
