I gave it a shot with the autechre reel on my system, and tried to adapt this workflow with different modules, very interesting stuff to work on around the Morphagene !! Cheers

This would work beautifully with the plonk where you can create and record randomized percussion into splices automatically with some clever patching to create whole reels of random drums kit.

hello there. quick question.. do i have to place the samples on a grid , bar or some specifc mesure on the audio file (from my daw)?? is yes.. how? thanks a bunch.

For this video we placed the markers at the transient points. There was no "rhythm" aside from what was created by the (arbitary) length of each sound. You could download the Reel by following the link in our description, and check it out in the Morphagene or in your DAW, to get a sense of what I mean.

Looks fun, but is there any means other than Reaper to add splice markers to a sample under OSX?

I believe people have done it with Audition, maybe ProTools? Reaper is the only one I've tried that has given 100% reliable results. Well, that and the Morphagene's SPLICE button.

Can you setup a drum and ambient patch to run at same time in one Make Noise shared system? How would that work?

I have gotten similar sounds with just a Morphagene, wogglebug, mimeophon, erbeverb, and maths. That would leave both the sequencers, optomix, and DPO free for ambient stuff. Though having another delay or granular processor for the ambient portion would be more ideal, of course.
