I agree, you can really tell that you reached the next level since you started with the modular synth... just sounds and looks like a natural flow what you do!
The thing your modular and OP-1 videos have in common is when I hit play, I have no way to anticipate what sounds are going to come out. And on top of that, you’ll somehow make it make sense? It’s good. Thank you so much
This probably some of the brightest-sounding, most melodic, and well executed eurorack modular productions I have heard in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed this jam/walkthrough.
Ok, this is insane. I've always seen you as an absolute mastermind in terms of music-production and productivity, but this is on a whole 'nother level. You need to collaborate with a games designer, music like this would fit amazingly within a game.😍
I got MI Clouds for granular fun and after I got a sampler, the 4ms, they immediately fell in love with each other and really enjoy playing musical ball back and forth. Thanks for new Ideas I'll try to do with Clouds. Sweetest most melodic demo of this module I've seen
Might I encourage you to pair a Morphagene with your Clouds? ...I mean working with what you have is the much wiser thing to do, but the pair does play together beautifully >.>'' Throw in a Mimeophon too!
Totally agree on how musical this demo is--so good! Interesting idea--do you think you can get much of the Morphagene functionality by combining a Clouds with a Sampler module (I have the ALM Squid)? Seeing a Morphagene demo (also great, but not like this) back when they came out is what pushed me over the edge to make the leap into Eurorack. It was one of the first modules I got, but don't think I was ready at the time and had to let it go as I didn't have room in the 6u rack for both the M and Clouds (which was a bit more accessible).
Jeremy, this is truly beautiful beautiful stuff. As someone who’s finally delving into modular after years of being intimidated, I’m so inspired by how easily and plainly you explain patch-making. Please continue to make more videos like these! Especially if you could explain your drums, they sound sooooo good. Thank you for all that you do.
Reverse sounds are addictive. Especially ones with gentler transients bc then they kinda fade out more... gently. Idk I just know I have a single guitar pedal with a reverse delay setting, and boy does it go places!
Morphagene is one of my favorite modules. I lost this past weekend revisiting some reels I’d had saved away. Todd Barton has two incredible reels, one with his shakuhachi music that sounds so good manipulated and reversed. The other is music from the kesh reel, that has some lovely vocal and pads that are so rad to just switch around with the organize control. Great video! Always game for more morphagene stuff lol
Really inspiring video! I’ve been trying to generate the same style sounds using non modular gear and the more I look into these cryptic make noise boxes the more I want to learn more
Very cool! I love to see different folks' approaches to Morphagene; it's an incredibly flexible module, so coming to it in different ways always results in wildly different results and things to learn! You should know: there's a firmware update that adds a handful of new options, for doing things like pitching your samples with v/oct, manual control over levelling, defining the exact range of pitch shifts that occur when Morph is turned way up, improved signal to noise ratio, CV-able phase modulation, and a bunch of other things. I'd definitely recommend checking it out!
15:45-18:30 sounds kinda like early Broken Social Scene to me, which is very much my jam. I'm thiiiiiiiiis close to blowing all of my money on modular. Thanks!
Jeremy - as usual I really enjoyed this gear review/tutorial, but there is another kind of content I would be interested to see from you (and perhaps I'm not alone?). I'd love to have a peak into your approach/workflow for going from a "jam" to an actual song arrangement. Of course there is no "right" way, but I bet you've got some strategies/tips that would be useful. Keep up the good flow, bro.
Your compositions are really fantastic! I have had a morphagene for about 2 years and I have only really used it for granular and some really weird stuff, but seeing how you used it with your compositions was inspiring. I am not always consistently active with making music and there is a lot I am still learning. I also have have a lot of modules, so sometimes I don't spend the individual time working with them that I need to in order to master it or become more adept with it. Great video!
Im so jiving with all thevmusic in This demo.. you have a solid euro with a small kick and snare module, one VCO and morphagene.. Really great demo Jeremy!
Awesome video Jeremy! loved the sounds! The morphagene was one of my first modules which i paired with a 0 coast and behringer neutron for some modulation. Even with a limited setup i spent months exploring new territories. I have since built out to 204 HP and am constantly suprised with what i can do with it. I can build similar concepts in VCV rack and bitwig studio these are not as fun and performative and honestly quite time wasting over the simple morhagene's interface. Cheers!
Damn! Thanks Jeremy. So cool. The only drawback as I see it, but doesn’t seem to diminish its creativity, is that (edits aside) is basically monophonic.
Damn, you just happened to be reviewing a piece of gear I am interested in today... Loved your Hydra insights....Always excellently organized and presented info,,,, Thanks for another awesome upload
yea I have yet to venture into anything Euroracky, and admittedly know little (so overwhelming to this newcomer) but this and the Mimeophon are the ones that entice me to do so.
Great module, this will be lockdown on ramen for the next 3 months ..as if i needed to see more great demos of the module. Nice demo with the opus 3 accapella...
Goddamnit Jeremy, I've been trying to convince myself for months that I don't need to go modular just for a Morphagene because I'm a guitarist and already have so many loopers, but then 5:30 happens
how do. you like the quad drum from vpme.de? I was really interested in it, found a decent priced used one for sale but it was too late. wondering if it really is as great of a eurorack drum solution as i think it is, or if it's not worth it?
I feel like even putting a Morphagene in a standalone case could be worthwhile. Maybe pair it with an ES-8 to modulate it from a computer on the cheap.
made.ONLINE a month ago I had a moog grandmother and no interest in eurorack, but now I have a clouds, make noise tELHARMONIC and Mimeophon. Best purchases ever
Hi Jeremy, thanks for another very cool ambient modular video..... where is a good place to start your modular journey, first piece of equipment and a good path to follow ? Cheers
Man I’m either about to bite the bullet and dive headfirst into modular or get a pro 3 and hope all the “digital modular “ workflow of the device would keep me satisfied. Modular seems like so much fun. What should I do Jeremy!!??
really heavily debating building a eurorack and just only having a morphagene in it for a while idk if you check comments on older videos, but i figure i should ask: is that a good idea? or should I prioritize something else first
Incredibly inspiring even 4 years later. Thank you so much.
Perfect blend of talking and music with nicely balanced volume.
Exemplary demo sir 🫡
Hey man, things are rough right now and this video took me away from that for a bit. I was dreaming for a while. Thanks.
I hope you're doing OK now
@@christopher_ecclestone doing better, yeah. Thanks.
Man your really just beaming as an artist with this new modular setup. The sounds are incredible.

blown away by this setup, I know nothing about modular and need to know more
For a hot second, it sounded like you cracked the Boards of Canada sound style. That shit ain’t easy.
dammit, Jeremy, not only your content and videos are amazing, the music that you create whilst making them is gaspingly beautiful. kudos
❤️❤️
Ah that Opus III acapella definitely had new life breathed into it. Nice.

I will do a video on the drums soon! And thank you!
Red Means Recording if you could also give tips on how one would get so good at modular so quickly be sure to throw that in there too
Ditto that! Really nice vid and music
Reverse sounds are addictive. Especially ones with gentler transients bc then they kinda fade out more... gently.
Idk I just know I have a single guitar pedal with a reverse delay setting, and boy does it go places!
Pams new workout + Morphagene is just a winner combo!
I think I've watched four Morphagene demo videos and never really got it... and then THIS! Thanks for the amazing demo, really sounds amazing.
Morphagene is one of my favorite modules. I lost this past weekend revisiting some reels I’d had saved away. Good tips
man... I come back to 14 min mark of this video regularly. It's genius. This is the music I want to make. So good.
I almost sold Morphagene until this video. I was kind of stuck with ideas. Thank you so much for this video!
Really inspiring video! I’ve been trying to generate the same style sounds using non modular gear and the more I look into these cryptic make noise boxes the more I want to learn more
Teardrop meets Air @11:00 ...beautiful
Modular Synthesis blows my mind.

Amazing sounds. I just don't have the knowledge to go modular. I love those hook and loop cable wraps. I also love the reverse sound . Very cool 😀
was sitting on the fence on morphagene because I have beads on order. Your video pushed me over. Every single example was just incredible.
Mine is finally in the post- yay! Saved your run-through ‘til I knew it was on its way- ve-ery nice…
By far the best Morphagene demo I have seen
Great video, I've been struggling on how to put morphagene to good use so far but this has sparked a lot of ideas to try things out
LOVE THE TRACKS FROM THE LAST FEW MINUTES...HEALTHY OPTIMISTIC VIBE
One of my favourite Morphagene vids, great work thanks, and dig your tunes in the vid.
Love this. You talk about the Pam's a lot. Would love to see a Modular Monday for it.
good idea
I've just discovered that you recently started the mighty Modular journey. Awesome, will check out all the videos in the playlist!
Really great demo. Love how you put it into a very usable context.
Loved the mangled Satie at the end 😊
those little plucky string sounds in the last demo song are so easy on the ears, good stuff
New Red Means Recording? It's gonna be a fine night, tonight... 🤔
Exactly the walkthrough I’ve been looking for. Thanks for this, great content!
Dude! That vocal sample processed is pure gold!
15:45-18:30 sounds kinda like early Broken Social Scene to me, which is very much my jam. I'm thiiiiiiiiis close to blowing all of my money on modular. Thanks!

@@RedMeansRecording yes please!
This is for sure my next module. This things been out of stock everywhere. Just did score a mimeophon. Very fun delay.
Last track was chipper AF! Cartoon hamsters in the woods building as cabin.
Great presentation. Sorta demystified it a little for me.
i’ve been loving processing the Lyra-8 with your zoia patches, especially “loop forest.” Thanks for those :)
Loop forest I still use all the time!
It's a fine day!!!!!!!! One of the best of the old skool
Insane module - this track is crazy good. Love it!!
Fantastic demo! Some good explanation, but also your tunes are sweet!
wow, love the sound of your demo's! and the morphagene looks amazing, but the video got me really interested in your drum setup! :D
Vpme qd with custom samples I think
This illustrates why I want modular. I'm so close to going headfirst into this.
I’m calling this the best morphagene demo to date. Informative and musical with plenty to take away and try.
Jeremy has modular infection) We've lost him)
This is a must in any Eurorack set up in my opinion 👌
This video got me SO INSPIRED. You're amazing, Jeremy!
I've been waiting for mine patiently for a few weeks, can't wait to mess around with it. Great video as always!
Oh man! I just can’t with this video. You’re awesome and SO inspiring.

Jeremy, you are a treasure. Thank you for this!
One day, when I am able to stop living paycheck to paycheck, I hope to get a rack, and an OP-1.
Wow these jams are so pleasant to listen to 👌
Damn! Thanks Jeremy. So cool. The only drawback as I see it, but doesn’t seem to diminish its creativity, is that (edits aside) is basically monophonic.
the ahbrar might be what youre looking for, but polyphony in eurorack in general is rare
Damn, you just happened to be reviewing a piece of gear I am interested in today... Loved your Hydra insights....Always excellently organized and presented info,,,, Thanks for another awesome upload
Great video man ! And your drums really made the morphagene shines !
The demos in here are amazing.
Gods I wish I had the money for modular...
I had overlooked this module. that was a mistake. thanks for correcting it :)
love the Way however U describe the Things!!!! Hugs!!!
This is my dream set up 😍😍😍. Such cool sounds, great work dood!
Great tutorial, thank you for your detailed insights. I've just got mine Morphaghene 🥳🥳😁😁
That third demo is insanely good, damn. Incredible sounding stuff!
Great overview and, as always, amazing sound design and music.

Hi! There is new firmware update that helps with proper gain staging on the module and brings bunch of new features.
Also, eurorack suits you
Awesome jams! Well played. Now I want a Morphagene even more! ;-)
thanks for the tutorial, and for the inspiration ideas. keep up!
This sample really works, love this sound mate 👌
I got some Solvent vibes at 12:20!
how do. you like the quad drum from vpme.de? I was really interested in it, found a decent priced used one for sale but it was too late. wondering if it really is as great of a eurorack drum solution as i think it is, or if it's not worth it?
I love it. It's very capable and fully featured. Really smart design and combines systhesis and samples. I will try and do a video about it.
Today white means recording
Great demo, Jeremy! May I ask you what triggers your QD module and how you set these patterns? (I love them)
last example is beautiful!
Morphagene is my favorite module ❤️
It's getting more and more difficult to resist pulling the trigger on a modular system and it's all your fault, Mr Blake 😜😬👍🏻.
I feel like even putting a Morphagene in a standalone case could be worthwhile. Maybe pair it with an ES-8 to modulate it from a computer on the cheap.

Hi jeremy great demo when you say make the gate slower how do you do this on Pam's? Is it just the /2 etc your using or another parameter
You make me love every single module god damnit now i need to buy this >:(
sick percussion chops man!....also morphagene tips are off the hook
This feels like such joy.
Hi Jeremy, thanks for another very cool ambient modular video..... where is a good place to start your modular journey, first piece of equipment and a good path to follow ?

Holy shit, I thought my rack was growing fast. You went from a full 3U to WAY more pretty fast. Jealous :)
woah, way to demo a module, that was ace.
Came to see what Jeremy would do with this thing. Wasn't disappointed.
Wow. That sounded amazing.
omg, please tell me, what is the intro reel? that's a beautiful sound
I've uploaded all my reels to freesound.org
Love the Erik Satie at the end

VCVRack is the free software that lets you do this workflow on your computer.
Karl Stamm sort of. It doesn’t have all the modules I actually would want though
hey..have a question) - how u did such nice drums????
The acapella one sounds awesome especially drums sound amazing what do you use?
really heavily debating building a eurorack and just only having a morphagene in it for a while

you would need modulation to make it work. there are a ton of software granulators out there.
