You mean a depressed gaming PC? Jokes aside, this game is f--king amazing. I have a dedicated playlist for drawing/breakdowns that's just rain world music (Without happy ones like Kayava, i have another one for all)
I remember being so shocked on my first saint run, I tried taking the chimney canopy over to the wall and it just straight up wasn't there, like it wasn't horribly unexpected but it was a surprise nonetheless
I figured the next events would be Pebbles' collapse, but I had to go visit the bridge to see if it really did. The question then was which regions did he collapse onto, and how. They did a great job mashing them up (literally).
I like how you knew exactly what happened just by it not being visible on frame, it could have just been pebbles bridge falling off but instead we all knew deep down that pebbles collapsed, just because the bridge wasn’t there 😅
Everyone's first saint run in a nutshell: "Ight so we'll just go climb the wall real quick to get that 3rd echo. Should be pretty easy with my tongue cli- *Where's the wall????"*
I ADORE these timeline comparisons! I haven't been able to find any good direct comparisons of how the environment changed with the passage of time, thank you so much for this!
Same, however the main thing I've noticed is that with the other scugs Drainage System is... Well Drainage System, but as Saint it's a lush, warm haven.
@@isaquedopao6667 it could be when that there is less Pole plant because if you think about it it makes sense there mean hunting strategy was looking like poles in areas like industrial complex that is filled with poles but when the winter started and most creatures can't live in the surface anymore so it needed to go to drain system where there is a lot less poles and because of the food shortage the ones left in the surface are in smaller numbers
Heading over to the wall from chimney as saint to meet six grains just to be met by the empty screen was one of the most chilling moments in a game for me, especially with that music that plays I was so stunned.
It’s kinda smart how they start you off in sky islands, so that if you decide to go straight for the wall without knowing it’s gone you haven’t been completely cucked (and also the fact you have to go to chimney eventually anyway)
Watching videos like these makes me realize how sad rain worlds story is. Just a bunch of slowly dying iterators, echos forced to bear the passage of time forever, and wild animals. i wonder how long it will be until the next advanced civilization, or if everything will descend into the void by then.
Isn't it literally in the lore that some shitdust particles are constantly coming down and keeping a same rate as the void is eating the ground beneath, so the world won't just become a floating void droplet in space.
Honestly, i am thinking of a slugcat campaign that goes on when scav and slug populations have both reached civilization an are currently in the medival era and NSH has sent out a slugcat scout (without turbo cancer, he fixed that error) to check up on evrything aswell as give some neurons to moon to give her a litle help, maybe the scavs rule the sky islands and chimney camnopy while the slugs dominate shoreline and live within moon trying to help and fix her, maybe NSH's can is playable and maybe this slug can spawn around his slightly delapidwted but still functional underhang then decending to his leg which conects to the starting area of hunter
One of the echos said that there existed civilizations long before the ancients, civilization with capability possibly matching it. The echo later said that the ancients might be the tenth or the thousandth civilization in this greater cycle.
Making consistent past and future versions of settings like these isn't at all easy, so I'm impressed at how they made the waterfront facility and garbage towers work. I am, however, having a nervous breakdown over who made the grafitti on Moon's dock.
The mirror of the early Garbage waste and Waterfront Facility compared to the base game was one of my favorite parts of the DLC. That and most of Saints playthrough, it really gets the snapshot in time feel.
@@aarepelaa1142 idk if you've seen, but the entire world is a frozen wasteland, pebbles got a fate worse than death, and all the other slugcats, including ruffles, are dead!

The wall is an easier trip than the rest of the exterior, and I had the perfect amount of karma for it, so I went that way as per usual. Well, I WOULDVE. Yeah. I don’t think a video game has hit me with a more ‘ Oh. Oh *shit.* ‘ moment than realising what the lack of that passageway implied.
im currently working on an essay which compares rain world to the lost city of angkor wat in cambodia, and the DLC has been a goldmine of further comparisons for this very reason. great video!
Well at least moon has some hope going forwards scince she is still somewhat functional in saint's campaign, pebbles is just flat out dead thanks to the rot and the loss of his rarefaction core so he will most likely be almost if not completly deactivated if there was a campaign after the saint
Well... Spoilers: They are both cannonicaly dead. Forever. The Saint's cannon end is ascending both pebbles and moon, then presumably continuting to the next ones...
These are some really nice videos; puts things into perspective. I've been considering something of the sort as well a few weeks back, but I'm too lazy to go beyond a simple side by side comparison of the Garbage Wastes

Pairing the dissonant bridge of "Claire De Lune" over the failure of Moon's systems is a stroke of genius, ngl

After seeing that bridge was gone, I instantly went towards shaded citadel to see if it has been unshaded.
