Hi there Paul, another great speedy build video of this entry Tamiya model. I, too cut my teeth in 1984 with the Tamiya Hornet. This is a terrific beginners RC, it just so happens I got an Amazon voucher from work for length of service, so I managed to obtain one of these bad boys too. It’s amazing what you get as standard with this kit, oil filled shocks, torque tuned motor. Great build. Take care and best wishes 😊😉😁
@@FullOnRC I'm toying with putting a 15t motor in it as my gravel hound uses to run pretty well, after brushless it's kinda slow, but I don't want it at crazy speeds
@@FullOnRC I definitely would have to agree with you. It’s a great alternative to the grasshopper or hornet if you want a budget model that’s more modern tech.
Nice... thanks.for the video... Let me know what you think after running the buggy... but for a lot of our 2wd rigs, fairly soft springs and lighter oil k. The rear translates into a car/truck that has more weight transfer to the rear when getting on the throttle, and therefore more forward bite.... this is speaking of 2wd dirt offroad...
Thanks for the tips Isaiah. I have three DT03's now and they all seem OK stock. Turning isn't as good as My Sand Viper due to long wheelbase, but they are pretty ok stock.
nice. i have the aqroshot and will be working on the neo fighter buggy as well. i am waiting for the blitzer beeltle wheels/tires for mine. i have the ww2021 uprights to fit bigger tires. i will power it with some cheap 3660 motor.
@@Audace1400 A few people have asked the same. I seen in a Tamiya group on Facebook someone else used it and said they also have had no issues with it. I honestly wouldn't say over extended time so I couldn't recommend it for that reason TBH.
Nice build👌, such a good looking buggy👍
Thanks for sharing another great video mate👍🦘🇦🇺
Cheers my friend. Thanks a lot for tuning in.

Arhhh nice one John, that is great to hear. Enjoy my friend.
A great buggy, I really need to run mine lol
Me too. I have only run this once so far. But my other DT-03 that I have run a few times is awesome. It is an awesome chassis by Tamiya for sure.

@@fettfan1475 Yerrrhhh Understandable. I like mine a bit too fast. Here is the running video. ua-cam.com/video/mOStZDOTsYA/v-deo.html
Another nice Build Paul 😎
Thanks I think it is a great cheap Buggy from Tamiya.
Definitely looks great!!
For the Money. I think this is one of Tamiya's best Budget rc's. Cheers for tuning in my friend.

Stunning build Paul ♥️
Awesome kit, great for beginners and does look stunning. CHeers Emily.

Nice. I have the Aqroshot too. Really enjoy running that although the way the body mounts is rubbish.
@@FullOnRC my aqroshot body has some cracks just by some flipovers not jumps...so I got some traxxas rustler body mounted. Its from jconcepts...
Great build. I’ve just about finished mine, but unfortunately cutting the body shell proved to be my downfall😕
Ahhh that sucks Mark. I sometimes balls up on things like that. Hopefully you get it sorted my friend.
What kind of servo is required? Seems like "standard 1/10" servo, but what does that mean? In mm sizes (:

This is the servo I use. Cheap and quick.
What kind of grease are you using in the gearbox?
Sorry for the late reply. UA-cam notifications are not working. I use this www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203193213434
Thanks for tuning in
@@FullOnRC oh cool thanks 👍
That stuff doesn't negatively effect the plastics?

@@FullOnRC if you greased it up 6 months ago and it's still holding together I guess it's good? 🤔
@@Audace1400 I think so too. Grease is grease, there is usually a big warning on the tin "not safe with plastics"
I might do another tamiya
Yerhh what you thinking?
@@FullOnRC not sure, the one I did was a TT02. Are you subscribed to me Paul?
@@Emily_xx5 I am as of now.
@@FullOnRC thank you, means a lot to me. I was looking at the Ford Mustang GT4, Sabaru TT01E. Is there any you would Recommend
@@Emily_xx5 Any on those really, depends what body you want. I would go with one of these TBH, Torque tuned motor, oil dampers, great kit.
you put on tires inner foam?
No.
You only need inner foam on large tyres that tend to balloon out , or glue them in if there’s issue 💯
Hi, what parts do I need to buy separately?
Servo, Radio System, Battery, and charger. Some shops sell bundles with all included. That maybe best option.
