Rorke literally takes him to Brazil
Literally "You're going to BRAZIL!!!"
Truly the darkest ending if any call of duty. Being taken to Brazil is a date worse than death
@@garibaldibritann1240 Yeah I got it, thanks
@@susfringgaming4018 Can confirm 👍
The most unbelievable part of the CoD Ghosts campaign is that all of South America unites under one banner and basically takes over the U.S.
South America: *endless squabbling and inter-fighting*
USA: *collapses anyway*
Man, I'm Brazilian and we can't unite not even a city. Not even a neighborhood. Sometimes people who live under the same roof don't speak with each other.
Not like the US spends all their money on their military force or anything
@@strikefg Or have other powerful allies across the world that could come to our aid if we were being invaded.
@@SquashyButton the usual Russia/china vs US and allies is more believable. Hell aliens vs the us is more believable than South America.
Ah yes, .44 magnum, well known for it's ability to go through a plate carrier, the man wearing it, the back plate, the front of another carrier, kill the second guy, go through his back plate, and punch through a window. Without killling the first man
What about the Globemasters dropping Abrams like if it was some fast and furious bit.
to be perfectly, 100% fair, rorke wasn't even wearing a plate carrier. he just had a load-bearing rig on and no armor.
that said, that makes the fact that he survives despite taking a .44 through the heart, likely going into shock, and straight up drowning several times worse
@@VimyGlide I think that in ghosts there are several bits where someone just straight up tanks bullets.
Even in the dialogue its mentioned.
@@KoishiVibin yeah when rorke kills the dad whose name i dont remember he shoots him like 15 fucking times in the chest and he just acts like he's been punched in the stomach it's so funny
V
They really doubled down on the swimming physics by including space segments that feel like you're underwater. Getting the most milage out of the fish
space fish would have cost the devs another 45 mil
To be fair astronauts train underwater.
To be fair the parts of the game where you don't have a weapon are so slow they feel like you're swimming
Rorke managing to survive a bullet and being trapped in a train underwater is just "THE DEAD SPEAKS"
What do you expect from the guy who won an oscar for writing Hesh?
@@PuddleStew Nah, he gets to win the Oscar Isaac award instead.
"Sigh... SOMEHOW, RORKE RETURNED..."
12 year old me knew it was bullshit. I've always had a high breaking point when it comes to bullshit. But damn that shit ticked it off when so many other things didn't
“Well I wasn’t on that train.” *smirks*
Best part about the finished game is that the fish *don't* swim away from you in the one mission they appear
I was in doubt but now i am certain Activision is pure evil
They do swim away
@@foxtrotsierraproductions8626 Yeah, like 25% of the time. Super Mario 64 from 1996 has better fish AI than this game, they swim away 100% of the time.
Exactly, but in Super Mario 64 from 1996, the fish actually swim away from you every time you're near them.
@@foxtrotsierraproductions8626 🧢
Have you ever seen such a technologically advanced AI in a game before?
Never.
F.I.S.H. has good AI
Yes in Mario 64
half life
The AI is so advanced that it realized it doesn't have to obey and work. Now that is something I can respect
I think I liked this small detail with the enemy being the closest to being “humanized” with how often they actually talk, act scared in some scenes, playing football. If there is ever a sequel I hope they play into that more. (though the whole setting kinda just. Eh. Insert foreign country here as invading country for some reason.)
I like your profile picture :)
it's almost a break from the "here's scary foreigners, shoot at them" thing that military shooter games love so much
Insert Not-Russia here
Oh no (insert bad guy country) is invading the US!!1!11!
@@mosterchife6045
isn't there one game where it was North Korea that invaded and occupied the entire USA, somehow
I got COD Ghosts as a Christmas gift when it came out. Never got past the second mission because the game kept crashing. Played against the bots with friends though, that was fun.
@Yesmine Khayati After watching Oboe's vid, the campaign and gameplay is pretty bleh. Not bad, but not good.
@@Jormyyy i liked the aesthetic and that's about it, still better than most cods after that one
@Bob H a vast majority of games in general are better than Vanguard
The multiplayer is actually a pretty nice time and the snipers felt better than most cods at the time imo, some of the maps were really cool too. The rest of it sucked though
@Bob H Bruh, that's a bar so low it doesn't require the effort of jumping to surpass it
Dog is based on a real Navy Seal dog that is probably in dog heaven now..... also compared to COD Vanguard this game is pretty good lol
A NEW DOG MODEL
Nah compared to ANY game it is better then vanguard
I loved Ghosts campaign and still would love a sequel to this day
Same
Agreed!
Needs a reboot and better writing, but there's potential
We might actually get a new ghost game after CoD 2024
I know it's just an opinion but I can't help but let you know that this is a bad one.
I remember back when they presented this as being cutting edge because of fish A.I. they got dunked on because Mario 64 had fishes that swam away from you first.
Exactly, and that game was a Nintendo 64 launch title from 1996.
Unpopular opinion, but Ghosts' multiplayer was a ton of fun, especially with the maps that'd change after WMDs would get dropped
Agreed
i miss it a lot
Most call of duties are good on some sort of level
except vanguard
@@Carnivora8
I mean...Polina Petrova rule34?
Extinction was pretty good too
This guy is so next level. You are a great comedian. You made a joke about the Wilhelm scream and then there was a Wilhelm scream the next scene over. Your attention to detail and continuity is insane. Please keep doing what you're doing!
Hello fellow Davis
Um wierd compliment but alright
At this point "next level" has lost all meaning
The Wilhelm Scream was edited in
“Next level” it’s good video but the man literally just added in a sound after he referenced it
“Fish AI is a first in gaming for Call of Duty Ghosts”
Mario 64 in 1996: Are you sure about that
They said a first in Call of Duty.
"If the hammer of dawn was shooting in my driveway I'd run a bit faster"
🤣
This is still unironically my favorite COD game
I actually always thought that Extinction was a ton of fun, especially when played with friends. I did have a problem with the insanely high teeth prices for some of the best upgrades you could get though.
Yeah one of the only things I didn’t like
I actually enjoyed extinction more than Bo2 zombies
Extinction mode was kind of cool.
Why is it that coop games aren't made to be fun anymore?
We've got stuff like Ready Or Not now.
AAA gaming overall sucks. See Crowbcat's video comparing Back 4 Blood to Left Dead 1&2. More people playing those 2 now than B4B lmao.
@@Gruntvc
Yeah obviously hyperbole for the second part, but you said what I meant anyways
Deep Rock Galactic would like a word with you.
@@Gruntvc That video singlehandedly got me playing L4D2 again and...it totally holds up.
Just go back and download a bunch of old games for pennies on the dollar during holiday sales. Timesplitters 2 and 3 even got HD releases on Xbox.
Arma 3: Hold my beer
The reason it costs $37.99 for a burger and fries combo(drink not included) at five guys is so the peanuts come free. I think they refer to it internaly as the peanut tax.
The five guys I went to didn't even have peanuts, I had no idea that it was a thing
i could go to mcdonalds and get a whole meal for £5 then go to the shop for some peanuts for like £1.50 lol so thats still a dumb price
fish have the BEST AI
I replayed the entire COD series to get all of the veteran achievements and I have to say that this game really isn’t as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Not to mention the massive cliffhanger it ends on.
Since its not very likely we ever get a sequel, I'd say the cliffhanger is the worst part of the game. But everything else is straight up fire
@@thechanglingprince1853 the worst part of the game is the tank level the Cliffhanger and the monorail finale is the best part of the game. Super unexpected.
@@_wanted_outlaw3007 it’s unexpected because it’s stupid as hell lol. No one dies in this game, everyone gets shot, shot and drowned and somehow they come back right away ready to act like normal. This campaign was absolute dog shit. I did like the federation day mission though.
Never follow hype. I learned the hard way.
10 years and STILL in a cliffhanger
There is nothing I love more than coming home from 3 12 hr shifts in a row to see a new Oboeshoe vid. The Fish AI is just a bonus. Thanks OBOE!
proud of you, keep working hard
As an argentinian guy, the way you say "aseso al teko" was just perfect.
I really love that my brother is a High Explsove Squash Head, it has a deeper meaning that few understand
The fucking Wilhelm scream though
New dog models, advanced fish AI, and realistic graphics that give us hairy manly arms lmao. Still, I'd rather play Ghost again than ever touch Vanguard or Cold War.
Infinity Ward definitely tried harder with Infinite Warfare's campaign. But, I wonder if a Ghost sequel could've been decent...
Bro infinite warfare is so underrated, like the campaign was amazing, the dialogue was such well written, everyone just judged it because of the multiplayer and "Oh it's space cod so it must be as bad as advanced warfare"
Cold War's problem was that is was too short and that it tried to be Modern Warfare even though Black Ops and Modern Warfare were always trying to go for different styles. BW being more fun and cool and MW being more tacticool.
@@strikefg iw multiplayer was pay2win but campaign is great
@@channel45853 CW mp for me is more fun than codmw2019
Ghost sequel would have been like the Far Cry New Dawn where the Main Character of the last game is the Bad Guy second in command or even better the game could have had us Play as the Federation hunting the Ghosts
The old Oboe Shoes review video sounds like it could be a young Mr. Plinkett
This game just actually pissed me off, like if you’re never gonna kill the main villain, stop putting him in harms way, it’s dumb as hell and frustrating every time he somehow survives despite impossible odds
I love how the sharks bum rush you when you shoot them, very realistic.
I loved the COD ghost lore. German shepherd Riley is fuckin LEGENDARY
This game's legacy is making the Honey Badger into the cool kid's gun.
I remember playing this game when i was a kid and was trying to find the same gun from the fish level in multiplayer, good times
Just realized I've probably never seen one single frame of Ghosts ever. This is all new to me great game 10/10.
I was frozen in the year 10.000 bc and just wake up, so this is my 10/10 game, first game i've ever played
The boss baby is the first movie so it's also a solid 10
I fucking loved every minute of the Ghosts campaign. They *NEED* to make a sequel.
The ending at the beach is like infinite until you look to the side. I thought it was a cutscene so I just sat there for like 2 minutes.
I am become fish, destroyer of worlds
Dammit five guys
Not enough dedicated RAM to have both the fish AI and tumbling baseballs.
I never got into CoD Ghosts because I didn't own it, and just played it a few times when some friends brought it, and recently when a friend invited me to play it on his PS3, the game is fun.
Also, back in middle school I had this one friend who was a big fan of CoD Ghosts, he played it religiously and basically had it as his favorite game of all time, sometimes when we ran out of things to talk he would tell me the whole story of the game's campaign, I always found it odd at first but then I just rolled with it.
Gamer subtitles
Glad to see you put the Call to Action i mentioned during the stream in the highlights video
Naw we not gonna ignore oboe shouting out the best cod ever 8:29
I actually find Ghosts to be the best CoD campaign-wise (maaaybe alongside CoD 1 and CoD2 Big Red One), it had less restrictive firefights, vehicle levels weren't on rails, it had self-contained story, and cool b movie like main antagonist. Aaand although it's multiplayer migth suck for online... it was the best for people who enjoyed playing with bots (also Advanced Warfare). Bots were from what I've heard reworked, and they are muuuch more human-like than in something like black ops.
Would have been more popular if the self contained story wasnt so bad, and if it didn't have so many MW3 reused assets
@@Fulcrox story was bit cringy, but first of all story was never strong element in cod games (at best cliche spec-ops plot, at worst horrible propaganda piece like new modern warfare), and second - it feels like b movie cringe is on purpose here, at least to a point
The Mr Plinkett "oooh" in your old review lol
5:53 it was really cool of the COD devs to put me in the game.
Glad to see your sense of humor hasn't changed over the years.
I fucking love all these videos man keep them coming
And beginning of modern warfare 1 when your dragged out the car.
Ah yes, my good friend high explosive squash head
High-explosive squash head is may favorite video game character.
I have become fish, the destroyer of franchises.
I love the fact that the bad guys are called the federation
they also spoke highly of the dog,the same dog that just disappears in the middle of the game
That 8 year old review is fucking hilarious. It’s almost insane how your humor is the same. Good on ya. Subscribed
He sounded Dead inside back before
I like how they tried something different for like the first time ever and failed miserably
I actually liked this game. Its better then some of the newer ones..
Yes, I love Hesh
High
Explosive
Squash
Head
You have to admit it that New Dog model is fucking insane
The jokes in this video are top tier
The only part that I really remember from this game is the space stuff. I feel like they should have focused on that more instead of it being a one off. Maybe that's just me actually really wanting a really grounded space combat shooter type game. Like something with the ambience of for all mankind and its space cold war stuff I would be really on board with.
Then play Infinite Warfare 😂
why would such a beautiful feature make you want to die mr obama shoe games
add “South America” to the list of things that have destroyed LA in fiction
7:32 in my head I imagined the Halo announcer guy saying "Fratricide".
The fish ai is almost on the same level as half-lifes cockroach ai
Hadn't thought about the ai fish meme in ages. What a throw back, I actually loved this game. Never did 1p stuff though, that shit is always bad
So, having finished the campaign after a few years, this is what I’m gonna say about it. At best, this game feels like a well made Modern Warfare 2 Mod. It’s fun, it has its moments, but overall is only ever “Ok”. I wish it stuck more with its trailer feel
The guy that made the fish AI is the only guy that nuts to fish porn on a regular basis.
In cod ghosts, Brazil comes to you
no need to go to brazil when brazil comes to you
8:09 "You like fighting the orange robot dogs in Halo 4? No? 𝓸𝓱."
This was my first cod game and I still love it
Waiting for Oboe to play the games before CoD4 I still remember laying CoD 2 on my dad's old Dell PC after elementary school
Oboe is too funny bruh 💀💀💀
Bro came 9 years too late for the party
the original splinter cell from 2004 had better thermal camera than COD ghosts
Splinter cell is my favorite game ever
Pardon!? I am fish! Only fish is Me!
San Diego Tsumanis? Might as well walk around with a Shoe Shiners ball cap.
In COD, you either come to brazil or brazil comes to you
“I prefer oxygen based environments” he said sitting in 80% nitrogen
4:43 idk why you chose this specific picture of five guys, but I used to work there. Like that exact one. When I saw the picture, every neuron in my brain fired off.
Fun fact about real-life space battles. Guns as we know wouldn't be used. Due to the kick of the gun. In space, you'd really only need to hit a guy once anywhere in the suit for him to die. Do you know what works wonders in space? Shotguns. I can easily see special low-powered shotguns with a widespread and even smaller pellet size being made for space. If you sling enough shit downrange, some of it is bound to hit.
Edit: I also love the idea that a hostile coalition is formed in the USA's backyard and the US does nothing till it's too late. Like how tf are these countries that are dependent on the US for imports gonna do anything? Let alone that the US won't just bomb the other nations into submission.
wouldn't the knockback of the shotgun blast you into outer space?
like, inside a space station it would do no harm
That happens every 12 years but then the pro USA candidates win the elections in a few countries and the whole coalition thing becomes kinda awkward
@@InsulindianPhasmid2214 That's why you would need a more low power type of gun. We might even see weapons that aren't even guns. Might be more like a spear gun. Just not a spear.
So far, the only used firearm in space was a Rikhter autocannon on Almaz station.
If you have any control over your movement (like a handhold, jetpack, or magnet boots) you can use it to compensate for your weapon's recoil. If you don't, you can't aim your gun anyway.
And I'm skeptical about shotguns, at least with extra-small pellets. Spacesuits have thick, tough outer layers to keep them from being pierced by space debris or sharp objects; small pellets might not get through.
That was dark with the dad thing
the crazy thing is that this game is almost 10 years old, there has been like 10 cods since this one
I can feel the rlm dripping from
The 8 years ago
8:29 i really liked Big Red 1 as a kid......
i believe its one of the best single player CODs ever made...........i still remember Brooklyn's death (he was from the Bronx)
.
i just wish BR1 was on the PC..... so it could of had better graphics (or modern mods that improve the graphics... AKA like STALKER mods)
and so it could have had mods to keep people interested like 2 decades later
.
idk.... big red 1 had many cool places..... many cool guns (name another FPS that lets you use Italian weapons?)
it was just a good COD game
.
and i never had internet for my PS2..... so i never played the multiplayer
but i played that single player (on easy) like 100 times as a kid.... and it never got old
fr BRO was the best world war 2 COD after COD 3
Hey, look, another Veteran! Big Red 1 for life!
Also, get an emulator and you can play BR1 on PC.
I want a Finest Hour Remaster!
That’s a nice CoD Ghost review right there.
I really enjoyed the light RPG mechanics in Extraction. I'd replay this game just to grind on there if people still played it
6:30 I like the subtitles
It also has "realistic smoke"...
3:53 your wish has beem granted
4:39 the Five Guys joke got me😂
COD Ghosts being a Simon Riley lore story was such a missed opportunity since everyone seems to have a favorite on Ghost
