As much as I love and respect Smokey and Top Secret gotta say JUN still takes the cake on insane gt86 builds the Synergy v8 swapped JUN gr86/brz has a bespoke synergy v8 with motorcycle cylinder heads and custom block it revs to 11,600rpm making something over 350hp it's about as close to an f1 engine you can buy that's direct plug and play drop in for the gt86 as you'll ever find and sounds marvelous as well as additional benefits such as lighter weight lower center of gravity moves weight balance 2% rearward and easier to maintain more accessible than a boxer
Also just so you know and for the record he wasn't often caught by bosses at trust/greddy working on his own projects he got caught once and thought he was going to get fired but the TOP management i fact encouraged him to continue and gave him access/ability/space to continue developing his own parts after hours under one condition he had to keep it a SECRET and after a year developing his own parts after hours at trust/greddy in SECRET for the TOP management he left to start his own shop and thus the name Top Secret carried over
My favorite aero kit on the 86 is actually the controversial OEM Aero Pack, only available in Asian, ANZ, European markets. I know you said you hated that wing in the past, but I reckon it’ll be sought after in the future, similar to the S chassis Aero Pack/Type X kits
Modelista for sure I got the rear spats because of your video I love the way they little groves match up with the stock body got my 86 late 2023 and loved the car ever since your videos def helped me get into the zn6 platform a lil more 🙏🏽
Best kit would be something mixed around with other kits for sure. 86 has so many options to play around with to really dial in your own style and taste!
Uras kit is my favourite, very unique and flows very well with the car considering the bell bottom style, futago is nice aswell but not a fan of the front bumper pretty much being a 13-16 bumper that was molded into a bell bottom kit

With both of my stock daily drivers (now '19 WRX & before' 04 GTI 1.8t)...I ALWAYS think/thought when driving (both cars), "...this sht is about to break...". You don't need a modified car to get that feeling. I guess it's a good thing I didn't get the Saab 9-3 Aero Sportcombi I really wanted...talk about worrying. 🏁
For wide-body kits on the 1st gen 86/BRZ, Varis is probably my favorite. For non-widebody kits, I think the Zele kit looks great on the GT86 but the STI kit suits the BRZ better. That said, I think a non-wide body BRZ benefits more from an appropriately sized front splitter and wing.
Lot's of good takes right here. I think I will have to agree on the Varis kit for widebody, I love the lines, it's super aggressive but everything flows so nicely.

Reliability isn't really about skill its about money. Its very easy to overbuild a car. If you wanna run 1000 HP reliable then build an engine for 1500-2000HP

the guy who tuned my 86 ( and many many others) always told me if you don't go over 280 engine horsepower, everything should stay solid
I have a turbo gr86 and it makes more than 280 and it’s holding up good aside from an annoying oil leak currently
