The kit is compelling, the review is thorough, but this man gave us a volume warning after the motor test. Bro, thank you.
😉👍
The best review of edelkrone by far. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the gear.
Appreciate your feedback! Thanks! 🤝
Another solid review, Tomas. Thank you for your hard work. I literally stopped filming the video and went to your channel to watch the this video because today I have really shaky hands and it's so freaking hard to get smooth pan and tilt shots with the Manfrotto N8 fluid head which is really nice and smooth but... if your hands are shaky, you can still get pissed haha!
Thanks for stopping in and commenting my friend 🤝
Awesome review man, really appericate your honest feedback 👍🏻
Thanks for watching and commenting 🤝
Thank you! Great review and not sponsored, finally. :-)
Thanks for stopping by and watching 🤝
Crazy awesome set up homie. I completely agree about building your bundle to make sure you get exactly what you need.
Appreciate'cha stopping in big homie 🤝
Great review man - and Hey all the love in the world for reminding me to lower the volume again :D
Thank you for watching 🤝
Epic and complete review as always.. this system is next level IMO.. maybe one day I will be able to pull the trigger on one..
Great work bro
Thanks for the comment my friend 👊
Thanks. This was very helpful. I was going to get the SliderOne. But when you demonstrated that it is possible to manually move the camera to record a position, I decided to get the Slider Plus, Head Plus, & slider module. This gear cost as much as my camera. I trust it will be worth it as I save loads of time doing product shots.
It is worth it. When you get it in make sure to watch their support videos on setup. It'll definitely pay off.
Great video.... that payload is ridiculous. Like how can it hold so much. That’s awesome
I'm really impressed by it. Thanks for the comment 🤝
This review was more than helpful..hella through n very much so appreciated bro!
Thanks for watching and for your feedback 🤝
Cool. Finding a non-sponsored honest review about edelkrone is tough
Thanks for the comment 🤝
@@TomasVillegas That said, I'm going for the new JibOne and HeadPlus. That feels like an extremely flexible setup based on what I've seen on YT
I ordered me the JibONE as well 😅
What tripod would you recommend with the Edelkrone Slider?
This one has worked really well for me. bhpho.to/2TVFmD6 (affiliate link)
9:30 a good alternative is to get something like the title nucleus nano to focus remotely manually, it's about 200$ and you can set focus points to make it easier to switch focus back and forth from one spot to another.
Glad I saw your video because I was going to buy the bundle and now I will save $700 for focus
Glad it helped save you some money.
I try to move the rail, but it stays very fixed. I'm afraid to pull harder,I have the impression that I force the belt and it will break....
sugestion ?
Please tell which tripod ur using
Thanks for the review. Would have been nice to see more actual footage that this slider can produce.
I struggled with adding footage to this video, because I really wanted to focus on technical side of the house. I appreciate your feedback, I probably should have added some sample footage.
Thanks for the review. After all this time, are you still happy? I'm sold. Just bought a gently used setup like yours for around $2500 on Ebay. Lookin' forward to getting it in.
Absolutely. My recommendation still stands, skip the focus and laser modules and save some money. 👍
nice one! Thank u for the video, i want to buy the jib
Now's the time. edelkrone has a lot of Black Friday deals 👍
SUPER AMAZING REVIEW. You answered all my questions! Thank you Tomas! I have ordered the Slider Plus Long, but now wondering whether I should switch to compact pro. If you have an opinion, please let me know.
Living TECH I did a comparison on those as well 😁
It's on my channel somewhere 👍
Nice review and happy not to have to sit through another "sponsored" review. I am fairly close to pulling the trigger on this, but I do wonder if it can be used at other angles apart from horizontal as I have never seen it used in this way in any review (and I have seen many)?
Regarding the focus module, the other disadvantage is that it can only be used on the slider and not taken off and used remotely so I would probably buy a Tilta wireless focus and use that with the Edelkrone.
You can do some minimal angled shots, just need a beefy tripod and enable the the power mode in the app. The slide module is not strong enough for vertical movements. True with the limited use of the Focus Module.
I saw that there is another slider to attach for vertical and angled shots
That grab and move function doesn’t seem like a big deal but it really is in my opinion. Have you tried the rhino ..if so how would you compare the two.
Keyser Reveal I owned a Rhino for many years and if I was buying a slider today I would pick this system over that.
I have an older slider plus pro 2018 version with the push button speed controls… Will I still be able to use this head plus with this older non-app motorized slider pro? Do I have to have the newer V2 motor to operate with the head plus unit?
How fast can this move compared to the Rhino? and is it as smooth?
Very well explained bro.😎💪 kindly check 14:32, when the machine stop, it bumps. And yeah hope they fix some minor problem on the apps.👌☝️
That's the end of the video 🤷♂️
@@TomasVillegas I think he means what happens from 12:50 to 13:04. It bumps when it reaches the end, is that an issue?
not sponsored. Description has 30 affiliate links.
What does that have to do with anything? Sorry the description isn't up to your level of integrity.
Have you used it for macro work? Specifically using a 100mm macro lens. I have the original Edelkrone target/action modules, which targets well, but suffers from micro jitters. I also have the SliderONE v2 with the HeadONE and it is also not usable for macro work due to the inferior targeting (it "pulses", causing the image to sway left/right/left/right slightly).
Perfect review!
Thanks for commenting and watching.
Awesome review. Are you able to add a ring belt to your lens (so it has bigger teeth) so that the focus module works with it?
You can add it. Just don't expect it to work well with non-cine lenses that don't have hard stops.
What happens if a person walks toward the camera? Will the laser target that will follow movements also keep the focus?
No the target has to be stationary.
Great review! I have rhino sliders and I had a terrible experience. I will try to trade in that ecosystem
I was in the same situation. This has been the best system for me and has worked great and still works phenomenally. 👍
Excellent! Thank you. Have you tried the turntable?
I haven't had a need for the turntable. Looks cool though.

Thanks for watching!
Hi, thanks for the review, are you still happy with your kit a year after ?
I’m still hesitating between, the Headplus and the pro model, I don’t need such a payload capacity but I wonder if the pro system will be more stable for macro shootings
I'm extremely satisfied with this setup and would still highly recommend it 👍
@@TomasVillegas Thanks for taking time replying !
Hello there ! Great and helpful video! Please can you show me how to mount a canon c200 to this beast? I would greatly appreciate it!
It's just a balancing act. You have to remove the side grip.
JibONE got me looking at Edelkrone reviews.
I wish they would've sent me one, but looks like I'll stick with being one of the few non-sponsored reviewers 😅
Same. I've literally been debating all day if I should take advantage of the cyber Monday deals or just wait til next year. Lol But that's a whole year of mediocre quality interviews that I have planned. I came on here to seek advice on the laser and focus modules. Now off I go to buy the amazing job one 😭
Tomas, another question if you could answer :d
Can you use all sort of npf batteries (5000+mAh ones) or only the 2600mAh that they sell?
Yes you can use any variety of NPF. More or less battery life depending on which you decide to use.
How fast does it go at it's fastest speed. The rhino slider is pretty fast. I'm on the fence between this one and that one. They both have pluses and minuses. This expandable slider doesn't seem like it would be sturdy and would topple over over time and break your camera.. Secondly the higher you mount it the more unstable it can be so how can you do high shots liek you can if youuse two tri pods with some of the other ones?....The Rhino slider has a face tracker which means it tracks a person as they move. Does the lazer in this one or that way or is it only for stationary?
I believe the Rhino is a lot faster. I don't know for sure, as I haven't used it. You can use two mounts on the edelkrone by mounting on each end of the slider, but you lose the doubling slide distance because it acts as is if it was on a tabletop. The laser module is for a stationary target that doesn't move.
I didn´t know that you can use target section without the laser module, I thought it was necessary. Can you confirm that?
The focus module is a thing for me because I have some cinema lenses, therefore, the laser module is really just a gimmick without any real benefits?
You can still use target mode without the laser. It has benefits if you have cine glass and the Focus module and shows a lot of value there in my opinion. It's a ton easier to set up and shoot quickly.
@@TomasVillegas thanks about your answer. Could you elaborate a bit more the advantages using it instead of not? Why it get´s a ton easier to set up and shoot quickly?
✌
👊
Hi Tomas,
Nice review! Saw you did an interview for the new Rhino Arc 2, have you compared it with Edelkrone?
What is the tripod that you used in this video?
I reached out to Rhino, but they're not interested in working with me, edelkrone had a sale and I needed a system so I jumped at the deal. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful in the caparison. I will say the edelkrone system has been flawless and I definitely recommend it.
Hi Tomas, good to know! Appreciate the quick feedback. Edelkrone looks like a great system.
What is the tripod that you would recommend for this setup?
I'm using a Manfrotto 055 aluminum version and it works great.
Hi Tomas, thank you! Good to know this. I have the Manfrotto 536 so this should work as well.
Merry Christmas and see you in 2020!
Can you use this for smooth vertical or angled slope motion ?
You can do some minimal angled shots, just need a beefy tripod and enable the the power mode in the app. The slide module is not strong enough for vertical movements.
Gerald Undone has a video that compares the Edelkrone to Rhino and pointed out a number of issues - specifically with the HeadOne unit - that would have had to be fixed with the latest release and firmware... given only 30 days to get your money back - it’s a BIG RISK for those who can even afford it!
(I have the Rhino and I am thinking of buying the JobONE but those “smart” heads from either company are a big leap of faith in hardware and software and $$$!!!)
George Rady not to discount Gerald, but his video seems to be overly critical of the edelkrone system. I've never had any of the issues he's had with the HeadPLUS. Also his argument that it takes too long to get shots is just plain wrong. Does it take some time? Of course it does. It's very complex equipment that produces awesome results in a short amount of time.
Niiice👊
I wonder why almost no reviews of this system on youtube have actual footage from the slider. I have heard and seen that the panning on this introduces stuttering and the video is pretty bad.
I haven’t had any issues.
The video you provided isn't the HeadPLUS and SliderPLUS Pro.
In other forums I've seen alot of talk about jitters, and app crashes. Did you experience this?
Nick Strong Occasional jitter, but nothing serious enough for me to have had mentioned in this review. I've only had the app crash on me when using Android. It's rock solid on iOS.
I bought the dual headone setup. I get jitters galore with this thing! NOT a smooth motion! I'm returning mine and "possibly" upgrading to Headplus. Any problems so far with your Headplus?
Interesting, that sounds like a balance or load issue. I haven't had any problems with this system. It's super great. You should contact their support.
@@TomasVillegas I HAVE! They told me it IS a problem with this HeadOne system. That it DOES show micro jitters (and sometimes huge jitters) and is not suitable for anything closeup!!!! Next I'm trying to reach out to "customer support" to return this useless purchase for a refund, but after two days and counting, NO ONE has contacted me!!!!!
@@FlashOnTwos So, did you end up getting with HeadPLUS? Also could you able to contact with customer support?
@@zahitemremetin606 I did get the head plus. It's much better, but it still has an issue. Specifically, when you program a pan and tilt, and once the head plus reaches the end of the tilt and changes direction, there is a jerk in the motion. It's not a smooth transition AT ALL. Fortunately for me, I have no intention on using it that way (just for pans back and forth during interviews). But still, it should never do that! The people at Edelkrone are extremely helpful though and always willing to satisfy my issues. I absolutely HATE having to deal with them by messaging, however they do call me if something comes up that requires a quick response. I'm grateful for that. I'm keeping the HeadPlus of course.
I really liked your video and would like to Thank you for the same. I have 99% decided to go with Edelkrone. Due to some negative review by some people i am afraid and confused. Some have even compared Edelkrone with Rhino Arc II. Some of them mentioned in the review that, The combo SliderONE & HeadONE are The kings of jitters !
Can please highlight on the same. Thank You
Glad it was helpful! 👍
