- Are the Edelkrone SliderPLUS and Motion KIT the best combination for 4-axis camera movement? Let’s find out! I’ll start out by discussing why you may want to use a camera slider and even a motorized camera slider. And you will quickly see why the Edelkrone SliderPLUS and Motion kit are an outstanding option.
We’ll then take a more detailed look at each module of the Edelkrone SliderPLUS and Motion Kit, including the Steady Module, Slide Module, Head Module and Focus Module. This Edelkrone slider is one of my favorite pieces of equipment and I really love the flexibility and creativity it offers.

What's up everyone?! I hope this review and demo f the Edelkrone SliderPLUS and Motion Kit is helpful. Did you like it? This was a new format so let me know: what did you like, and also, what did you not like? What would you like to see more of? Would love to know what you think, good or bad. I am grateful in advance 🙏 I really this system, it’s super user-friendly and extremely powerful in function. The FlexTILT Head 2 is an awesome accessory that I use all the time even when my camera is on a tripod. Ultimately I'm extremely happy with the type of shots I was able to get using this system and can't wait to see where I take it next. Let me know what you think!!
Hello! First off, an incredible review. I've spent more time looking for this review than I'd like to admit. Detailed, informative, everything I needed. I had a few questions I hope you can answer.
1. With the steady and/or slide module, is there a lot of noise when moving? I'm looking to do interviews with this setup over time and want to know how it would affect my audio concerns.
2. Is there a loop function on the app so the slider can keep going back and forth? I'm someone who enjoys talking to my interviewee as the camera films.
3. There is the new head plus coming out, what is the difference between the head and the head plus?
I hope to hear from you!
I thought it was the best one on the net actually. I just wonder though. On many of these videos there is alot of music playing in the background and that prevents from us listening to the motor on how loud it is over other companies..Sometimes the tilt is louder than the panning or track moves. How quiet is the motor over all and specifically as relates to all these areas?
I saw one review and demo where the track moves didn't look so smooth on a larger bulky camera that didn't exceed the weight limit so not sure if it was an older version or not. The guy was filming his dog in his living room.
I'm trying to make a decision here between the Rhino slider and Edelkrone. It's been pretty hard so far..I'm also looking at the speed. How fast does the Edelkrone go?
I use since 4 years the slider wit all the modules and recently I have to change the rubber and they give me for free it's very easy to use but be sure to have a good tripod I use for make videos of restaurants and property I know that it's expensive but save a lot of time !
*SIMPLY THE BEST SLIDER REVIEW ON UA-cam. YOU DWARFED ALL FAMOUS UA-cam REVIEWERS WITH YOUR AMAZING VIDEO. YOU ROCK!!!!.*
Oh wow. Thank you for the kind words!! 🙏🏻
but there aren't any famous youtubers reviewing this. and i gotta say, your video isn't bad by all means. but you could show a little more confidence in your face and the video could be a lot shorter.
Hands down the best review of this system
This has been one of the best reviews of a product I have looked at. Thank you very much!
Wow Alex... humbled.
I'm super glad it was helpful. Let me know if you have any questions.
This is awesome. I bought a Cinetics Lynx 3-Axis Motorized Slider on sale last year and I'm still trying to figure out how to use it. This one seems so much easier. Great video!!
Thank so much for the compliment. I haven’t heard of that one, going to check it out. This one really is easy to use.
Sliders are great, people tend to crap on them innfavor of gimbals, but the two tools are used in such different ways I can’t even compare them.
Gimbals for longer more dynamic shots, sliders for highly precise controlled movements.
Great review mate!
Mark Holtze thanks Mark! Couldn’t agree with you more. Different tools for different tasks. I can’t wait to get the upgraded headPLUS for this slider.
Thanks for watching!
Agree, I love sliders and I love gimbal, right now really into my ashanks s2 slider, I find I can be far more methodical and get things right with the slider
Dude you knocked this review out of the park. I want this slider big time💯
Thanks! It was a little long, but there was a lot to cover 👊
Dude love the shots in this video. This system really is quite impressive. I can’t believe the versatility of such a small rig. Would love to see more car shots. That footage was smooth and detailed.
Thanks Ed! I got something coming up that incorporates a lot more of the car 😉
Tech Gear Talk awesome can’t wait for that.
WOW! Though this was almost 30mins, I was hooked. This is a beast I hope to aspire get in the future.
This thing can do so much. I'm also super excited about the new headPLUS module.
Sagi, once again, you reveal thrilling ideas! Thanks so much.
Glad you liked it Glen!
Great overview of the Edelkrone system and OH MY GOD... I don't have a lot of experience with sliders, but I have used the Rhino Arc+Motion and this looks 1000x easier to set up and is more compact to boot. You sold me!
Thanks, glad it was helpful. If used both systems and this one is more versatile for sure
I like your review very much, very straightforward and easy to understand. Thank you so much !
So glad it was helpful Sarina! Thank you for being part of the channel!
This out is friggin dope! Awesome video bro!
Thanks so much Jeff!! Appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave feedback.
Really well done. Thanks for the review and the discussion of the various uses and considerations. Very helpful.
Thank you so much for watching Bob - glad it was helpful.
Amazing tutorial! Thumbs up! Gosh, i wish I could afford this stuff. It's just too expensive for me :(
Thank you for the kind words! It's not cheap...
Great Work man (sorry I didn’t find your name)! You explain very clear with an excellent build up of the story and demonstration right to the point and you have good voice and way of speaking that is helpful for learning. I subscribed.
Appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback and the Sub!
Video idea. Top ten list of video/photo cameras. Ranging in price. Awesome video thanks. Review on the surface one would be great
Thanks for watching and for all the ideas!!!
Thank you for your very informative video, I had used the search function of youtube for sliderplus and your video was the first match. I have to congratulate you on your channel. I immediately subscribed. You speak very clearly and not too quickly. (do not change this) As for the slider; I will probably opt for the edelkrone versus the cinevate. The edelkrone ecosystem is very extensive, but you quickly end up with a few thousand dollars. I would use it for detail shots in real estate videos. I am putting together my kit and have to turn every cent.
Thank you so much for the kind comment. Sorry for the delay. UA-cam just changed how comments are handled so I can see ones I haven't responded to! Did you end up going with anything new?

I hope to hear from you!
Hi Timothy, thanks for watching. I’m away but I’ll do my best to respond and then give you a more in depth answer when I’m back.
1. Steady module is 100% silent. Slide module is very low sound. The head module if you pan and tilt gets a little noisy. My mic isn’t usually close enough to pick any of this up because it’s off camera.
2. I’m almost certain there is. But I don’t have the slider w me.
3. New head module is much more powerful! Smoother, can handle more weight, has its own power source and some powerful new tracking capabilities.
I’ll have a new video coming soon!
Hope this helps for now!
@@TechGearTalk thank you much for the reply. It means a lot. I'm excited to see the new review and see how much noise the new one has. Keep up the awesome videos!
You are very welcome. I'll start working on it as soon as I get it!
@@TechGearTalk Awesome to hear. I hope at one point in time you can do a comparison video between the rhino Evo slider and the Edelkrone head plus. Truly one of my biggest debates for purchases and there is next to no content between the two.
That would be a great video. I'll work on it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Awesome review! Very informative. Thanks for taking the time and keep it up!
Thanks so much for watching and leaving feedback Andrew.
Great video man, I definitely need a slider upgrade! 😉
Thank you so much, appreciate the positive feedback. What are you using now?
Well done we want this system for auto interior shots etc. Looking to buy one next week . Will get back to you with performance reports
Thank you - and curious to know what you think
Ours arrived this week. We got the top drawer kit with focus and laser target tracking. Our plans are to mount this unit inside new cars and track across dash and display's also thru the seats from front to back. Maybe even side thru windows hands free.We have extensive aluminum 1"& 1.5" speed rail systems that will suspend the entire rig. I'm impressed with the build and operations of the App. Cant wait for our crew to start setting up shots.
Appreciate you circling back Mark 🙏
Great review - You’ve just saved me a lot of work getting set up with my new Edelkrone products! What do you recommend as a tripod for the Slider Plus?
Glad this was helpful Alex! As far as a tripod, any strong tripod would work. You want to make sure that there is no flex. If possible, get one with a 75mm bowl so you can mount it directly to the tripod with no fluid head. Does that make sense?
Yes - Adding the bowl makes a lot of sense. Thank you!
Glad I could help! 👍 Thanks for joining the channel!
Loved your video! Will (or has) Edelkrone integrated zoom control with focusing?
Thanks Walter! They have not done that to my knowledge. But you can put the focus wheel on the zoom ring :D
great informative review! question...when you are sitting in the couch then go to the lamp and then the glass of water and back to the couch...i see a lot of jitter and camera shake at the start and stop of those moves. this is the first time I've seen those jitters as the Edelkrone samples do not have this issue. is this an oversight on your part in not knowing completely how to get it smooth is this inherent with this system although i haven't seen this issue with other samples. thanks!!
I did no stabilization for those shots so it’s straight out of the camera. It’s possible that this head needed a further firmware update. Regardless, the new head can handle much heavier setups. I’m still waiting for mine.
Thanks for the feedback!
Liked this video just for that intro! 🙌🙌
Well, as long as you enjoyed it :)
@@TechGearTalk Ha ha yep it was cool.
Serious question though, am configuring my bundle from edelkrone now, and am just realizing the motorized slider doesnt support inclined or vertical shots. Disappointing. they got some amazing tech, you'd think at least inclined shots would be no prob. My current camera setup is only 3-4 lbs. In your real world experience, would I be able to get at least a slight incline on the setup?
I wouldn't count on it. since the whole slider "shifts" I don't know what will happen with even a slight incline. And as you know, even a tiny bit of drag is going to ruin the shot.
@@TechGearTalk Bummer. But thank you for the response!
This is just my opinion of course, but if I had to bet on it, that is what I would say. I just don't want you to waste money.
Thank you so much for doing this very well detailed review. I have been looking at various versions of this system for some time now, and your video is a great help. Edelkrone really seems to be stepping up with their gear, apps, web site, etc. Any idea how their customer service is? Any issues with being able to contact them for support, etc. Thanks again. Well done.
You’re very welcome. I’m really glad this video was helpful.
I’ve had one experience with customer service and it was was resolved quickly. There was an issue with the head unit I received and they had me send it in and corrected the problem very quickly.
I know things can go wrong and I super appreciate a company that provides such good service.
What camera are you using?
I have a 5DMKIV, and a 6D. I also have a verivon slider I've used several times, but it's all manual. Hard to be real smooth and consistent if you don't use it all the time. @@TechGearTalk
Nice! I’m going to check out the slider you have.
This is great. Thanks for sharing. I have a Rhino slider and their ARC system. It's been good. But I am really leaning toward getting the edelkrone now for the short slider that is actually extended on a tripod. Plus the tilt and focus module. Have you compared other systems? Is edelkrone your favorite?
Thank you!
I have compared other systems (including Rhino). I have not had a chance to use the new Edelkrone HeadPLUS module either, which looks interesting.
There are pros and cons to the "extended" design. What camera are you planning on using?
@@TechGearTalk I would be using mostly the Canon c200. But using the focus module I would also use the new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4k.
Ok. So the new module should be able to support the C200 with no problem. One of the things I noticed is that with a longer slider with the C100MKII and only one point of attachment, there would sometimes be some sag when the camera being far away from the tripod.
That is because there is a ton of torque on the the contact point.
@@TechGearTalk Hmmm. That's a good point. I worried about the weight once the camera was so far from the center point of the tripod.
Which length were you going to go with?
Thanks for the tutorial. One question though, how noisy the motors are? It was mentioned in other videos that there is a substantial noise coming out of them that could be picked up from onboard camera mics which is no surprise. In interviews, the talent has to be minimum 3 feet away from the set up in order the mic on the talent not to record noise. Have done some test on this matter? Thanks.
Hi Victor. I mostly use it for product shots, but I see what you're saying. It would need to be a few feet away.
Really informative and engaging. Thanks.
Thanks so much for watching and the feedback!
Great review. I have one question that I did not see the answer to. How do you level the cam for sliding up and down inclines? Is there a heavy tilt plat you can mount between the head and the slider or is it just not possible with this setup? Thank you!
Thanks David, appreciate the kind words. I have not been able to do incline slides.
@@TechGearTalk Thanks for the quick reply. I've been going back and forth between the edelkrone and the Kessler crane Second Shooter Plus 3-Axis Bundle w/ Stealth Slider kit. The kessler does not have all the bells and whistles but, I think i can buy a tilt plate to mount under the pan/tilt head for doing inclines. It's taken me days of research to narrow it down to these options. Thanks again.
You're very welcome. I've used the Kessler cineslider with second shooter. That thing is solid! I've done everything but drive over it and it works great. There is no slick app, but the performance is stellar.
Is the follow focus one that you can use seperately from the rest of the system? For example. What if I wanted to use the follow focus on my DJI Ronin. Would I be able to do that?
No, you would not be able to do that because it’s controlled by the head.
Looks incredible. If I just need motion control panning not tilt for interviews without focus control what do I need? Thanks!
You would only need the slider, slide module and one of the HeadONE (edel.kr/1r)
I hope that helps.
Helps a lot - thanks! I was thinking of getting a Rhino system but this seems easy to operate and slightly less expensive.
@@kipling1957 hey kipling. I have the Rhino slider with their ARC system. I have like it a lot. However, the edelkrone seems to have more optional features. I am going to purchase it.
How in total all those gadgets without the camera bro? The exact set up how much?
Hi there. Please follow the links in the description and look at current pricing.
Nice review. Do you already have experience with the HeadPlus?
Thank you very much for the feedback. I’ll be publishing that “update” review very shortly. You won’t be disappointed (with the HeadPLUS at least 😂🤣)
I receive my HeadPLUS on Monday or Tuesday. I am very excited about what has been improved. I know all the Head Module generations of EK so far.
I am very much looking forward to your impression.
Nice!!!! Congrats!
I love the way he camera is supported with the PLUS and the heavier payload capability is great since I’m using cinema cameras.
Edelkrone seems to be super aligned with user needs and are constantly innovating. There have been several times where I found a product that has solved a problem I had already come to accept as fact.
Would be interested in hearing what you think about it as well, so swing by and let me know if you have a chance.
@@perplexer731 hey I'm interested in the head plus can you share your experience? $4000 is a lot of money for a piece of equipment to be a let down in anyway
@@simplyintricatedesignsllc6475 My experiences with the headplus are very good so far.
Especially the backlash free gear is insane.
ek has continued to develop the Headplus. Also the support is great.
I use the bmpcc4k.
That's why I ordered the L-bracket and the V-mount from the Headplus Pro. Is everything compatible.
Depending on the camera, you might want to take the HeadPlus Pro right away.
Also important is a very stable tripod.
You can give me a PN, then we can continue to discuss, if you want.
I came here for that Porsche, I admit :) stayed for the great review, but was repelled by that pricetag (no, not of the Porsche, of that slider ;)
Ha, whatever go you there. I have something fun coming up with the car later on. The price is relative I guess to the ROI. Most of these systems are at this range, or even higher.
I like the combination of great user experience and functionality. I agree that it's definitely an investment though.
Price on the Porsche....cough, cough, cough
How does the timelapse feature work for day to night timelapse? It have smart controls to adjust camera settings to support that?
Great question. Not that I know of. I've never used it for ramping.
nice video and very helpful
Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it and that it was helpful.
Great review, how do you keep it from tilting on a tripod especially built up with the extras, mine always tilts a tiny bit
Thanks Shawn! Do you have those feet that stick out?
The feet on the slider? Then the slider wouldn’t extend ? I have a perception and a rhino slider thinking of upgrading to your system, but the slight tilt is killing me
I'm sorry, I misread what you wrote (you said "on a tripod"). The issue you are running into, is the whole tripod tilting over? or is it just a slight dip (because of the weight)
Slight dip because of the weight
That will happen with this slider too if the rig is heavy. The advantage of a "fixed" slider is that you can mount it on both sides and then you have no dip. I did that with my Duzi 4 (of course it's not motorized, but still).
I've never seen the Perception, going to check it out. How do you like it?
oeh i know where you got that song from^^ called future bass^^
Is it possible to use the slider on a tripod and make a little up or down movement with the camera?? This movement would be very importanr for timelapse. Can't find footage where the slider isn't completely horizontal...
In my experience, even a slight incline created jerky movement.
@@TechGearTalk Thanks for the answer! That sounds not good to me. Maybe I buy the iFootage Shark Slider Mini.
That could be an option. I haven't used that one with a tilt - can it handle it?
C'est super cette camera
Thank you for watching!
I'd like to see how it performs in vertical movement, not straight up, but say, the camera ascending at a 30 to 45 degree angle.
Hi Joe. With the payload I use, it can't handle anything close to that type of tilt. Even 10% causes problems.
@@TechGearTalk Thank you. I was wondering if it could handle it or not. I was afraid it couldn't and it's nice to have confirmation of that. I like the way this set up works, seems a lot easier than other systems, but what I want is one that can do vertical or semi vertical. Dynamic Perception systems can do that. They are just not as easy to set up as these. Too bad you can't take the best of each and put them together and make it work!
Go to the Edelkrone website though, they have a new motor and head now that might be able to do that.
@@TechGearTalk I've looked all over their site and couldn't find any information indicating that it would be able to do that. I watched all the videos on their site, or at least 90 percent of them over the last couple of days. I'll keep checking though.
I wasn't sure if the new head design would help or hurt.
How about jitters? So many of these motion control sliders suffer from micro Jitters or even macro jitters what about this one? Also any other negatives or downsides you've experienced? Thanks
I did experience some of those here and there. Edelkrone released a new head which handles more weight and implements a new design. The biggest strength is the app, it's so easy to use.
@@TechGearTalk thanks for the reply. Do you have the new head? And if so does it fix all the Jitters and make it smoother? Thanks. I know the one you were referring to it's called the headplus correct?
Yes, that is the name and no, unfortunately I don't have it. I'll update this if that happens.
@26:14 looks like someone bumped the camera. Did someone bump the camera, or is this what happens during target changes?
I just went and watched it. Definitely looks jerky.
It might be that I used a setup that was too heavy for the motor, and that was a particularly fast move.
I’m interested in seeing the new HeadPLUS.
Tech Gear Talk that’s what I was thinking - just wanted to confirm if you knew otherwise. And it WAS glaringly obvious to me since your work is always so polished! Well, actually, it still doesn’t detract a bit from your production. Top notch as always. But it certainly is something that a potential Edelkrone consumer will notice. Cheers, my friend.
Yeah. This is also using their old Head Module. I’m excited to see what the HeadPLUS can do
Nice product
Yeah, I’m super impressed by it.
watching your video, I noticed the jerkiness in the transition. Have you noticed it as well? Been considering the purchase of the system but that jerkiness... is it real?
Yes, I was getting that experience too. This is the old head though so it’s possible the new one works better
is there a tracking motion with this device? the same with dji active tracking
I didn't see anything like that.
Is this compatible with the bmpcc4k? If so what shutter cable do I need? I did not see blackmagic on the website.
I don't believe so but you'll have to check with Edelkrone. The BMPCC4K doesn't really take stills, so I don't think they would make a cable for it.
@@TechGearTalk got it. So the shutter cable is for stills. Seems like an odd feature for a moving device. What am I not getting here. What is the shutter cable for? Sorry. I'm new.
Oh time lapse is done frame by frame right?
Yes, that is correct. So that the app can trigger the shutter for you when you're doing a timelapse with movement.
Will do. Thanks again.
Looking forward to it.
@@TechGearTalk Just did it. I guess that's my Christmas gift to myself! Ordered the Slide Module v2, HeadPLUS PRo, FocusONE and the SliderPLUS PRO and the Canon battery adapter. It will be fun to get it. Do you think I am missing anything?
WOW!!!!! Congrats. Do you need any additional lens adapters?
@@TechGearTalk You mean to pull focus?

Tech Gear Talk hey, no problem. I’m thinking of buying some of their gear and have been looking online for videos that explains what each of their products do and i came across your video and found it very useful.
Your video; as of now has helped me make a firm decision on what products I need to buy and which ones will be useful to what I do.
I do have a UA-cam channel but I have uploaded much, but I am very active on Instagram.
If and when you do have the time, please have a look at my work, if not that’s cool too.

Most importantly, thank you a million times for making this video. 🙂
I checked out some of your IG posts - good work!
Tech Gear Talk Thank you 😊
You're very welcome 👊
This is the slider plus or slider plus PRO????
Slider Plus.
90% of the videos that i see about this product, are ultra-positive about it. 99% of the comments that i read here on youtube from people owning it are negative and complaining... people says that the apps doesn t work, that the motion with the heas is not smooth, and that it is noisy. this puzzle me a little... how came i found only 1 video talking about these problems (compared to many of people not mentioning a single trouble, only ultra happy users) and tons of complains? I would like to see a real honest review, not marketing stuffs.
I don’t personally know anyone else who has one, so I can only speak to my experience. The head unit I originally got had extra “play” in it. It was cause a quick “jerk” at the beginning of the movement.
I sent it back for repair and the one I now have works great.
I wonder if people go through the entire setup, calibration, balancing process or just throw a camera on it. Like I said, I don’t know anyone else in real life and I don’t like to speak about anyone else’s experience without seeing it.
I tried to do my best to show actual footage and operation.
I super appreciate your critical approach though. It’s definitely an investment and you need to make sure it delivers.
Can you also give any feedback on the sound issue? Could you use this during an interview set up, or is it too loud (I've seen other video demos where it comes across as extremely noisy)
Hi Justin. The head module is a bit more noisy than I would like. Now, in real life, I never have a mic on the slider, it's either a shotgun mic on a boom or a lav mic so it's never really been an issue for me. It also depends on whether you're doing a pan and tilt or not and how fast that move is. At the speeds I use it, it's fine.
The new headPLUS is supposed to be quieter, but I haven't gotten mine yet. The new unit is stronger and that may mean the motor doesn't need to work as hard to move the camera. The other thing is I'm using a cinema camera rather than a DSLR or mirrorless (which are a lot lighter) so with a smaller camera you may get less noise. Here is a link: edel.kr/1r
What are you shooting with?
Thanks for getting back so quickly. So I want to use with both my Sony FS7 (I realise it will have to be stripped down) or my A7Sii depending on the situation. Is it quieter if you just use the slide module and not the head?
One of my main use for this will be for interviews, so the noise thing is a big deal for me. I'm also look a the Rhino, which seems extremely silent, but not as versatile (it can't do a lot of what this can).
So if you were to buy it now, the only option is the new HeadPLUS module which can handle a lot more weight. Yes, it's super quiet if you're just sliding.
One of the questions when comparing to the Rhino is how much control do you need. With the Arc and Motion control, you can do basic start/stop and pan, but no tilt. (I have both). The Rhino also gets kinda loud at certain speeds which is strange because it sometimes going faster makes it more quiet. Regardless, neither have been "so loud" that my mic has picked up the noise.
Like you said, this one gives you a lot more versatility and you can use the app instead of the Rhino controller. I love the fact that you can just point the Edelkrone. There is something super organic about that.
You can do a lot more, set up targets, you can do tracking, easily convert everything to timelapse (and of course the tilt is critical for certain shots).
It comes down to what features do you need (vs want). I don't like buying something just because it can do all these things I don't need. However, I also like to future-proof my purchase so I don't have to get both...
Sorry for the long response, hope it's helpful.
The problem is edelkrone will release a better version next year. I bet the next version will have live tracking of people. Then the next version will add 6 axis movement to mimic the movement of a skilled camera man to add organic movement to your storytelling. 😀 I have the original kit.
Ha, so true. They have already released a better version...
What! No exposure control? ;) Edelkrone makes some really ni$e gear. I just ordered the SliderOne. Can't wait to make some nice motion.
Lol, I know right?!
Did you order just the slider?
@@TechGearTalk Yes, just ordered a couple days ago from Edelkrone because they have the V2 gear. 4 weeks wait though . . .
That’s the hard part... the wait.
Congrats!!
@@TechGearTalk That's what Tom Petty used to say . . . thanks!
LOL, nice!
No new headplus video yet?
I still haven't gotten it. I'm testing some new motion control systems now though ;)
@@TechGearTalk witch ones? :o I'm almost ditching the moco trend and waiting more months to see if new developments are made, it seems that almost all companies have issues for devices that still have slow R&D and therefore are expensive. Maybe in some months/years this will mature.
I'm looking forward for the gudsen X slider solution they had teased.
I'm not allowed to talk about them yet (sorry...) but they are good! The Air X looks really impressive. It would be interesting to see how it works in real life ;)
Can u review on iPhone X’s & iPhone X r iPhone X’s max unboxing & frist impersonation tell all bro
I’ve got an Xs and Watch 4 coming. Then I’ll do the Xr. Which iPhone do you like best
V2 or this one?
What size slider is that?
Hi Tim. That was the XL
Sweet. Is that as big as the SliderPlus Pro Large? Edelkrone’s naming system is confusing! Thanks.
I’m now really sure. I don’t know why they don’t use ummmmm... numbers. Pick either actual size or “travel” size and go.
How impartial can reviews with affiliated purchase links be?
In my opinion, affiliate links have nothing to do with the review. I'm simply telling you what I think of the product from the perspective resembling what I go through when I shop. Ultimately, you decide whether you "trust" anyone's video based on your intuition. I completely get what you're saying though. I try not to focus on sales but on features, functionality and user experience. That is what matters to me when I'm shopping. Super appreciate you leaving feedback.
one downsize... this things price gives me a slight heart attack hahaha
It’s definitely an investment. But it gets some really cool shots.
@@TechGearTalk true that!! maybe someday xD
Just swing by
Its a very awesome slider. But dang. When it makes these small vibrations, it sucks. :/ Like; 26:03 & 24:50
Can't argue with that. My guess is that this is why they went with a new design for the head.
@@TechGearTalk I really hope they will fix these vibrations, because it will become un-usable for high-end interviews.
Absolutely. I is unusable with those
Hey Man nice to see this great video from you awsome piece of gear. Nice shots. (connect with me on Linkedin, ive shared you video there over more then 200 creators in my network)
Thanks so much! Connected with you on LinkedIn too.
Following you also. Shared your video it did not the first time i see did it again.
appreciate the support!
👍
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
coool
It’s a pretty neat product
26:14
it lags !!
You mean when you look at the timing of the click vs movement?
I watched all the video, it's really great product, but why am using the motorized motion instead of my hands, just to avoid this lag (the movement not smooth enough from point to point)
Maybe the motor's torque is not strong enough to avoid this lag, so I'm not satisfied with the performance
I hope you get me
Anyway, go ahead bro, you are amazing
Good luck
Yes, I get exactly what you're saying. If the motion is not smooth enough, there is no reason to use it.
Thank you for the kind words 🙏
Is me or some of the movements look abrupt and and shaky...
It’s not you. I think there was something loose on this unit. There is a newer head plus design now which seems more robust
Your intro hurts my eyes...
Ha!
Was the rest of the video ok?
@@TechGearTalk Yea man! Honestly, best review of this out there. Nobody has gone as in depth as you have. I think one of the best things to do is show lots of example footage shot with the product and you've done that well. But yes, its not a big deal but I can't watch your intro. You may want to be careful for epileptic viewers.
That's good feedback.
Good point about showing more footage, I should have done that (I plan on doing a follow up video so I'll incorporate that).
Thank you so much for taking the time to respond.
@@TechGearTalk I figured you weren't happy with my first comment so I felt like i had to make up for it. I look foward to seeing what youve done with the product!
For me, I appreciate positive and negative comments. Positive comments are reinforcement that people are getting what they want, and they provide encouragement. Negative comments, as long as they are respectful, are excellent opportunities for me to get insight into what people are looking for, what my video was missing for them.
Can't believe that a company which designs camera control systems designed a pan head with parallax... It has to be centered... Edelkrone - pathetic.
I think that’s one of the reasons they went with the new design
Is there another design than this? This has loads of parallax right?
You’re going to get parallax with a slide and pan no matter what, that’s the goal.
However, over here, you’re also shifting the 3rd plane which I don’t love.
Yes, there is a new design called HeadPLUS.
@@TechGearTalk i know that's what we want, just don't want it on pan and tilt axes, they should be centered! Yeah headplus looks perfect!
Agreed. The current design was interesting for some applications, but like you said, centered is better.
