Yes, DE does work. I do my own microscopic egg counts and my horse is always worm free.

Diatomaceous Earth is a great way to deworm, and is also used to get rid of fleas and ticks on your animals. Some people use it on bug eaten plants in the garden, but then it can also kill bees. Great video Becky. Thank you.
I wish I had watched your video before adding the DE to my chicken feed yesterday! My rooster attacked me for the first time today to let me know how unhappy he and the ladies were with my DE addition to their feed! I felt so bad but knew right away what he was mad about. I ended up mixing some plain feed in with the DE'd stuff and I'm hoping they get used to it but I'll definitely go much lighter going forward. I didn't realize how sensitive they were to the change!

Yes, food grade for animals and people; just like it states in the bag she showed in her video. If not food grade it may be filled with chemicals that are harmful. Thank you for the reminder. About a third of the videos I've watched they forget to specify food grade. Again thank you.

You could get a writer and get all your info out. Beckys Homestead is very good and would sell all over the world, I think. Your info is important and you are just spot on with your tips for health and living morgage free. So many can benefit cuz you give step by step instruction. I just received mine from Amazon today I know mine already have tape worms so I'm gonna put 1/2 cup in my cats & dog food I think they both have about 20lbs of food right now each I'll mix it in good 👍 I pray this works for them 🙏♥️🙏
I had no idea humans and animals could consume DE. What a surprise to me. I use it for slugs in the garden. I started watching you way back WHEN YOU WERE BUILDING YOUR CABIN. I have been prepping too. My health isn't what is was and I still dream of being off grid. I am as far as a small solar unit :) to keep my scooter going in case of elec outage here in Sarasota. Thanks Becky this so useful. I recently wormed my horses using a syrnge, one immediately dropped with colic which was a horrid experience. They hate the syringe wormer and I always feel mean giving it them. After watching your video I have put them on DE, they are enjoying their food. I will get a worm can't done before they go back out to their summer pasture just to make sure they don't have them but I think this will crack it. I also put my goates on it too and will give it my dogs aswell in time xxx

Great info, thank you. Yes horses need lots of water to drink when eating grains, specially pelleted feeds. Same with hay. Grasses have moisture in them, but anything fed dry make sure horses have lots of fresh water. Always feed DE wet to any animal. Breathing it in isn't good for anyone. For our bunnies we put tiny amounts of DE on wet pieces of fruit, like apples or bananas and make sure they eat them right away. For chickens they love scraps of greens and veggies. Gone before it hits the ground. Thanks again Becky. Less poisons are better for all. Blessings

I wish I had seen your video previously as I had two litters of puppies I dewormed the times prior to them getting rehomed; plus I not know it's good for getting rid of fleas. Unfortunately, two puppies died because of an adverse reaction. However, I have nine dogs and two cats that will be getting this from now on. And I like that you explain amounts to use for a variety of animals; I plan to get some chicken and ducks, too. Thank you for taking your time to share this information. Shalom.

I actually got de to help get rid of an annoying sugar ant problem inside my dad's home. I honestly get sick from raid.. De is amazing and safe
I also use it for fleas. I sprinkle it on a wash cloth for kittens and rub them down. (I tend to end up with abandoned rescue kittens. One I still hVe from last year was thrown off a bridge and survived. He's blind in one eye and terrified of everyone but me

Thank you for the videos. You are inspiring. I had fleas in the house last year from one of my cats who snuck out overnight, normally only inside cuz I'm in the city. So now I have to treat everyone for tapeworms. Will this be effective against tapeworms also?
I tried the traditional dewormer pills but couldn't get a few to eat the pill, even crushed up in tuna. Smart lil brats. I'm going to get some of this and mix in the dry food container that they all eat from.

Hi Becky, Found your video very helpful, thanks! Wondered if you could tell me what other goodies are in your horse/donkey grain mixture? Looked like sunflower seeds? What else is in your mixture? My horses would love that, it looked super yummy!
DE food grade can be ingested by humans as well.. I use it to deter insects from entering into the house.. Microscopically, DE is flat sharp flakes that can hurt the insect crawling over it...but is harmless to us.

Just ordered my first chickens today. 3 buff Orpingtons 3 australorps and 3 welsummers.
I have one of each of those (and others). I love them all. My Buff Orpington is my fav. She jumps into my lap. She is so sweet. I love the light coloring too. I usually pick her up at least once each week to check under all those feathers to see if she has any mites. lice or fleas. She is a light color, so if she had any, it would likely be easy to see and that would tell me other hens might have the same problem.... So far all my hens are healthy and no parasites. Keep watching these videos and you will learn a bunch !! Electrolyte powder packets (which are inexpensive at Tractor Supply and other places ) to add to their water once in a while in very hot weather helps. It is like gatorade for chickens. We add it to a gallon pale of water for them once a week. We only leave it out in the shade for 24-30 hours then discard it. I back off the Apple Cider Vinegar in their water in the really hot hot weather. My hens Love meal worms. And since we never finish a whole watermelon by ourselves but it is more economical to buy a whole one, we refrigerate it for a bit, cut it in half and the hens will demolish their half in no time at all.
Thank you for the video. I am brand new with chickens and wanted to use this for them. I was told that Diatomaceous Earth can give them respiratory issues from this products. I wanted to use it to prevent them from getting mites and lice. Your feedback would be appreciated.

Yours was the first videos I came across regarding naturally deworming cats using food grade diatomaceous earth. I ended up spending a day or so researching it and ordered some online. Today marks Day 4 of putting it in my cats' wet food in an attempt to deworm them. I was very apprehensive about trying it. I work at a Veterinary hospital and was very worried that it would hurt my cats, but so far, so good. I'm praying it works. The deworming injections are pricey and it's not easy trying to catch 2 outdoor cats for vet visits. The deworming shots are a 2-week series where they do one injection then return 2 weeks later for a 2nd injection. The thing is, they're full of harsh chemicals and don't prevent worms from coming back. This year has been very bad for fleas, spiders, mosquitos, etc. So I have the food grade for the cats and the non-food grade for the house and yard. The ants want nothing to do with the stuff, so that's a good sign! Thank you for the videos.

I use ACV in my chicken ter every day for one week a month is that as good as the DE. Does it make their eggs taste different. Should I spread it in their nest boxes and coop
