After all the "BS" non videos that didn't cover crap, I decided to disassemble the entire lower end. It took me about four hours. The head is "Pressed " on to the motor shaft, and it is on there tight. You will need a torx 20 bit. A small drive punch and a small hammer. There are no spring loaded parts in the motor assembly so no worries there.
Ready to put back on the machine?, to do that you got to take the spool out and the spring and fit a circlip. Should have been fitted to the machine to start with. Anyway, the other problem is the two brass eyes the line feeds through tend to fall out and the 2-2 head is useless after that.
I have the fsa 57 and it has the 2-2 head and it sucks. I have replaced it 2 times at $30 each time. I can't believe Stihl would put out some like this.
How do I remove the head on a "FSA56" ? Thank you...
How do you replace the head?
Now that I know how to replace the LINE, how do I replace the HEAD like video description says?
