I paid £10,680 (£8,900 plus VAT) for this machine brand new, delivered on 5th November 2024. Some frustrations have been: - it took several months to organise a demo machine, so I pretty much missed the summer. - the machine was actually manufactured in June 2023, and had many imperfections in the paintwork. I ensure these were touched-up as part of the deal, but not great. - two weeks after delivery, the bloody thing isnt starting. Suspect it needs a new battery, but it's now 26th December and I've been waiting for the battery since reporting the issue on 23rd November). I feel a extremly disappointed because one of my main concerns I queried before the purchase was reassurance over availability of parts. Goodness knows what will happen when I need something less generic, such as a tyre, or part of the Kohler engine.

Look really good lawnmowers. I love Stihl.

I have the fsa 57 and it has the 2-2 head and it sucks. I have replaced it 2 times at $30 each time. I can't believe Stihl would put out some like this.

I’m about to buy the xt2 46. Do they come with mulching blades or can they come with them? Is it an option or should I buy the mulching blades when I buy the tractor? I’ll be asking these questions when I go, just trying to get informed beforehand.

Pretty much spot on, although I'd say it's ideal for commercial and overgrown areas too, have a video out later showing it's capabilities. Mine has been a pleasure to use for months now👍 nice review 👌

How can I buy this type

If a fly so much as pisses on a blade of grass this thing will block up. You then have to take the collector off, take the funnel out and use a bamboo or other similar implement to push the blockage back through into the blades until you can see daylight. A massive ball ache and time sync if youre a professional leaving less time for other tasks.

Anyone thinking of buying one of the RMA510 should first see if they can physically get the battery out! It has 2 battery slots but the second is just a dumb, dead, hole. Doesn't switch batteries in use. My wife can't remove the battery and I struggle with my large and strong hands. Have talked to dealer here who acknowledges the problem. Stihl needs to up their ante

For a beginner this is useless

the paint is coming off my aluminium deck, shaft drive clutch is failing, had to remove the steel band inside the deck as it jammed the blade due to the deck corrosion. generally they are cheap despite selling at a premium price (used twice a week in the summer on a big lawn) had it 5 years. replaced a 26 year old castlegarden which i felt i should have kept.
