An AH-64A Apache flight simulator by Microprose. The Amiga version was released in 1989.
Although it retains the original Commodore 64 look and feel, the graphics are beautiful enough and the sound is good.
The flight model is satisfactory and probably the best compared to similar games for home micros. - Ігри
Wow. Nostalgic kick in the butt
Would love to see a modern remake of this game
The closest (although more complex) "remakes" are Jane's Longbow and Longbow 2 since they were made by Andy Hollis who did Gunship.
Not a remake, but this year we can have Apache in DCS (Digital Combat Simulator) soonTM. Is looking amazing...
@@Fercyful it’s out now.
@@SkippyPB. I think is releasing at the end of January 2022. Already pre order :) Thanks for reply!
@@blacbraun I found them uncharming.
One of my fav games along with stealth fighter
I almost never equipped my AH-64 with unguided missiles. 16 Hellfires for the fun. "Soft" targets had to be dealt with the 30mm chaingun. This way i could deal with lots of armor and AA threats from far away and resupplied when necessary.
Nostalgia!!!!!
Best game ever
If you got the CMOH you could send your save game off to Microprose and get a signed certificate from Wild Bill Stealey himself!
Sad i did not know this back then. But then again i only had pirated copies of it on C64 and Amiga. Gunship 2000 and Gunship! were the first ones i could afford from my own money. :)
My parents were sick of this sound 😂
This just looks like C64 graphics with more color. Amiga was more capable than this. I guess it was nothing more than a simple porting from one platform to the other, nothing more.
Oh and the sound is better
