Just under 7000km into owning a V100 S and having just returned from a 3000km tour of Spain a can offer a few observations, finding neutral has never been a problem but the quick shifter is best left to be used in gear 3 or above in the lower gears especially on the downshift it is clunky however it is improving as I put more Km on the bike. The semi-active suspension is one of the bikes best features tour mode is great for a soft ride on the Autostrada but to instantly change to a more aggressive mode for the twisting mountain roads is a brilliant feature that I would not be without. My passenger reports the bike as the most comfortable she has ridden and much better than by previous Triumph 1050 sprint. For me it is the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden with the Aero package providing more rain protection than you would expect but with the ability to stow the screen and winglets when it is hot to provide cooling air. The luggage attachment system is excellent with the panniers being fast to remove but secure against unauthorised removal……….. I could go on for a other hour or so telling you how much I like this bike, but I’m sure you get the picture.
Hi, May I ask how tall are you? I am 6.2 and 15.5 stone with 34 inch leg. Just wonder if I decide to go for one would it be worth getting a comfy seat or possibly the high comfy seat? I’m also wondering about colour. The green does look nice with the brown seat. Also how well does it pull low down. Have a 2021 Goldwing which only has 125bhp but loads of torque low down which is more important to me. Just wondered how well it pulled off the mark. Cheers Matt
@@Costema37 5’9” 23 inch leg, I eventually went for the low seat. It is also is heated , almost too well !
Thanks for the reply. I love the brown seat unfortunately I think the higher and heated seats come in black
@@Costema37 yes they do.
Amazing review, considering one of these or the stelvio as my one and only bike. I’ll getting rid of my Harley for one of these. How’s reliability and maintenance been?
S OR NO S - THE RED ONE LOOKS BETTER THAN ALL OF THEM PERIOD
The grey naval one does it for me
The biggest disappointment with this bike for me is that the S version does not come with in the white paint with gold rims. I want the adjustable suspension, but I want the white paint more. This bike looks absolutely amazing in that color scheme. The S color schemes make it look like every other expensive sport tourer on the market, dull and uninspiring.
S would look better with the gold wheels and white with black wheels
You should be able to order the standard white version with the öhlins as an option. Ask your dealer but I'm pretty sure it is possible.
I have the same issue with Guzzi but with a different model. I really like the look of the 2024 V85TT with the red and white paint but I want all the extras the Travel has. The Travel colour to me is pretty ordinary.
Agreed which why I am contemplating wrapping it yellow Lamborghini or red Ferrari 😊
Agreed
Thanks for the review. I bought the red one. I can agree a on that the suspension is a bit stiff for touring bik, but hey it's not really a touring bike. I use my bike for commutning and shorter tours of a few days.
I own a V100 S for 6 months, and 5000 km later, I can confirm the quick shifter is working very well. It just took me some time to get used to it, but once you get to that point, it’s really is one of the best quick shifter I know. Requires to push firmly but then it’s very very predictable.
I wonder if they'll do a "Norge" version , a slightly bigger but sleek fairing...........ooooo
A fair and balanced analysis and your English is also excellent .
Vielen Dank!
The V100s with heated grips, heated seat, and larger windscreen is amazing. The TPMS issues are annoying. My TPMS sensors did eventually calibrate.
Hi did you go for high heated seat? I’m 6.2 and 15.5 stone. 34 inch leg. Just wonder about the leg angle. My current bike is a 2021 Goldwing Bagger hence I love comfort. Cheers Matt
It doesn't have a heated seat as std does it
God I still drool over the V100, bought an Aprilia Tuono but v100 is gonna be my next bike in a few years i promise it.
Buying one in the spring. Test rode one last month and LOVED it.
Thanks excellent review, I'm seriously considering it as my next bike
The red one is coming in 3 days, right in my garage. To me, the bunch of features for the S version is not worth the price when regarding suspensions and utilities real advantages.
Agree👍I own a red and gold one ….. had my pannier tops wrapped in red and the orange accents wrapped in red ….. lush
Don’t need all the extras….. used that savings for panniers, centre stand and Oxford heated grips 😁😁👍🏍️🏍️
This was a great video, and thanks for the warning about the standard suspension.
Excellent review. What works is praised. What’s a gimmick or does not work properly is rejected. I am a sports rider and love the classic red with gold wheels combination of the standard version so I would probably go for that one. What I do however not like are todays gigantic handlebars in general. So as far as I am concerned Guzzi should also add a Le Mans version. Not as a sort of race replica but as a fun sports motorcycle. So a Stelvio style treatment but then in the other direction with a bit sportier seating layout.
Gorgeous bike!
Of course its gorgeous you bought one of these unprovened and untested POS! Good luck you will need it.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂!
Thanks for the comparison.
This is the type of review I needed. Does it work, how much, is it worth it. Perfection, ty.
I found a non a Navale (favorite color) barely used for 9300usd.. cheapest s I can find is 14000.. hard to justify the 5000 on suspension and heated grips.
With the s model in manual mode does is the suspension still adaptive to the ride?. Curios what the difference between auto and manual is other than having more adjustment in manual mode?
Which boots is the test rider wearing?
V100 ❤❤❤
❤guzzi😊
nice!
"Finding neutral is as likely as winning the lottery". Really dude ?....
I have found it’s super easy to reach N
no bags
There’s a bloke on YT who has one. It has a bloody oil leak. That’s crap. In this day and age, no bike should be leaking oil.
They are garbage!
Hilarious! @@BendOver-vd5ur
Wow comparing two bikes with the same weight and the same horse power.Do you really think there is a difference?
