- After spending weeks planning and building out our 1997 Dodge Ram B2500 Van, we FINALLY feel like it’s ready to go on its first trip! We wanted to keep the van’s maiden voyage short just to test it out and make sure nothing crazy happens, so we headed to Bridgeport, CA to do some hiking in Hoover Wilderness and hot springin' at the Travertine Hot Springs. The van still needs a little work, but shes pretty much ready to adventure! Enjoy :)

I bought a van exactly like this one. Mine is a Primetime. Been working on it for the last 6 months. Its truly slowly coming along. Like the bench bed. You guys did a great job with building your van.
If you haven't already done so, you should look into a dual battery switch setup. When you drive, you can charge a second battery that, with an inverter, you can use for your lights and small appliances. This battery operates completely separately from the battery to start and run your van. It would give you a power source without having to worry about batteries. Just like being in a house with outlet power!

This was so good! Man I love your adventures.
Good call on leaving the upholstery on the walls and ceiling. I've built bunks in at lease five tour vans, and there's nothing worse than the shit that comes out of those walls haha.

You might want to add some customization at back for the kitchen.. I see you guys weren’t comfortable standing up inside, plus all the smell.. having a open kitchen at the back will be game changer in terms of comfort.. off course in winters your current set up is best.

Nice! Do you have a toilet or outdoor shower?
We have an "emergency toilet" and a cheapo shower. Going to work on the shower more when the temps warm up. Hard to use an outdoor shower when it's 30 degrees. 😅
