I love the fact that she literally didn’t spend anything and she is living the dream! This gives hope to so many people who either don’t have the money or the skills to alter their vehicle.
What an amazing lady! Brave. I really have respect for the older, single female nomads ! Beautiful older van. Well done!! Peace and positivity to all....
Everyone you interview Bob, is happy they have make the decision to at least try the nomad life. They people are a cross section of our population which shows if this life appeals to you there is a very good probability that you will enjoy it!
@@candacebryson6276 I’m convinced that people follow in line on the path that others before have tread. To step out of that line involves risk but the potential of great reward!
This is terrific!! I always think about how vehicles won't last forever, so investing in a custom build doesn't make sense to me. Simplicity, functionality and esthetics, it's all right here!
Love it! So cozy on the inside. We love our simple van build, but I couldn't cozy it out because of the passenger windows. But we wanted to keep the windows ❤️ I love your attitude! It is amazing how we can all build our vans to suit individual needs. So glad you got to meet Bob!
It’s nice to see another van traveler from the East! I live about 45 miles from her. The fact that I live so far from the Southwest is what keeps me from doing this myself. I bought 2 different vans over the years and sold them both. I was too afraid to travel that far alone. Candy has inspired me to rethink buying my 3rd van and becoming the snowbird that I’ve always wanted to be.. Congrats on making it happen!
Hi Candy I’m from Western New York near Buffalo which is where I’m still at visiting family and friends I’m a full time nomad since 9-21 I was in Quartzsite AZ last year for my first time too I’ll be back there in another month for the winter Congratulations on your freedom 🙏🥰👍 PS I also had the pleasure of meeting Bob a couple of times it was beyond awesome to meet the man who changed my life forever Words cannot express how grateful and how much I love Bob not just for all of the people he blessed with his wisdom but by drastically reducing our carbon footprint for the only planet we have therefore he helps everyone 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hi Mark, Yes, it was such a treat to meet Bob, what an inspiration he is for so many people. Maybe we'll meet at the 2023 RTR in January, make sure to introduce yourself if you see me. Thank you.
Awesome van! I love how she gets by on low power. Finding a way to get by without a fridge is the secret. Not sure I could figure it out myself but I admire those who do.
Love this no-build build! And I agree that her stool covers would be a hit at rallies! I’m picturing all kinds of designs from frilly to camo and everything in between! ❤
Bob I like how almost all campers you interview, Cody checks out their rig too. LOL 😂. He needs his own channel to report to his 4 legged friends who has a cool rig and who to chose as a owner. LOL 😂
She is so inspirational! Just do it! Thank you Bob and your team for everything you do. One of these days will become reality for me. Have a blessed day.
I'm from Philly and now living in Colorado and I am just happy as a lark to see this young lady live her best life. I am truly inspired by your videos and each one brings me closer to living my dreams. Thanks Mr Bob 👍
A wonderful lady and a terrific no-build build. Candace...you should be a real inspiration to everyone looking to dip their toes into the nomadic lifestyle without breaking the bank or burning the bridges. Happy travels.
Nice! She has done a wonderful job with her van. 👏 All of you at HOWA can tell through her how your work has helped many people fulfill their dreams and make better lives for themselves. Kudos. 👍🏻
Lovely no-build. It helps to have those cabinets along the upper walls for built-in storage. Thanks for saying what material the shelving unit is made of, as I will look for one of those for my no build.
I absolutely adore that New York fabric she made her curtains out of! The colors are so beautiful! What a sweet lady! I can't wait to get back on wheels! 💕
She has a very cute and homey rig. I love her curtains. The way she divided up the back with lacey curtains really makes her van look roomy! Great job 👍
I LOVE that she has pictures of her Grandkids, I haven't seen that in any other video, it's so homey & has so much personlity, I think it's the coolest build (well, no build), but the most personality of any design I've seen. Much Love All
Wonderful lady love her no build build and her bucket cover is everything! The minute I saw the cover I immediately thought wow she could sell those and then you said it Bob. Much love and many blessings
Loved the video Bob! It's so encouraging to see women doing what I dream of doing. You look great and in good health Bob take care. I look forward to all of your videos!
oh i love all her curtains and her toilet cover! She is so talented and I agree with you Bob that she could definately sell those!! I'd buy one for sure!!!!!
Thank you so much Marie, don't know if I'll have time to make stool covers before heading out this year, but, I will be taking my little singer feather weight machine with me again this year. Maybe I'll make some stool covers while on the road.
I just left Jefferson NY after spending the summer there. We nomads are all over. I’m in Tennessee right now, making my way west. I hope you had fun at the RTR and are coming back this year. If not, enjoy your travels in your sweet little van.
Hi Hayden, I love this van, runs great, and it is super cozy! I did take out the bed, bench seat, this summer, and built a plywood platform, much easier access to the storage underneath now. I'm hopping to get a few more years out of her. Safe travels to you, and, thanks for watching.
Candy, I think that’s what Bob called you. I’m a follow New Yorker and I got such a kick out of your van and your great presentation of how you set it up. I’m a guy but I love all the curtains and pillows you set up in your van. All the sewing and you made everything look so clean and neat! Thanks for showing all of us. Take care, Joe P
Wonderful to see how well you've made this home-on-wheels work for you! So many nice touches. Thanks for showing how this lifestyle can be real for anyone who'll stretch beyond their fears. Congratulations and well done, young lady :) Stay safe and God Bless
Bee-yew-tee-ful van! I love the name and all of the personal touches you've included, Candy! Using your grandkids' toy box is such a great idea--useful and full of happy memories. You have made Ruby a warm, inviting home on the road for you and Wahllie (I love dachshunds!). Best wishes for many happy miles ahead!
Great video. I love the van and that she did it without any modifications. Very inspirational. Ruby Red is beautiful and her owner seems very happy with her new lifestyle.
@@candacebryson6276 Thank you Candy! I had just posted this question too. Boy, that was low mileage- good for you! I had an opportunity to pick up a year 2,000, one owner from a long time acquaintance that had taken meticulous mechanical care of it of it with all records that had driven his family on many vacations- so many that it had 223,000 miles on it. I passed, but maybe should have had my mechanic look it over before passing it up. Well, each day now still not finding ‘affordable’ with lower mileage makes me wonder😊 if I acted in wisdom or deafening fear. 🤦♀️ I know you can’t answer THAT :) and I’ll need to find ‘it’.
What a nice, cozy, functional home. I love those pom pom curtains. Candy, I'm sure you make a lot of friends out there with your easy going personality. Cute fur baby, too. Have fun adventures.
Candy you have such a fantastic cozy van. You did an amazing job decorating and designing your living space. I admire your courage in just doing it. I too have grandchildren that are school age and I babysit them a couple of days a week. So that's keeping me grounded plus my husband also who's a homebody. You're livmy dream!
I like the inside of her van, just has what she needs which does include a power source with solar panels. I do think trying van life before putting a lot of money into it is a smart thing to do. I would buy one of the covers she made to cover her bucket, it is very cute. Thanks Bob!
She saved so much money knowing how to sew.
I agree the bucket cover seat would sell like hotcakes at a rally.
