Make something on the yom kippur war very undercovered
Repetitive titles, Not in my CallMeEzekiel!
(But seriously though the content is great)
Why did you
Change the thumbnail to Sweden
Can you do a video on the Peter Kemp's two other books?
Wait how can this comment be 17 hours old if this video is 3 hours old
Disregard women, choose the side of European conquest
Agreed
Amen
You don't have a choice, women already disregard you.
Amen
Jawohl
"make conquest not love" -Frederick the great
Fritz did both, actually.
@@nathanseper8738 did he have any male lover?
@@blugaledoh2669 Pretty much. His being gay was pretty much an open secret.
@@nathanseper8738 evidence?
@@blugaledoh2669
Let me go and publish a photo of Fred kissing a man
OF COURSE THERES NO PHYSICAL EVIDENCE THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS
Do you want also evidence of Cesar conquering Gaul or his diary is not good enough?
There are sources, and we are at least 100% sure that the man had at least two man lovers and is very probably that he had more
Although he also had guys who were just friends, like Voltaire
Its very amazing how prussia got series of competent rules, like dam they got RNGesus on their side
If only I could get that luck in eu4
@@reddeathstar2428 6/6/6 *heir* *exist* hunting accident in the background
@@thesittingacheroraptor7565 either that or anything over 3/3/3 keeps dying as well leaving me with crappy leaders
Proof that good leadership determines the success of any nation.
@@nathanseper8738 that and the stupidity of the other players.
Like, that cunt of Tsar who got out of the 7 years war. As a French I'll never forgive this man.
Fun fact:
Principality of Prussia become independent not beacuse Prussia defeated Poland, but beacuse polish king Jan Kazimierz Waza was in dire situation during the Swedish Deluge, and to secure help from Prussian Principality, he promised to give them independence if they will help kick out the Sweden.
History of Prussia is basically one big luck streak until WWI and WWII.
1. Teutonic Knights invited to Prussia by Polish prince because Poland was too fragmented at that time for his province to beat Prussians.
2. Teutonic Knights took cash from Polish prince to defend Gdansk/Danzig from Brandenburg but they never returned it.
3. Teutonic Knights having Pope on their side in almost every dispute despite violating treaties multiple times.
4. Teutonic Knights losing battle in 1410 but enough for them to give away any territory.
5. Teutonic Knights are allowed to stay in Prussia even though Bona Sforza wanted them to be eliminated, dismantled and Prussia annexed.
6. Brandenburg Hohenzollerns take Prussia joining the two provinces greatly strengthening Prussia.
6. Prussians don't have to be loyal to Poland anymore because Poland is exhausted by multiple wars with Sweden and Ottomans.
7. Protestants win 30 year war because France betrayed Catholics, this gives Prussia upper hand among German states.
8. Prussians greatly supported by Protestant England, Sweden Netherlands etc. basically given free millitary tech.
9. Frederic the Great lost almost every battle so far and gained nothing but thanks to internal Polish weakness he feasts on its corpse with Russia and Austria, boosting Prussia from not that important state to a player.
10. Austria (it's only real German competitor) gets obliterated by Napoleon and is not a great power anymore, despite being called one.
11. Prussia given valuable land in Rheine full of modern industry.
12. Prussia takes advantage of weak Austria and French (yet again) incompetence and conquers remaining German states.
So far each one of those successes was allowed thanks to some external event. For example there would be no Prussia if Teutonic Knights would never be allowed to Prussia or if they would be eradicated as Bona Sforza wished or if France would shown signs of functioning brain at least once in its existence and supported Catholics instead of Protestants, or if Poland would reform itself or if Napoleon wouldn't obliterate Austria turning it into a shell of an empire.
After reunification we get a streak mistakes:
1. Prussia brainwashing Germans into thinking they are superior beings
2. Prussia thinking they can take down France same way they did in 1871
3. Prussian pride infected Germans thinking they got a harsh treatment although they didn't
4. Prussian elite allowing Hitler getting power and starting WWII
@@damian4926 Least Nationalist Pole^

The history of Prussia: being a backwater that rocketed and fought its way to the top in Germany, with the single virtue of an EXTREMELY elite and well drilled army.
Fighting an essential 1v6 in the 7 years war, always impressed me
It's 2v5 unless I'm wrong.
Luck would be a major factor, too, given what happened with Russia in that war. I'm surprised the German Empire didn't have its own "kamikaze" thing like the Japanese.
@@andreigrotescu2516 Sweden, Austria, France, Russia and Saxony. Though Saxony wasn't much of a threat so it was mostly the latter 5 though out of even them Russia and Austria dealt the most damage.
@@squeaky206 MY GUY YOU ENUMERATED 5 IN TOTAL SO IT'S THE LATER 4!
Luck was number 1 factor tho, Austria and Russia were closing in for the kill during the 7 years war. Had Russia gone on with it...
Love the "Best Friend" part if your Fredrick the Great segment. Makes me chuckle every time
"And so they were roommates!"
I thought that exact thing!
They were just friends
16:40 Specifically, a young British Colonial officer led a squad of troops and Indians on a patrol to search for French troops in their territory; they found some and captured them but the officer lost control of his natives who proceeded to execute the French prisoners, kicking off the French and Indian War and then the Seven Years War.
And that young officer's name was George Washington.
Then in order to pay for the war that the americas helped start, taxes were raised on the American colonies
This would become a cause of the revolution
So basically even when Washington lost he won
What if washington committed war crimes
'Murica strikes again.
@@waffle6376It‘s more likely than you think!
18:55
Just for reference, by that point, Russia conquered all of Prussia, most of Pomerania, and were about to capture Berlin while the Austrians weren't too far off to the south.
In that war, Prussia won thanks to that move of Peter alone.
They call it the (2nd) Miracle of the House of Brandenburg for a reason
@@CliffCardi The best part is: Frederick later ordered a golden statue, depicting his three most fervent enemies, the Empress of Austria, the Empress of Russia and the royal mistress of the French king, to be placed atop the highest peak of his new palace just to flex on them. The madlad even had them carry the Prussian crown!
20:09 I feared Prussian Glory would not be in this video.
Congrats Prussia 🥳🥇
Jawohl, wie es seinen sollte!
„This video is funded by the Hohenzollern“ is such a hilariously fitting line for current topics surrounding the dynasty today
When you put the "Women are temporary, conquest is forever" thing, I was laughing so much.
12:57 , they were lovers, that just makes what his dad did even more cruel
Poor Frederick did not want to be buried next to his father, a wish only fulfilled in the 1990s.
Allegedly. (Decent amount of evidence, FAR better than most similar claims but still not 100% certain)
@@DIEGhostfish dude it's not like he had a Twitter bio.
He couldn't/wouldn't want to, reveal openly his homosexuality, the amount of evidence for the time IT'S the confirmation, not only that but some of his lovers were part of his court, I remember that he even gave a state to one
So yeah he wouldn't want a "coming out of the closet party" but he had AT THE VERY LEAST 2 male lovers
Also, that evidence we have it's after the "funny mustache man" went on a redacting-spree of anything "deviant", so that's the evidence we get AFTER a massive sanitation campaign of Germany's most important figures
Probably, since his father hates the French for being "too effeminate".
@@gonzalopelaez5649He also likely had syphilis transmited from a court women in saxony at a young age which left him (likely) infertile and his private parts well ”deformed“, just claiming he was gay without considering any other possibilities is intelectually as dishonest as claiming he was heterosexual. If you ask me he was likely bisexual.

Even though that wasn’t the actual Spanish flag at that time, I really like how you still added it
The Saint Andrew's cross was still used sporadicaly through the 18th Century in mainly infantery regiments, but you're right, by that time the flag was another one

🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖 For my Prussian Brothers
Tanc a lelek reminded me of how against the odds was the 7 years war for Prussia
Noooo wheres the old thumbnail, the one with "Swedes? Not in my Prussia!"
I would also like to mention that Russia's Empress after the 7 years War, Catherine the Great, had actually met Frederick when she was a child
It used to say the Austrians not in my Prussia but know it says the Swedes not in my Prussia
That music gave me PTSD when I played high fleet 🎖️
That’s what fredriek was feeling in the 7 years war
The bond between the Netherlands and Prussia has always been strong. That's why the last emperor's grave will be respected untouched for the rest of time. Gr from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
