Very similar to Jack Russell, guy I used to think it was Great White, lol. After listening to both I can see the similarities. I have this cassette and the Trick or Treat soundtrack on CD.
This song is really helping me out right now, at this time in my life. I just turned 40 last week; from a biological standpoint, due to ongoing health issues, I'm facing my mortality not far away... ... that being said ... This and this video, is just the kICK IN THE ASS I really needed!!!!!!!!! (Thank You, #FASTWAY ) Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to resume working on leaving behind a legacy - those before me, would be proud of!! *\ m /*
*UPDATE* I'm still hanging in there!! Just received my Yellow Belt in *Karate* - and want to continue showing anyone with a transplant - can still kick some ass in life!! It's just a matter of finding your place, inside the sun!! *- NAC*
I love all of the Dave King Fastway albums, but always thought this record suffered a little bit from 80s production techniques (gated drums, excess keyboards). Would love a chance to have this remixed and remastered. It shows more on the rest of the record than on this tune specifically.
Gone but never forgotten Rest in Peace Fast Eddie Clarke but don't we all know how sweet the show in heaven will be .When this song came out we all thought the world would wait for us .
This band and song has helped me get through some really challenging times since i can remember when i am now 50 years old and i still love my music from this era never dies this cool music not ever
People need to remember that this third album of theirs was easily surpassed by their follow up “Trick Or Treat”. Fastway reestablished themselves as relevant with the TOT soundtrack. They were already amazing to begin with but they totally got with the times on that album and really cranked out nothing but hits. In my opinion trick or treat is their most aggressive effort.
great voice. this band deserved much more credit in heavy metal. AMAZING band , fantastic line up in this song. It is a shame that some amazing bands did not reached the TOP just because there was not the " correct " management surrounded them ....like in life....
RIP Pete Way Dave King had a great rock music voice. From Fastway to Flogging Molly...weird transition, but great. I saw Flogging Molly a couple years ago with Dropkick Murphys....easily one of the best concerts I've EVER been to. SUCH energy from both bands. If you ever get a chance to see Dropkick Murphys or Flogging Molly (especially if they're touring together), ....DO IT !!! You won't be disappointed.
I never knew the singer I had heard occasionally in Flogging Molly was this same guy I listened to on thousands of occasions between this album and Trick or Treat with my parents and to this day!
They were desperate for a hit album, since All Fired Up bombed commercially. I can't blame them, because those first two albums should have been bigger hits. They were decently popular in America, but it wasn't enough. They bounced back with the Trick or Treat album soon after, but by that point the band was already taking on water.
Had the honor and pleasure of opening for these guys back in 84. Just for kicks we played the first two bars of Say What You Will and stopped. Then we said if you want to hear that one you'll have to wait for the real thing. I'm sure that when Fast Way heard us start that song in their dressing room their first thought had to be "what the hell are they doing"!
I remember hearing this when it came out & going “WTF??” Where were the loud, raw Fast Eddie riffs?? Tossed the cassette in the garbage. Trick or Treat got their sound back but by then it was too late
What a miserable shame that Dave turned his back on rock and roll forever, but when you have one bad break after another you're gonna try something else something the opposite. That sucks, but that's the way it is. He's still good, but he's lost his looks and headed back to where he was when he was a kid and I mean an even younger kid than in Fastway! How old was he in Fastway? He looks like me when I was 16. I'm 38 and don't look at all the same anymore. We all grow older. Face that reality and the world does wait for you!
+Benjamin Blake Mitchner I see your point dude . I miss this time in music also unfortunately it changed and Dave had to follow the trends it's sad how music has changed and there is no Hard Rock anymore only Heavy Metal that sounds like Death Metal. It's crazy because there is so much potential still in Melodic Hard Rock.
MrSmokeydog That's the point I was trying to make. Flogging Molly is not for me. Hard Rock existed for what doesn't even seem that long a period in time and heavy metal all became perverted cookie monster shit. It used to be really good music that was called heavy metal it was melodic and had good songs and usually great musicianship, but blink of the eye and it was dead as a door nail. I used to think the 90s were all bad, but they weren't Fuck the 2000s this is when everything fell apart and not just music, but the world.
Hey Dude were coming up on a new election and with new leadership in our country maybe everything will make a shift in time where all of the music and the media had a clue of what was great stuff. "NOT" Sorry brother that was then and this is now and as far as I am concerned everything is going to hell in a bucket.
MrSmokeydog I agree with that sentiment. Trump is an insane hate filled piece of shit and I hope he loses otherwise the world is doomed not just our country. Hillary is my choice, but she has done some bad stuff too. How far we have fallen. We are going to hell in a bucket.
my bad thinking of a different person but i thought it was the lead singer of fastway that died in a car accident back in the 80s with vince neil vince neil survived naturally but his friend died
FAST EDDIE - REST IN PEACE.
Such a great band.80's forever!
Love The Trick or Treat Album/Movie. Brings back fond memories of a friend who passed away.
one of the mysteries of my youth ..... how was this band not huge? Loved this cassette.
They only had one minor hit say what you will...that's is why but they are still a pretty good band
@@briannewmyer I understand. I still listen to Fastway today. Can't tell you the last time I listened to a Ratt album.
David King one of the greatest voices ...
Very similar to Jack Russell, guy I used to think it was Great White, lol. After listening to both I can see the similarities. I have this cassette and the Trick or Treat soundtrack on CD.
FASTWAY
Sounds more like Robin McCauley to me. Anyway, great voice
Way too similar to Jack Russell but great ntl
R.I.P Fast Eddie Clark you and your great guitar playing will be greatly missed by this fan.
This song is really helping me out right now, at this time in my life.

I'm turning 56 soon and I too face my mortality a lot sooner than I expected , I listened to Fastway back in the day . seems like yesterday .
*UPDATE*
I'm still hanging in there!!

Waiting for the Roar has always been my favorite album of all time. It really is a perfect record, especially King's vocals on this album.
I love all of the Dave King Fastway albums, but always thought this record suffered a little bit from 80s production techniques (gated drums, excess keyboards). Would love a chance to have this remixed and remastered. It shows more on the rest of the record than on this tune specifically.
Good album but their 1st one blows this away... No keyboard crap
Gone but never forgotten Rest in Peace Fast Eddie Clarke but don't we all know how sweet the show in heaven will be .When this song came out we all thought the world would wait for us .
Fuckin´good old Rock´n´Roll!!!
Dave King great vocall!!!
This is one of those killer albums you just never get tired of, I bought it on cassette when it first came out, now I have it on CD!!!
One of my favorite....full of memories.
One of my absolute fave's in the mid 80's rock scene
Great song of the 80s!
David King great perfect singer respect!!!!!
This was a Great Time and FASTWAY and David King "Kicked Ass".
Saw them as AC/DC's special guest in the 80s. They played that cool song too.
R.I.P. Fast Eddie
AWESOME SONG...WHAT A VOICE FAST EDDIE HAD.😎
This band and song has helped me get through some really challenging times since i can remember when i am now 50 years old and i still love my music from this era never dies this cool music not ever
1987......Memories.......Gave me so much of strength to believe in my self
one of the best rock voices ever in my opinion. Not kidding.
Agreed...now doing Celtic punk...sigh.
you are totally right
Daniel Dahlgren yeah I heard it - ugh!
I totally agree, Daves voice is better than Ronnie James Dio!
You must be kidding.Dio's voice was forever, today Dave is a second division irish pub crooner...
People need to remember that this third album of theirs was easily surpassed by their follow up “Trick Or Treat”. Fastway reestablished themselves as relevant with the TOT soundtrack. David King powerful singer great!!!
Respect dave king!
When King left...Fastway was horrible. Even Fast Eddie couldn't save the band. Those 4 albums with King are all just fantastic !
great voice. this band deserved much more credit in heavy metal. AMAZING band , fantastic line up in this song. It is a shame that some amazing bands did not reached the TOP just because there was not the " correct " management surrounded them ....like in life....

I never knew the singer I had heard occasionally in Flogging Molly was this same guy I listened to on thousands of occasions between this album and Trick or Treat with my parents and to this day!
The transition was jarring, from "All Fired Up" to the synth wash of "The World Waits for You".
They were desperate for a hit album, since All Fired Up bombed commercially. I can't blame them, because those first two albums should have been bigger hits. They were decently popular in America, but it wasn't enough. They bounced back with the Trick or Treat album soon after, but by that point the band was already taking on water.
Fantastic album love it epic work just a perfect song

Сильна пісня вийшла спільно з оркестром, шкода що кліп у низькій якості але все ж таки 1986 рік ,взагалі дуже сильний у них вийшов альбом в 1986
Хорошая группа была жаль мировой известности не добились
FAST EDDY ROCK ON BRO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Música reflexiva. Satisfaz meu gosto. Long live Fastway!
Então escutes esta letra também, meu chapa : ua-cam.com/video/Vv4O8sAdCTw/v-deo.html
I met them in Detroit in 1983. Stand up guys and true rockers.
One of the better "warm up" bands that I saw. (With AC/DC circa Back In Black tour)
well the band was formed in 1983..
That is right! Maybe he meant Flick of the switch tour!
Amazing singer
Oh my God what an absolute classic I'll play it all the time because it's fantastic just like trick or treat album amazing thank you
Fine song by them.
The world waits for me.
swietny videoclip oraz super piosenka oraz wspanialy zespol fastway

Glad I found this
Peace to u
RIP EDDIE
1985 Vinyl release
Awesome vid
as far as I've found there is only a soundtrack to trick or treat.
Seriously? You haven't heard their other albums? Fastway is amazing! One of the best bands I've ever heard.
Fast way what a hell of a Talentend hair metal band hear some on hair nation
From Fastway to The Flogging Molly
. Remember she's not the one
That fucking codpiece... Dave King is a disaster stylewise.
LOL It was the 80's!
🤘🤘🤘
I'd sure like to see an HD version of this video.
I remember hearing this when it came out & going “WTF??”
Where were the loud, raw Fast Eddie riffs??
Tossed the cassette in the garbage.
Trick or Treat got their sound back but by then it was too late
me here
Love this song and the album, just wish it didn't suffer from the stereotypical 80's production, especially on the drums.
Wow, Eddie was hardly shown at all in this video, they made him out to be a background player...
thats not normal
they are
fast eddie clarke with short hair
Middle 80's, teenage guy with stupid mullet, weekend, girls and beer.
(1985)
Who is the perfect Singer?
Dave King
why isn't there an album or album's from fastway i'm only curious because they kickass against most other bands of the same era????????
+leslie polaski there are many albums from fastway
この後カトマンドゥを結成するのね。

Keyboards Nooooo!!! Get those keyboards outta here!!!!!!!
THIS GUY IS AWESOME HE SOUNDS JUST LIKE VINCE NEIL FROM MOTLEY CRUE TOO BAD HE DIED
If you're referring to the lead singer, his name is Dave King and he's the front man for the band Flogging Molly these days...not dead.
my bad thinking of a different person but i thought it was the lead singer of fastway that died in a car accident back in the 80s with vince neil vince neil survived naturally but his friend died
If he sounds great then don't compare him to Vince Neil cuz Vince is a lousy singer. This guy actually has some talent.
sebastian skidmore You mean Razzle from Hanoi Rocks who was with Vince when he crashed his car.
yeah way back before my time but i heard about it and i was told it was dave king but aparantly not
the birth of skinny jeans.
+drew rosecrans haha no way man XD they were around long before this
Dublin guy singing?
Fuckin-A vid
No way. sounds better than vn.from mc.
I still much prefer the full version ua-cam.com/video/YBlqsZa-K2Y/v-deo.html, I miss the pounding drum intro to the guitar solo on this cut
sounds like jack russell is doing the singing. ....
lol I agree
It`s different to ac/ dc, have else of Jack Rusell.and else of Vince Neil or Mark Slaughter.
Anyone have a better quality version of this video??
I do
I had no idea Joe Lynn Turner sang for Fastway?!
Dave King & Lea Hart sang for Fastway
I can't hear the keyboards.
Typical for metal bands. Four guitars/turn down the keyboards! lol
