I owned this album when I was a kid, and all the music on it was great! Saga was an amazing band that was underrated!! I’m 54 years old now, and I’m so glad that I found this video. It brings back a lot of memories!! ❤
Bought the album while I was stationed at Seymour Johnson afb after the song came out and the original MTV played it . We had just received cable in the barracks. Some ridiculous low price to have it hooked up in individual rooms. Only a few of us had it and naturally those were the rooms where several people gathered on a Friday and Saturday night partying like there was no tomorrow. Lol Anyway with all the good videos and music when SAGA came on we knew it was time to party .
I was a young A1C myself in Colorado Springs when this album “Worlds Apart” came out. I went right out and bought it just because of this song and video. I remember also when the video premiered on MTV. Incidentally, I also remember the premiere of MTV in Aug 1981, that same year. I don’t remember having cable TV in the barracks, but the year prior I had met my future wife, and moved into her apartment with her, and was sitting on the couch in our apartment living room watching that premiere when MTV came on air. I’ll never forget that day. Of course MTV is pure crap now. I don’t remember much about this album other than this song, so I guess I need to go to the closet and search all my old vinyl and spin it once again. I still have all my original stereo components that I bought while overseas in the late 80s. And here I am at age 66, still enjoying it. 🙂
Bought Tickets to Pat Benatar 1983 got 3rd Row center a week before the concert, Saga opened for Pat, a loud great time to be had, Pat's husband is a great guitar player !

This song came out in my Junior year of high school and was definitely played at full volume in my car while aimlessly cruising around with my friends looking to meet some girls and find a party. This Friday marks the 45th anniversary of seeing Saga for the first time on my 18th birthday, 11-24-78 and I followed them to the last show of the farewell tour at the Phoenix although they still play local once in a while but Jim may have retired. We had so many great bands in Toronto in that era, I was so lucky to see them all at small clubs and back then we had a lot of great clubs. Times have changed, 2/3's of the clubs are gone and local talent does not get the chances bands had back then. I will never regret growing up in the 70's and 80's when you bought vinyl records and listened to them start to finish, as Gene Simmons said the record is dead once the CD era started.

🎸🙋♀️Miss the 80s🤩 I played in high energy 80s hard rock bands & this was a fun song to play. My other guitarist played the synthesizer parts on guitar.
I watched many times, then noticed after the leads, Michael trips off a riser. I’ve tripped on stage a few times in my music career, then ran like I meant to do that Lol. But after he trips the line is “We may be heading for a fall” & he looks back at the riser. Haha
@drewwin794 noticed the cool “flyer” fan before the leads. LOL
I saw Saga at the very first Rock Am Ring at Nurburgring race track in June of 1985. It was my last big blowout before heading back to the States while deployed for the Army. Awesome show, beautiful weather, great people and music! Those were great days bros. I really miss them!
You can find videos of the concert here on UA-cam. Worth looking at!
Love these 80s videos...
Will be 54 this year...
Great band and was fortunate to see them up close/live during this time. Their earlier stuff was good, too.
I see he's a Freddie Mercury disciple...
He'd totally cop to that.
@@alexhicks5889 This was one of those "2 am" bands, as I liked to call 'em. Seldom saw them during the day, but would always catch 'em when I would be coming in from a bacchanal...
Glad I’m not the only that noticed that!
VERY underrated, GREAT band! Love these guys!!
Great Canadian Band
As far as I know they are germans, not canadian!!!!
@@danielladuran266 non my friend they are from Canadá, but they are so famous in Germany
Upvoting. My mom is Canadian, so that means I'm half Canadian. Yes, that's a thing. Ask anyone.
@@danielladuran266 definitely from Toronto area. My wife went to the same school as the keyboard player. They did become very popular in Europe.
This is even way more than just a great song,. It is a world class composition.
A spine tingling rock symphony!!!!!!
Steve Negus. Another great lefty! Super talented, under-rated drummer!
This is a great song and I remember it quite fondly, but nothing else they did was ever this good.
When I was 11 in 1982 this song was hot on Mtv.I tried to spray a white t shirt in red sun, like the Japanese flag the singer wears. My mom thought I was sniffing paint.
The absolute perfect party song ! As a young airman at Seymour Johnson AFB this came out on the old MTV . We had just got cable TV in our barracks. Not all had it but those of us who did partied like a bunch of fools . 🤣. When Saga came on we were some rocking boys and girls.
