This helped a lot to see how the power steering pump fit in there. Another example of a stupid design by a car manufacturer to save a couple of bucks and make us shade tree mechanics pull our hair out! For the fan and clutch it is removed by turning it left and is not a left hand thread. The best suggestion I have seen for holding the pully still is by placing a C clamp on the pulley holding the belt down and giving the wrench a quick tap with a hammer. Be careful not to damage the belt, but it works very well.

All nice, but you didn't show the ugly part,,,,,, pulling off, and putting back on, the pulley!

The fan can be removed with a pair of vise grips to grasp the pulley by the thin lip on the back of the pump pulley to keep it from spinning and a large pair of channel locks/water pump pliers. The threads are not reverse thread. They are a standard right handed thread. "Lefty loosey righty tighty" works on the fan nut.

You had to remove the pulley for the pump too as well..what socket did you use to remove the stud?
