Wheel/Tire size info 17x7” American Racing VN215 with 225/45/17 on front of 65 Chevelle

Quick video showing the fit relationship to a 7” wide wheel with a 225 wide tire. Shows that is creates a nice square sidewall on the tire. General rule of thumb is for the tire to be 20mm wider than the overall width of the wheel.

That’s what I am explaining in the video. You need to watch the video a few more times. When you buy any wheel that is advertised and sold as 7”, the actual over all width is 8”. This goes for all wheels. I explain this in the video clearly.
