- Plans change! No camper living for us after all. With the prices of everything always increasing, we know we will need time to buy and build the shed to home into what we want it to be. Our plan was to live in a camper with a barn built around it while building, but plans change! We were able to get this manufactured home for the same price! It was already sitting on a lot near us so it wasn't hit by the price hikes! We also had plans of having a second living quarters at the farm so everything seems to be right on track!

Thank you and I agree! There is definitely a stigma but at the end of the day, having a safe place of our family to call home is really all that matters. I think it’s easy to get caught up trying to keep up with everyone around you but doing what works for you/your family will always be the right choice 😊

I absolutely like your new home 🏡. Can't wait to see how you will set up your decor. That brick back splash is nice. I would have liked to have seen more of that brick used in the bathroom/ utility room I would build a closet system in the master closet. Put double racks an some shelves. That’s great and all, but I feel like I missed something…maybe there was a video removed or a community post that I didn’t see? It’s a little confusing. I mean this is what I would have done from the beginning, but I’d at least like to see where you changed your minds and ordered the new house.

Can I ask, why you went with a mobile home? I have raw land, and need to make a decision... but struggling with building a stick home vs mobile. Time is of the essence so leaning towards mobile...

Way to go!! While I like the idea of converting a shed, we have a really luxurious 1 bedroom with 2 small lofts, gambrel roof and porch,,,, in the end, to get that suspended 8 ft on one end and sitting on a boulder on the other end, wiring, plumbing,insulation etc, we could have moved a nice 2 bedroom manufactured home with a nicer front (end) porch onto the same location with a crane and a sturdier support system,, for LESS per square foot!! We love the place, but have since bought a location with a log cabin that’s 1.5 stories and 1730 sq ft plus a walkout basement. The “Shabin” is used by the rest of family as there are also 5 RV sites on the land. The cabin is mine & my wife’s.
You will truly love the manufactured home!! They are sooo energy efficient and finished so well. Instant square feet!! No real hassle or hours & hours of work. Nicely done!! Very nicely done!! Congratulations!

Great new house! I hope you build a large deck out back and a big deck out front. Get mats to help remove mud or setup a shoe cleaning and storage station at the outside doors to keep your pretty floors pretty! I am so happy for you both!!! Enjoy this blessing!

I'm 58 and we are hopping to get the house on the dirt by March 2024. We changed and changed, got bigger and bigger and the dp grew.... But as of jan we can hopefully get the mtg and order!

Hi happy for you. Nice to see you guys again. welcome back. So you are still going to work on your shed to cabin now. I have not been doing much just working and help my step mom with her weeds and garden . Are you going to be on now about every two weeks now Hope so. Ho I got a new couch It was what I wanted It is light brown. The only thing I did not like it was 675 dollars but I wanted it so bad. You guys have a good night and day.

We can definitely make one to show how the foundation is set up. Unfortunately we had no notice when blocking and the brick underpinning were done so we weren’t able to video any of it.

My wife and I just bought some land and we’re planning on doing the same thing with a manufactured homeWe thought we should do the septic first and the driveway what are your thoughts
That’s awesome! Congratulations! We had the septic instillation done after our home was set up because we knew the home would have to travel over where our septic lines were permitted to go and we didn’t want to risk damaging them. Also, the size septic field will depend on the number of bedrooms/bathrooms in the home. It might be worth picking the house you want first and then getting the permit for septic to save money from pulling the permit more than once? Thanks for watching and commenting!

I’m confused where is the shed to house. That’s why I subscribed to this channel in the first place. Then one day the shed to house is gone and a mobile home appears. I absolutely cannot stand when creators make huge changes and then leave subscribers in the dark. I’ve just officially unsubscribed from their channel.

Completely depends on your area and builders! If your looking, I would recommend shopping with all dealers in your area to find the best price!

They are boith the same thing
They used 'mobile' for homes prior to 1977. The only difference between mfg homes how is modular or mfg, as single or double wide which are built to HUD standards. Modular are also mfg but built to your state codes.
What YOU NEED IS AN EVACUATION PLAN! In case of tornado, where is your closest safe place? I know your excited, but please please please have a fast plan to get OUT with a go bag of your important papers and pets! Enjoy your new home, but have a plan…….please!!
