@@narcissus79 Rus and Baltics have some similarities but they are not the same. It is like comparing the English and Irish. They live close together and long time ago they had some of the same Celtic ancestors but their cultures and native languges are different.
Sure, the scandinavians had settlements near the coasts and rivers in the Baltics so they can be compared to vikings from that point of view.

Martins is not using his legs the way Thor does on his bag throws. Thor bends his knees and explodes upwards with his legs when he throws the bag. Just something I’ve noticed watching you all go back to back. Also Thor releases the bag more at eye level which means there is more upward momentum being created before release resulting in his throws making more of a compact hyperbolic path up and over the bar. Not pretending to know better than you all, but just a couple of things I’ve noticed that that may help.

Hapfthor.... Brother... It is touching to hear that our support really does make a difference... You won me over as a fan with your first WSM appearance, and I will continue to stay in your corner until the day you retire (you know, like 600 years from now) 😁

Wow. I literally just found your YT Channel today. You are such an inspiration. BTW, I just watched the Worlds Strongest Man 2019 I was so sad at the outcome. I know if you didn't hurt your leg you would have been the champ again. You will always be my champ. I wish you all the success in the world and now I have to binge watch all your videos. HEHE.

I remember watching Ed Coan train at Quads Gym in Cal-city when I was in my teens. I’d ask Tom and Dave( the owners) when is Ed in town next so I can be here to train and watch him.. or Stork ( front desk guy) would call me and say “ hey nate Ed’s in town “ now all I have to do is turn on You-tube and watch what I wish. I’m so grateful for You-tube and I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to workout and train at Quads for 6 yrs as a young lad.

detops mu I mean it could be that he puts himself down to keep humble and to push harder. Some people, have different mechanisms on how to push themselves. Maybe, for martins that is a way for him to push himself to do better.

I have noticed that Martins use more back on the throwing while Thor use more legs (the movement should be similar to a kettelbell swing where you have to focus on the extension of the legs)...maybe this can be the Key factor...what do you think guys?

The guy in the jacket that appears at 11:05 is Hjalti Arnason who was one of Jon Pall's training partners and a strongman himself. If you go back and watch the WSM comps from the 80's, he is always there coaching Jon Pall and shouting him on.

It’s such a balancing act at the levels these guys are competing at. You want to train hard and lift heavy, but also you need to avoid injuries. And as strongman gets more competitive these guys keep pushing the limits of the human body, and they end up training and competing closer and closer to that limit of the body.
