      It's because he knows talk is cheap. How many people want to be recognized and be liked with words(politicians and clowns) while Thor is a man of few words because he lets his action speak for him. Honestly, most people are not tv hosts like O'Brien or whoever. So it's fine the way Thor is. He has friends, family and is one if not the best strongman currently.

      freethinker1 not to be picky, but I don’t consider what Matuesz did as being his max dead lift. It’s a legal lift within the strongman rules. Getting to your knees, lean back and jerk it up on your legs an inch at a time. Hope in training he isn’t doing that.

      @@anthonyproffitt5341 Mateuz max on deadlift as I know isn't actually that superior to any of the other strongman as far as I know. He is fucking amazing however, due to the fact that he handles the weight he's comfortable with so easily that it's like air. And that weight, is amongst the world's best.

      @Elusive Anomaly Definitely. Thor is good at both static and dynamic lifts which puts him in a very different league of strongmen. I think Tom Stoltman and Mateusz are gonna be 2 of the biggest contenders in that league in the future.

    • @TheStraightestWhitest
      @TheStraightestWhitest 4 роки тому +2

      @Elusive Anomaly He's not even necessarily the strongest static lifter. On the elephant bar, his absolute peak was 465. He had to psychologically fuck himself beyond his physical means, and get a personalized bar, 8-straps and a suit for that one 500. It also made him blind for two days, and nearly killed him.
      Thor just did 480 raw (with straps) on the elephant bar, and walked it off like nothing.
      I think Thor has surpassed him even in static strength.

      Thor did exactly what the Rogue announcer kept saying everyone should try not to do in the frame carry. The nose of the frame kept hitting the ground when he was gaining momentum; once it hits the ground it drags you to a stop even if your grip is good and you don't let go. Thor never practiced on an actual incline so that wasn't part of his training. Martins ran up a hill with a frame so he knew how to control the tilt and apparently Jerry and Mateusz did too.
