Keith has a VERY good command of his automotive knowledge. When you started to operate the starter the first thing that came to mind was the engine has no compression for whatever reason. (Jumped time, valve train problem?) Immediately, Keith says the Multi-Air system is causing that and it sounds like a good engine. IIRC Charles Chips were made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Great video!
In Houston, we used to have Charles Chips, where they delivered to your house. HUGE metal cans of potato chips. My folks still have one of the cans at home. (It's from the 70's)
@@tbelding I still have our metal can from the '70's. I buy Charles Chips at Cracker Barrel in bags and dump them in the can. I have a co-worker that drove a Charles Chips truck back-in-the-day and had him taste them. He said they tasted the same. I think they are made in New Jersey now.

I've been watching you over a year now and truly impressed with your skills and still don't imagine too many techs doing it to this level. You're setting the new standard.
On any Multiair engine that's been sitting more than a few weeks, you will have to crank it a good 60 seconds at a time (in 15 second increments to save the starter and battery) in order to pump up the valve train with oil and get the valves to function. That's why it sounded like no compression when you first cranked it.
@@adamtrombino106 Not really. An extra set of solenoids, but one less camshaft and no dephasers. Probably a lower part count than a standard modern 16 valve head.

@@sblagg527527 Sorry, I didn't see it that way. Yes, there were ideas and suggestions flying here and there - but it was totally understandable. I had no difficulty in following the "flow" of ideas and possible solutions. Doing the work they do requires a bit of "mental multitasking."
