Nice diag. Electricity always finds the path of least resistance and in this case should not be a test light. I love auto diagnostics. That buzz of finding a loose, broken or green wire.😂
There is a small oil filter in the head. You can google how to change it. If it is plugged with sludge the oil flow is limited. Change it periodically (and keep the oil clean) and you wont have this problem.
Hi Jim, the diagnosis took about 20 minutes. I disagree that the first thing I should check for is a bad earth. Live, signal & ground. All had to be tested which ever order I carried the tests. The customer was charged for an hour long assessment; would of been wheather it had taken an hour of 5 minutes.

Testing with a jump lead is a poor way to carry out that test as depending on the quality of the jump lead it still may not start. Look up the video super mario diagnostics did on testing earth faults. It explains it quite well

I had this on my fiesta 1.4 Tdci and it was the starter motor that had failed,repaired it and it still works

Im trading mine in. Mechanic cant find anything wrong. One day it works great, others days trouble starting, next day cuts off while driving.
Who ever fitted clutch will be getting a ear bashing lol
They’ll be getting the invoice for the tow and diagnosis i imagine!
Put something on that mic bcause we only hear the wind blowing..

There's a big flake of rust on the end of the crank position sensor
bit shitty for customer having to fix a problem that was created by other shop. such is life i guess.

Hi don’t want to be negative no pun intended and I think you probably do this anyway a jumper earth to the engine would show the problem 😊

Long way around on a fiat just go from the negative on the battery to a metal on the engine with jumper cable
