Regarding my machine (Beko WTK72011W), all components have tested OK
What I am now doing in between loads, is turning the machine off (but still powered) and pressing and holding the start/pause button to reset the programme
So far this has meant the machine hasn't stopped like I have experienced so far
But as you know yourself, an intermittent fault can be very difficult to diagnose, but at least my machine is continuing to function so far, I am loathed to get rid of it, it is only 2 years old and it should last for a considerably longer amount of time
Thank you for responding to me however and giving the advice that you have done and that you continue to do on your channel, you are a credit to your profession

Okay, hope you're having a good weekend. I've managed to find you a workshop manual on this machine but I do not have your email so if you contact us through the website make sure you address it to me Paul and I can send it over

There's also one useful tip when diagnosing newer washers. Many manufacturers from Electrolux, Bosch all the way to Samsung started cutting costs, so in order to save around 0.5m of copper wire they added the heater to the main power circuit, it used to only contain the PCB and door lock, but now also heater has to be checked if the machine starts doing completely random stuff. So if someone has an issue of washer "constantly clicking" the door lock or the display turns into the disco ball of flashing lights, usually it's not an issue with the PCB or the door lock but with the broken heater unit. If the washer engages the door lock as soon as we connect the mains cable, that's where we know the CPU is dead, and new board has to be ordered.

Checking carbons every couple of years? ... My 2005 Candy's original carbons lasted 15 years, and the machine recently died at 19 (suspected spider failure). I've got a Hisense Inverter now. Bet it won't last 19 years? It's beautifully quiet, and clean!
Incidentally, I was surprised to find, unless I'm much mistaken, that the inverter PCB is integrated into the motor itself. There's definitely a PCB at the back of the motor.
I've just bought a Spin Dryer, to cut down drying time. Not seen one since my mother's 70s Hoovermatic Washdog Twin Tub!
