    I have been a Nirvana fan since I started high school, its been thirteen years since then and their music still helps me. I hate the fact that I never got the chance to experience them in their time, but the fact is that they are still going strong. I see teenagers wearing Nirvana shirts with earplugs blaring, and it makes me feel incredible. Kurt Cobain still speaks to me, and with a little luck he will continue to speak to others for a very long time.

  • @lukemagnus2184
    @lukemagnus2184 9 років тому +150

    Kurt was depressed and suicidal for years. It showed in his music, image, and interviews. He's flirted with the idea of his own death in multiple interviews. He wrote a song called "I Hate Myself and Want to Die." He's also said his severe and constant stomach pains that came from heroin use made life really painful and also made him suicidal. After this he said if he were to commit suicide he would want to do a lot of drugs first. He was a severely depressed man who had obviously been fighting his demons for years and I guess he just lost to them that night.

    • @shakilchowdhury8582
      @shakilchowdhury8582 9 років тому +24

      Two things i would add is that he claimed that his stomach pains relieved themselves in 93 and also, the song "i hate myself" was a joke, he stated it was not a literal title but a parody.

He joked about dying like he joked about many things....The Heroin actually relieved his stomach pains...like many of todays prescription drugs..The facts are overwhelming that he was murdered.You either have not read any of them or are being paid by CL to spread lies about Kurt. Omg same, I didn’t even know anything about Kurt about a month ago and one day decided to do research and here I am watching every single video about him and reading everything about him and looking at every image possible that has to do with him and Nirvana. Not to mention his house isn’t to far from me and I’ve driven past it multiple times before I knew about him. Now I drive past it and it ruins my mood every time. I wish I could forget about him, respectfully, I hope he’s happy now but I wish I never happened. I’m never going to forget him and I hate it so much, I don’t love Courtney but when she said “everyone say F U Kurt” I now understand why she’s so mad, it makes me wanna cuss him out for doing what he did if that makes sense.

    No, we really don't. There is great music going on still, independent music. Nirvana started off as a Indie/Punk band, and that music is stronger now than it was in the 80's, thanks to the internet. Just have to look for it. Mainstream anything is always up for exploitation, so keeping music non-mainstream and independent keeps it pure.

    I don't want to sound like I'm more intuitive than I am. However, as soon as I picked up my cassette copy of In Utero and listened to it for the first time in my Ford EXP deck while driving, I knew Kurt was in trouble. Those self-eviscerating lyrics cut through me like a knife. All I could think, after hearing the final song All Apologies was, "get help Kurt". A few months later, he was gone.

    What do you guys think happened?
    I've always thought it was suicide.. But I've been reading some stuff and watching some videos.. and there are many details we didn't notice. Some details that can change this whole suicide theory. I was really sure he killed himself.. but right now., I just don't know what to think.

      Kurt had a tragic life and I truly believe it was suicide. Same with Chester, no one killed these amazing men but their depression.

      Someone on Nirvana's team maybe their manager I don't remember, said that he thinks it's ridiculous that people think it was anything but suicide, that's his opinion I guess but since he knew Kurt Cobain well his opinion im sure has a lot of weight

    It's quite possible Kurt didn't do it. See the evidence for murder at cobaincase(dot)com. He was divorcing Courtney and she had signed a prenup. It's called motive. She tried to kill her first husband too.

    Kurt was born right when divorce liberalization was happening and lead concentration was peaking. it seemed to create a creative surge, as sickly as it was.
    Today Divorce doesn't bother people and lead is gone from the air. Creative ability by the brain decreased????
