Leigh Whannel is my favorite current horror filmmaker. His stuff is so much fun, and dude created SAW. Upgrade is his masterpeice to me. I hope Wolf Man lives up to my hype ha!
The sequels are brilliant, misunderstood dystopian sci-fi action extravaganzas. It was Resurrections the one that betrayed the ideology of the original Trilogy.
Yes! Good on you, Cary Elwes for picking Papillon, a movie you rarely hear anyone mention, yet it's exactly as good as he describes it.
Cary Elwes great actor.
His appearances in the show Psych are hilarious.
He really is! He's just a sweetheart. Really nice guy.
He's fantastic in The Bard's Tale.
He will always be The Dread Pirate Roberts to me 😊

same here! his invisible man was so good too
He's definitely surprising 😱
Very important content, thank you Letterboxd
Leigh went from hosting is own movie talk show, to being responsible for Saw and Insidious
Yes finally someone mentions the life of others (das leben der anderen). Nice ‘twist’ at the end
Eight wonderful choices.
I thought both of these guys had strong American accents so this really surprised me, had no idea.
*TRAINSPOTTING MENTIONED!!!*
The Lives of Others a masterpiece an almost forgotten and little mentioned
They're like brothers truly!
Especially at the end of saw😄🌟
Cary elwes picks show a culture and taste very unusual in hollywood
Finally someone picks Trainspotting 🙏🙏
Battle of Algiers! Apocalypse Now! The Lives of Others! Classic films❤❤❤
Battle of Algiers such a good pick
Chainshipping reunion 😍
TRAINSPOTTING!
Tell them both I love them
Not Leigh feeling compelled to justify "The Lives of Others" as if it's a pretentious pick😭
Yes life of Brian at last 😂😂 best comedy ever
both dudes have great taste. i'm more into cary's tastes but leigh has some strong picks as well.
Dr. Gordon and Adam reunited?! 😮
You'll come around one day. Reloaded is incredible
Ayyy its t h e m! Very nice :']
I'm a doctor
I don't trust anyone who doesn't love The Matrix Reloaded. Most filmmakers can only dream of directing something like the freeway chase.
totally disagree. its one of the most brainless and mind numbing action sequences ever put to film. reloaded is trash and ruins the first movie
The freeway chase is aces, but there's so much screenplay clutter surrounding it. The first one is just a lot better storywise and actionwise.
The sequels are brilliant, misunderstood dystopian sci-fi action extravaganzas. It was Resurrections the one that betrayed the ideology of the original Trilogy.
@@rjmacready9828Nah. Matrix: Reloaded and Revolutions are good movies.
@@Driv3rMadnessI have a soft spot for Resurrection, but I understand where the haters are coming from.
sorry, Cary, but Saw grossed just over $100M worldwide in it's entire lifetime, not opening weekend. That was only $18 M
Cary Elwes' choices were mutch better than Leigh Whannell's...
no🥱
Who cares?
Why are we comparing them? Also you don't like Double Indemnity? I don't believe that lmao
Oh, sure OP. My comment is also better than yours.
Just because I say so. 🤦♀️
@@magicknight13 He never said he didn't like Double Indemnity.
