- Another night Wild Camping in the stunning Lake District. A steady 8 mile hike in shocking rain and wind, as I arrived at Small Water the sun came out, only for the rain to return again throughout the night and into the morning and it was RELENTLESS.

15:00 - A wee tip, if you know it's going to pish down or the ground is marshy stick on a pair of gators. For all the weight they are it's totally worth it.

That was one mad camp lad, sounded like the rain was gonna bust it's way through the tent at one point, I've got some of them sealskinz socks and like you say they're brilliant, not cheap but well worth it I reckon, it feels a bit weird if you put them on wet, (just like wearing wet socks) but once they're up to body temp it's not so weird, have you ever thought about leather footware for the wetter hikes, I don't mind textile footware in summer but I always go for leather in winter, keep em polished/dubbed and keep that water out.
You can really slog your guts out getting to camp, but once you've got the tent up, brew on and relaxed all that slog seems well worth it and I know what you mean about getting back home to the couch, it's like a holiday from a holiday with all the creature comforts, (hot water oooOOoo)
I'm slowly working my way through your exploits from past to present and from this point of view (watching your year go by in maybe a couple of weeks) I can see how your kit is changing & upgrading for the better, your videos are getting more proffesional and your experience is growing, keep safe mate and keep on trekking. 🤘

Yeah was certainly a wet 1 mate, I think i’m on a run of 5 nights now where every night has been rainy and windy 😂 suppose i’m used to it now.
You want to try Blea Water as well, next Tarn over, it's lovely. I did a bivvy camp on Scafell Pike a week ago Saturday so around the same time, was bloody windy wasn't it 😂😅. Cracking video mate 👌

Yeah mate, really impressed with the tent so far, for a budget Chinese branded tent the Naturehike tents can withstand a lot of rain. Yet to have 1 leak anyway. 🤞🏼 thanks for the comment bud

Blimey that was some serious rain. Good to see the cloud peak 2 held up. Did any rain blow in through the top? Wasn't sure watching the video of you Inside when it was lashing it down.
No mate managed to stay dry thankfully 🤞🏼 i’ve thought about that being a potential issue with the mesh being exposed under the top cap.. hopefully never happens lol

Camped on the other side/ straight opposite a few weeks ago. Seen 3 lads pitched in your spot and was unlucky enough to see one of them climb up on the crag behind, do a 💩 and watched up just throw all his toilet paper on the floor 🤮

It was you that gave me the idea of buying those foil food bags so rather than waste money on the Way Farer meals why dont you just buy these meals in a can a decanter into a foil bag and just heat them up instead....its got to work out at a 3rd of the price and probably the same amount of calories and adding a bag of Tilda Gluten free rice will definatley add some calories at only a quid a bag and better for you than Uncle Bens.
