You made me laugh with the comment about sheep shite being everywhere 🤣. But the views you got in the morning looked awesome, you got a cracking cloud inversion and that road would be great to explore via a motorbike, great video mate, see you in part 2 🤟👍
You should make more out of the fact that you do your own music. I’ve heard some excellent tunes on your channel. The Sunrise Suite was really very very good.
Top video that mate. You were rught you had the best seat in the house! Shame the fog spoiled your views of Mam Tor.. but what you gonna do.. ! Looking forward to next week's mate
That low blanket of cloud is called an Inversion...i like your videos and how you put them together so well done and an extra well done for getting out in all weathers, its got to be done....Re parking i have started using train and buses services to get away from doing the same start and finish points and it works out much cheaper not paying for fuel and parking plus the peace of mind about my van getting broken into and i get the extra fitness workout at the start and end of each trip with a 1 hour hike to and from the train station :)
Aye i know mate i got the lingo correct by part 2 😅 and Yes i’ve thought about trains, especially with the cost of fuel right now and mine likes to drink it for fun unfortunately , may be an option next time 🤙🏼
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors i hope you don't mind me saying but i have used every stove going throughout my time which includes 15 years in the army and 45 years hiking climbing and camping and i swear by the MSR windburner stove system and i can do a 4 nighter using only a 100 gram canister with my dried food cooking which consists of making 25 to 30 boils making brews , soups, and water to add to mash , noodles, cuscus and 5 dried camping meals, i supplement these foods with sachets of tuna and i rehydrate jerky and mushrooms and take dried fruits and porridge which again i just add boiling water too and i am quite a big eater but always find this is sufficient to sustain a good 15 to 20km worth of daily hiking carrying around 18kg getting down to 13 by day 5 with no food and water. Just woke food for thoughtful you mate because the MSR Windmaster is super efficient in any weather and super fast with no messing about and theatre bis boiled before you can get your cup and brew kit ready....The single best and most important bit of kit i own because worst case scenario if i have to bail out i want to know i can fuel myself and big my moral up enough to hike to safety in any weather condition...quick access to hot foods and drink are a real life saver when you are cold and wet and the wind is high.
Another belter, always fancied the peak district but never got round to it, bit sad considering I'm only in Leeds Was that a glimpse of glorious Buttershaw at the start?
Great video mate, probably driving up from Norfolk tomorrow. Done mam tor, lose hill and win hill a few times each, but never the great ridge. Question, did you have to waterproof the nightcat or was it all good out of the box?
Thanks mate, everything up until my next video on Monday has all been recorded on a iPhone with an external rode mic. Now i’ve just bought a Go Pro 11 so i’m gonna be using that to see how I get on with it.
Have you tried the army meals. They're cheaper and very tasty. The breakfast is well tastier than out of a tin. Curries r tasty too. Not had any that tastes like crap mate.
smokeh bahstad 😁 ma new fave binge watch channel 👌
Cloud inversion really is beautiful. It crawled over us when we were up the Roaches during a stormy day.
That's quite a wild sunset you've captured there, mate! 👌🏻 The celestial fire falls up into blue! Splendid stuff
It's like a whole nother universe every moment the light changes. Wicked stuff. I'll keep an eye out for part 2
