Use the baking soda and Dawn paste to scrub everything then rinse it off with the vinegar to cut the grease. That takes advantage of the chemical reaction instead of cancelling out the acid and the base. Finish with good old water to remove any leftover residue.
I did this today, but I put a cling film on it, so that the paste doesn't dry, and left it like that for a few hours. After that, I easily scrubbed it and wiped it
It was a pain to remove it. It took me 3 hours of rinsing all the soap out. It just kept sudsing up. Overall it worked well but the best advice is to not let your oven get so dirty. I didn’t have that much of an issue with the smell afterwards like others had mentioned. Just make sure the heating element is cleaned off if any of the mixture gets on it. Overall 7/10
Skip the vinegar in the bowl. Use the soap and soda paste. Then most the vinegar over it. Works so much better. I personally just use oven cleaner. But this works too, my mother does it twice a year
I always clean with baking soda and vinegar ,but just couple drops of dawn dish soap . I just want to tell you that is too much of dish soap ,have in mind that soap is soooo much concentrated so wonder how long you would need to rinse of .😅
Thank you for this cleaning hack I tried so many ways to clean my oven but this is the best I,m also going to wash my bathroom wall tiles with this ingredients
Hot dang ... It works I just did it I made it more liquidity as I don't want it drying as it is a pain to clean , some elbow grease 💪 but it looks beautiful ❤️ I suggest the other method of a dishwasher tablet it's on you tube... Good luck.
You know some of the common saying you can use this you can do that it doesn't matter which ingredients you use whether it's together or apart does it matter which way it does really work
The first time I did this I did too much of it. ANNDDD it took forevvvvvvvvvvvvvER to clean. The video I watched I guess said double the portion. I was like never again but this portion seems to make more sense and easier to clean. Maybe I'll try again.
Baking soda is alkaline which is good for organic stains and vinegar is acidic, good to remove water spots, calcium build up, etc…. Not so sure if applying both is a good idea even though the end results were amazing.
This is horrible... I tried this and it is such a pain. It dripped all in the oven and took forever to clean. It still smells up the entire house when the oven is turned on.
This is the worst cleaning concoction ever it takes forever to get rid of all the soap. Do not use this stove cleaning solution. TOO MUCH SOAP!!!!! And it did not clean my oven!!!!!
I once mixed too much water with the baking soda. I poured the runny mixture into the oven and left it till the next day and most of the dirt and grease came up when I went to scrap the dried up mixture.
3 parts do I understand been looking for this manufacturing without doubtless about I'm gonna have to do start time disgusting oven to very very easy to begin.
Baking soda and vinegar neutralize each other. If you combine them together you'll essentially just get salt and water, which is useless for cleaning. 1. First, combining baking soda and water, and use that paste for heavy grime. 2. Then - you can use vinegar, soap, and water to clean the rest. Don't combine baking soda and vinegar in the same step x_x
Do not use that much soap, I used way less and still spent forever wiping the soap out. It didn’t really clean well, my oven is A year old, thought I would try this before it got nasty like some people. Was a lot of work.
People despite what advertisements have taught you bubbles do not equal cleaning power, mixing an asic D and a base just crease a neutral soluttion and does nothing to Improve cleaning performance. Yes bubbles are fun but it doesn't mean clean.
DO NOT USE THIS! This recipe is not right, I tried this and my whole apartment REEKS! It’s just bad, A) too much soap for 1 oven B) it does not just “wipe off” it takes so much water and wiping to get this off b/c it’s dawn so it just makes more and more soap bubbles. I wiped for like an hour & when I turned the oven on next it just smells like those harsh chemicals I was trying to avoid. PLEASE DO NOT USE!
Um…no. Use washing soda and water for the paste. Then use vinegar, a little dish soap, and water after scrubbing the paste and wiping it off. Vinegar and baking soda neutralize. So much misinformation on the internet, even for cleaning “hacks”!
What a stupid quantity of Dawn. It took me forever to clean the bloody oven after this mixture and the residue of the dishwashing liquid still remains! No amount of rinsing was getting rid of the soapy suds.
This is waaaaay too much dish soap... you only need a few drops. Also, baking soda and vinegar cancel each other out, so you'll want to use them separately and only mix them with water.
If you have soft water at your home, I recommend you do not try this! With this amount of dish detergent in the mix, even with some great microfiber cloths, it took me literally a couple of hours to get all the soap out of my oven. It just wouldn’t go away, no matter how much I wiped! I scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed with the stainless steel too, but it still did not get it super clean. Will have to try a different way next time.
I'm calling B.S. on this. 3 hours B.S again. Buy the oven cleaner or purchase a new stove. Not 1 house keeper/maid uses this. WHY because it a hard A Job.

Baking Soda & Vinegar counter acts each other. All you need is one or the other.
Yeah, came here to say it would be better to add just a little water to the soda and dawn to make a paste and spray with vinegar to neutralize after
You took the words out of my mouth
That is for disinfecting. She’s not trying to do that here.. she’s trying to soak grease. She accomplished that, obviously
I did this today, but I put a cling film on it, so that the paste doesn't dry, and left it like that for a few hours. After that, I easily scrubbed it and wiped it
roughly how many hours? thank you!
@@staceym9163a few hours usually means 3-4 hours?
Great idea! I'll be trying it right now with the cling film. Thank you 🫂🫂🙏🏻
Did it work good???

My oven was like, "Yeah! Try again, chump!"
I tried it and it worked really well... Way less harsh
than aerosol oven spray cleaner
Did you have to unplug your oven's electricity before you cleaned it?
Hot dang ... It works I just did it I made it more liquidity as I don't want it drying as it is a pain to clean , some elbow grease 💪 but it looks beautiful ❤️ I suggest the other method of a dishwasher tablet it's on you tube... Good luck.
I did this today, but covered my oven with wrap for 5 hours. This did absolutely nothing, only making things smell worse and a mess to clean up.
Yes same issues
Thank you. I was looking for a cleaner that didn’t use harsh chemicals . Going to give it a try. I’m in a rental and the stove is disgusting 😩
Same here
Long-term rentals or short-term? I just bought a whole new stove
@@SeymourKittyI'm in a long time lease and need to clean the oven, will be doing this tomorrow.
Any luck ? I'm about to try it
@@jazsambi8442 did it work?

I fell for this method. Im pissed just a huge fkn mess. Looking into buying a new oven.
And then use it to clean your bathroom! It’s magical 🥰🥰

Thank you Gia
Thank you. I need to try this.

True. Why would we want to work hard. Buy the oven cleaner and get it done.
Thank You !!

Amazing thanks
Tried this today and literally did nothing for me. Just a pain to clean off
Same 😢
Yes I spent hours washing away the soap and I still had a dirty oven.
So just dawn?
It is okay to leave that overnight? It will not harm the oven?
You may hear screams in the night though.
3 parts do I understand been looking for this manufacturing without doubtless about I'm gonna have to do start time disgusting oven to very very easy to begin.

thank you, basic science.
Vinegar and baking soda effectively neutralize each other. Youd have been better off just using salt and soapy water
For disinfecting, yes. But that’s not what she’s doing here.
This simple recipe did not create a paste, instead a foamy watery mess…thanks so much (insert sarcasm).
Do not use that much soap, I used way less and still spent forever wiping the soap out. It didn’t really clean well, my oven is A year old, thought I would try this before it got nasty like some people. Was a lot of work.
Do you need to disconnect your oven by unplugging the electrical cord before cleaning?
THIS IS NONSENSE!!! The result was foam not a paste and the hardened crust on the stove surface remains.
Most hated job thankyou 👍
Just subscribed 🙌🙏🏿
Don’t Brillo pads scratch the surface?
Would this method work with a Flat top griddle ??
Wouldn’t use Brillo pad
Baking soda and vinegar literally cancel each other out….
Exactly 😅 the dish soap actually did all the work
It's all about the Bubbles
If it works it works!
You can try Dawn Dish soap and Table salt. The coarseness of the salt helps
Does it HAVE to have dawn or any washing liquid
Just use fairy and warm water ! In 15 minutes is done ! 😂😂
What is a Brillo Pad?
❤
U have to get in between the glass😊
Just buy an oven & grill cleaner and let it sit for 20 min before scribing or wiping 😊

Two to three hours? Is this a gas stove?
Doesn't we need to clean the ceiling area of the oven? Please reply

Have you found different WAY TO CLEAN IT??As I am tired experimenting..being >60ties but would like to hack ve the PROPER WAY to sort it OUT😊
That's just water, salt and dawn liquid soap. That supposedly cool reaction is the baking soda reacting with the vinegar to form water 🙄
I use the self clean button

Yeah. Found this is BS. Just like most of these YT how-to videos. How disappointing!
