I bought a brand new forerunner three weeks ago with these wheels and loved them. Today was the first time I washed it. These are the hardest wheels I’ve ever cleaned not only because of every little nook and cranny but break dust does not want to come off this powder coat like finish it just smears. I had to go back over it with a dish rag and scrub it with one finger. I will never wash these wheels again. They will be up for sale tonight. What a flaw by Toyota.
Well you just convinced me to get this wheel, after looking at hundreds of wheels on line. I was a little worried about the 7 inch width, but you explained it very well. I was looking at a 17/9 with -6 offset. It if I go with these at + 4 offset and 4.5 backspacing, I may be able to go up to a 275 / 70 / 17 tire instead of a 265 like I was looking before with 17/9 with -6, with 4.75 BS . I want a more aggressive stance and the tire pretty much flush with the fender flare. Would that be achieved using the seama wheel with 275’s or 265’s? With a 275 would I incur any rubbing on my stock suspension Tacoma.? Since my truck is magnetic grey I think the grey seama wheel would look more amazing than the black. Your thoughts? Great Video.
You shouldn't have any problems with the tires rubbing the stock suspension. Although, when I talk about the wheels being more flush to the front I'm specifically talking about the wheel face. To get the wheels and tires to be flush with the wheel well you'll want to run the 275/70/17 on the SEMA wheels. If you'd like the wheels and tires to creep outside the wheel well you'd be better off with the 17x9 on a -6mm offset you had talked about. Either way the rig will look great, let me know if you have any other questions.

Those ones comes with lettering both sides black... Just in case someone is looking for the same tires I was. Again thanks for your great video!
285 is definitely a stretch, and a stretch too far in my opinion. When I spoke with an engineer at BF Goodrich he was hesitant at 275. They're just super narrow wheels for what they are, it's probably their biggest down side.
Can you tell me how the heck you got those to shine? Is the Sema TRD's different? Do they have a satin finish? I purchased a 2021 Venture and man, the matte flat black is a bummer.

7” wide is a joke, these aren’t designed for off-road at all. I don’t like super wide tires but holy cow, even Toyota steel winters are 6.5”! Poseur candy;(

I used the same lugs for both the Tacoma and 4Runner, they're both a 6x139 lug. Keep in mind this is for a 3rd get Tacoma and 5th gen 4Runner.

Hey thanks, that is correct. You just mount the tires with the white lettering facing inwards.

I got replica TRD sema wheels from Element Wheels, they're a satin finish 17×8
Lol, just some tire and wheel shine. Doesn't last long though, back to flat and dirty within a week or so.

It looks like the replica 213. Oem’s only comes as matte black, silver and bronze
