    Haven’t seen you release a video in a while. I hope all is good on your end. Don’t forget that that is men’s mental health month.

    Roger! Where have you gone? I have been awol myself with life detours and changes! Stumbled upon you blog where you had lunch in my home town of Calistoga and I got re-hooked and have recently watched all the available blogs. But the most recent was this one-4 months ago…so I am a bit concerned! I remember you sharing some of your health issues that I think were depression related…are you doing ok? Anything I can pray about? Really hoping all is well!?!?

      @@ggg4runner hey Roger! So relieved to hear you are doing ok! Had me worried a bit!
      Losing our motivation can be a perplexing situation and one I can relate to. I “love” playing golf (does anyone truly love playing such a frustrating game! No sane person anyway!) and my motivation was to get better and continually lower my handicap. As I have aged, that no longer motivated me, partly because I’ve turned into an old man hacker!! I can no longer improve my handicap because my handicap is now-ME!!! Terrible turn of events! So, I almost quit playing because of a lack of motivation. But I still enjoy the game…so my motivation has changed…and for the better! I now play for the fellowship/social aspect of being out on a beautiful course and being with friends, some old friends and some new one I meet on the first “tee”! And I enjoy the game more now than I did back in the day.
      So, what I am trying say is that maybe a new motivation of just “overlanding” for yourself, seeing all the beautiful “courses” out there and just being with your wife and /or friends and forgetting about filming. Just enjoy the “journey” as I d heard from someone somewhere!
      You are a most enjoyable person I while I do miss your blogs (is that the correct word?), more important is that you enjoy where you are in life right now. It’s perfectly ok to take some time off or give it up all together…maybe take up a new hobby( be advised NOT to take up golf for ANY reason. It’s a suckers game- I know because I am a “sucker” and it NOT fun-it’s a curse!)
      So just want to encourage you to enjoy life where you are right now/wherever that may be! God has you in His hands, He created and gifted you for special things and has a plan for you!
      If you ever get back to your channel, I will be here waiting! If not, I am thankful for the part of you that you shared with us and will pray Gods blessings over you!
      Bob
      P.S. In the case you’re up in Calistoga the next few weeks, I am here visiting and would be happy to treat you to a lunch, dinner or cup of coffee!😊

    hello again !! I hope i can ask you a question about gaia but not about one of your videos: I have the premium gaia on my phone and on my lap top. I have several folders (Alaska, SW USA, Boondocking sites etc....) in my gaia. INside each folder are some subfolders (hikes, RV campsites, Rustic campsites etc....) But occasionally for no reason i can discern, in the Gaia on my phone i find MANY (not all) waypoints suddenly on the front page (for lack of a better term) of my app on the phone (but NOT on the computer version)... they are 'loose' out front the listing of the folders (alaska, SW USA, boondocking) ..... these seem all to be duplicates from inside my subfolders, but now placed out on that 'front page'.... any thoughts why that happens? it is a nuisance because there are a lot of them , and you have to select for each one the correct subfolder to reposition them (and then you find out they are infact a duplicate) or simpley delete them one by one. Thoughts? thanks alot. Also, does there app sometimes (on the computer i notice this) overloaded and really slow down ?? Occasionaly i'll click on a waypoint, then 'view on main map' and the mouse icon just spins and spins..... for a long time! thanks. dave

      I've never experienced that issue you're having with data duplicates. As far as it running slow on your computer, there are just far too many factors to even attempt to guess what the issue could be. Your best bet is to try reaching out to their support team and/or searching for threads about those issues on their forums.

    What I would love to be able to do is find a bunch of boondocking locations in an area and then export them all to Google Maps to save separately. Do you know if that's possible or would I need to manually save in both Gaia and Google Maps for each one?

    • @ggg4runner

      You can export a GPX file from GAIA and import it into Google Maps or vice versa

    Hi once I have made a route on Gaia how and where do I export the GPX files with the directions? What application do I send them to?

    • @ggg4runner
      @ggg4runner  3 місяці тому

      Where you want to use the GPX file is up to you as there are a myriad of apps that can use GPX files. Your use of the term "directions" has me confused. If you are expecting turn-by-turn voice guided navigation, that is not what this is. These are routes for offline use that you use as a visual reference to help you navigate when you are off the grid.
