13:44 you guys are in last chance canyon. That’s a fun sandy rocky trail but you should have hung a right at the entrance and gone to the tunnel that’s a fun steep uphill trail on a ridge line.
Nice loop! I've been looking at putting together a loop from Ridgecrest to Lake Isabella, but I think I'll wait till there's a little less snow than you two braved! I ride Ridgecrest quite a bit. If you guys ride that area often, I can send you a couple good loops.
You could do it, just stay out of the high country until the snow melts. There are a few ways into and out of Lake Isabella that we should have used, rather than going through the Piutes.
@@GarrettMorrow Thanks for the advice! I've been up to the Piutes before and found some pretty challenging single-track. Might be a bit rough with a backpack full of camping gear.
Holy crap man, rad ride for sure. If you need a third wheel, I'm in! I've been prepping for some desert racing, but I need to do some purely fun runs! Moto camping is always a good time.
Looked like a sick time, nothing better to go on an adventure with a great friend. Do you guys run Mousse, Tubliss or just HD tubes? Also what tanks size are you running for trips like this?🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Hey Lucid. Thanks for the comment and questions. I run tubliss in the rear and HD tube in the front. I also have a oversized tank on my dual sport all the time. I believe it’s just over 3 gallons. My KTM friend runs tubes front and rear. And also has an oversized tank.
@GarrettMorrow I owned a klr650 for a short time. Thing was heavy and terrible in sugar sand. When I was young I had a dr350 that I really liked. I'm getting a tw200 in a couple days. Hope it's not a mistake but I like the fat tires. Look like they'd do good in sand. Just not sure about the lack of power as far as getting up some of the hills you guys were climbing in this video.
@@GarrettMorrow I grew up in Ridgecrest back in the 60's and 70's and then moved away when i was 18. I was hoping to see more of my desert and mountains, see what's changed
Let's gooooo! Such a rad trip.
Let’s get the next one planned!
Awesome video 😎
Thanks Hold.

So dope.
Thanks!

Hello! 👋
Hope to one day ride the desert ////
You should!
What a sick adventure. I love that area, I may have to copy your route.
Thanks for the comment YJ bro! It’s a great loop with a ton of variation available. Just watch the snow levels.
Keep up the great work!
Thank you!
What I sick ride
Thanks Bubba!
very good
Thanks!
From indonesian always watching you brother
Thank you Bastian!
@@GarrettMorrow no probl brother 😀
Good luck
Thanks!
great video! would you happen to have your route in some sorta file that you wouldn't mind sharing?
Thanks Kevin. I don't, but if you pause at @0:16 that gives you a really good idea of the route. I gotta leave some of it up to you to figure out!
Copy that. Figuring out the route is part of the fun. Thanks man.

Wow...fantastic riding and scenery 👍
Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks Adamo, moto camping is my favorite!
How many miles in a single tank? And what's your bikes tank capacity? How far can you go
I believe it's a 3 gallon tank and this sounds horrible but I don't really know the range. My guess is 100 miles if I'm cruising.
2:00 What’s up with blue water jugs on the ground? Are they for Travelers?
PCT trail crossing. It’s for hikers. Good question! Thanks for the comment.
Who else put their head down going under that pipeline😂
🙋
Looks awesome! Could you share the route? Gpx or screenshot?
@0:14 Other than that, not really. I used caltopo.com and gpsvisualizer.com to plan the route.
@@GarrettMorrow Thanks!

@@libertyforamericanow That's a great bike. Reliable as hell. But it's not well sprung and will not be fast. Still though, it's a great bike.
Wtf do you mean you hope you don’t have to go up that don’t you have a route? Lol I’m watching your video for the route lol
Going off route can be the best part!
looks hot, probably made you wish for a nuclear winter
Indeed!
Anybody who wants to do this ride, make sure it's California street legal or else.
Yes, if you ride on the street, make sure to have a plate.
All that adventure condensed down into twenty one measly minutes. i find that disappointing to say the least
Maybe ill start doing some extended cuts. The analytics says you are in the minority if you watched the whole video. Thanks for the comment!
