I did the Tevis Cup going the other direction last summer from FH to Truckee and have been looking to do the Rubicon this upcoming summer. Tevis cup was probably one of the best trails I have ever rode, stunning views and a mix of everything. snapped my shift lever clean off clipping a rock though...
👍🏼Five of us all bought '85 Honda XL600s that year and used to ride that every weekend. I don't know how because your video wore me out just watching, of course I was almost 40 years younger and 50 lbs lighter. Our protective gear was helmet, shorts or Levis, t-shirt and addidas🤣
This brought back SO many good memories. I actually remember lots of those tough corners and sections along the route, you guys are beasts and made it look easy. What happened to Cody? Did he have bike problems before you even left? Great riding as always, and really excellent video you put together your editing is getting damn good! I'm also jealous you got to ride with Matt, what a good guy!
Thanks Nik we missed you out there. Cody got the runaround by a shop and that left him with a bike that didn’t run right. Bummer. He still hiked in from Loon to Buck though so that was fun.
Curious, would you pay for them? Pause at @0:25, then using a mapping service like CalTopo, you could figure it out without much work. Thanks for the interest!
@@GarrettMorrow probably wouldn’t be interested in paying for a GPX. Looking at the map at 0:25 (or even without it) could get something pretty close doing it myself using Gaia or CalTopo. Using a GPX to start from just makes it a bit easier and more likely to get a good usable route.

yeah thats a pretty special trail. You're right, a bit of everything. It gets tiring with the camping gear.
Mobbin Rubicon by dirtbike is epic!! Nice work.
Thanks!
I live very close to there in Nevada county. Lots of great riding here

Absolutely amazing! I have never ever seen anything like the rocks you guys were going through!! Makes Colorado and Utah seem simple. Great ride guys!
Thanks!

@@austinRCsailing yep that’s part of the fun. Draw a route. Then send it and see what happens.
Are these trails moto only? or mnt biking also?
Tevis Cup trail, the single track at the beginning, is moto and equestrian. Not sure about mtn bike.
did you make it on one tank of gas ...
Yes.
