Super well done! I'm honored you were inspired to build it. A simple design and you didn't shy away from adding complexity. Good to see some tasteful creative additions to the concept!
I am so honored that you’ve taken the time to watch my video and comment such kind words! I am ecstatic! Thank you for the gift of your art, the world is a nicer place because of it!
Do you really have only 1.6k subs? Your contents feel like you already have a million subs. Great video and really an inspiration to us beginner modelers!
This is beautifully crafted. The skills on those modelling, crafting, painting, and filming, everything comes together like it’s meant to be! This is truly a work of art, well done Leo! 👍
Hey man... thanks so much! You've been a big part of me getting into 3D modeling, so thank you for the inspiration and thank you for your kind words, as usual!
thank you, Nico! So glad you liked it! I wanted to add more details to the model but I also wanted to stay true to the original design... but with paint/weathering I did more my thing hahaha!
@@LeoNelBuilds thank you for taking the time and patience to make these videos and share your art and process of creating things. This will surely inspire many more to create. So thank you. Have a fabulous day.
So much win here, great resources used from some very talented designers, and you always create fantastic video productions of your work, thoughts, processes used, and then the final reveal! Love it all Leo, cheers!
MIKE! The Weathering Godfather himself! you honor me with your presence and your kind words, thank you for stopping by! I got a couple of lives to catch up on but you're a major inspiration to us mere mortals!
Not only is this an amazing video, but it has inspired me to try and make something in this style! Thank You and I cant wait to see what you do next! Maybe gundam related? llol
hey man thanks a lot! I am a hopeless lover of sci-fi themes, artifacts, vehicles and stories... I'm working on that Barbatos though so soon enough you'll see that drop as well!
Brotha this turned out incredible. You did an amazing job ripping this right off the page and breathing life into it. Keep up the amazing work. If you don't mind me asking how did you learn/figure out how to do the LED's on this with the chip and what to connect where, how to get the lights to blink etc? And Happy Belated birthday!!!
MY DUDE! Thank you! I got the LED system directly from EvanDesigns.com and it came with everything I needed... the chip, the LED's, the wiring... I just had to assemble everything, place the LEDs where I wanted them, and connect everything and power it... it was easier than building an HG Zaku II... piece of cake! And thank you for the Bday wishes! Miss ya bro!
@@LeoNelBuilds yeah, pure class mate. I'm far less interested in sci-fi than my usual modern conflict stuff but your approach, like a few others we know (wink!) is inspiring, regardless of the subject matter.
@@bertkooijmans4769 that’s fantastic!!! You’re gonna love it! Be willing to experiment and use up a bottle of resin to test settings and get them just right…
I instantly had to get your STL's! Just wondering what slicer you used and what size you made the parts. I loaded the engine file and it fills the whole plate and actually hangs off a bit. I see in the vid that you have all four printing at once plus a few other parts...
Thank you for purchasing the STL project! You can use any slicer you wish, and then reduce the size as you see fit. In my case, I printed it as large as I could on my Anycubic Mono 4K so I think the files were reduced to 10% scale (around there)… u probably wouldn’t want any smaller than that because the tiny parts would be waaay small… also the pilot is a bonus file and you can print it on the seat so you won’t have to do too much sanding… have fun!
@@jonathancerutti2546 hey man, thanks so much for stopping by! I use my Mac Mini M1... Fusion 360 is the weapon of choice, but I am starting to get into ZBrush and other more sculpt-oriented apps vs. engineering apps like Fusion (less complicated!)... I bought a course off of Udemy to learn Fusion and I'm not even a 3rd into the course but I've learned a lot of the basics, which allowed me to design this model. I'm currently working on my next project which is a bit more complex in terms of shapes and arrangements, so I say get a beginner's course on an educational site like Udemy, etc, and just start designing things and you'll start to get the hang of it... good luck!

Also any resources you suggest to learn how to 3d model like this
