I started watching this thinking "wtf" I've had 36 min runs before. Then I realized this dude was doing all 4 characters at once in 38 minutes. Absolutely incredible.
Wow! What an amazing job everyone who was involved! This game is one of my favorites! Speedfrog helped me get my speed climber achievement when I asked for advice, very nice guy!
This game definitely needs someone to take this run and slow it down and explain what's happening and why. The cards are passing so quickly that even though I've played this game a lot, I have no idea what is happening.
This was a really fun run! However, this is a hard run to follow if you aren’t already familiar with the core game. There’s a lot of quick tech and setups that need to be done. Props to the commentators for trying to explain what they could!
I thought I played Slay the Spire. After watching this, I realized I've been playing something entirely different than SpeedFrog. Eye opening, and entertaining run. Thanks!
What fascinates me most about sts speedrunning is how different the meta for it compared to A20 runs. I’m looking at the shops they’re calling bad as an A20 player and going “these would be amazing in any of my runs”
This is amazing. Unreal how fast youre making these decisions. In my time with this game I found that one small mistake can cost you the run and thats with me taking my time and overthinking every move.
I love this game but I never thought I'd see it at a marathon due to how reset-heavy runs used to be, but the speedrunning community once again proved that anything is possible by breaking the game in ways I'd never thought possible! Thank you to Speedfrog for showcasing the amazing run!
This is the very first time I've seen a speedrun of this game. I'm glad I've been playing it for the past few months, so I at least kind of knew what was going on, because I did not expect it to be _this_ fast.
I read the title and thoguht this would be interesting. He beat the game with ALL 4 characters in 40 minutes ?! I struggle to get that achievement where you beat the game with 1 character in 20 minutes..... Speedfrog is going so fast, I can't keep up. Never expected to see something like this :O
Wow, thought this was going to just be a quick decision run but I didn't know you could abuse/glitch the game so much. Still a great run as I'm sure the glitches still require fast/specific timing to get it done!
As someone who has over 250hrs playing this game casually, I can say I have absolutely no clue how this run is works. Seems to defy the rules of the game as I know it. Impressive!
This is a game I've put probably the most hours in as an adult and for some reason I've never looked at speed runs for it....this is a completely different game lol
Amazing runs, and I'm glad I know StS well enough to follow them, but man this specific run is way too fast to be able to comment on. It's just an incredibly dense game, but that makes this all the more impressive when you know what's going on.
Great run i enjoyed but te thing is i played this game a lot and i know what is going on(mostly) but for a new person watching this run must be chaotic xD
I'm certainly not complaining, but it feels strange that the commentators are allowed to help with strats in a run. With how deep the math gets to juggle on the fly, it fits - but it is obviously a specified rule that allows this?
Some games happen so fast the commentary has trouble explaining what's going on. Slay the Spire only lets them explain about 10% of what's going on at best. Edit: okay, after watching, they did a phenomenal job explaining stuff. If you paused to read the cards, you could really keep up with what's going on here somehow.

9:46 The Silent
23:51 The Watcher
30:52 The Ironclad
I mean, did i understood anything? no... was it EPIC? HELL YEAH!
I have almost 600 hours into this game and I still didn’t understand half of this
Such an amazing run! Loved it!
This is one of the most mindblowing speedruns i've ever seen, can't believe this was done by a human just incredible
Amazing run Speedfrog!

more like proceed the spire

Awesome run! Great commentators, excellent runner. Everything just great! Thank you!
I thought I played Slay the Spire. After watching this, I realized I've been playing something entirely different than SpeedFrog. Eye opening, and entertaining run. Thanks!
What a run! I think my brain has legit melted
The "Cory in the House" glitch name sent me
Really cool run and also kept interesting by all the people explaining and talking about whats happening :D
Wow. That was a mind-blowing run. Thanks so much, speedfrog!
I have put many hours into Slay the Spire and this was amazing. Great run!
What fascinates me most about sts speedrunning is how different the meta for it compared to A20 runs. I’m looking at the shops they’re calling bad as an A20 player and going “these would be amazing in any of my runs”
I love this game! So cool to see a speed run of it. Good work!
Happy to see SpeedFrog getting recognition, great steamer!
Amazing run! Really loved both of the Silent runs
That watcher run was amazing! Good to see one of my favorite games ran at AGDQ
I was like "that's not that fast" and then I realized he plays all 4 characters in that time.
This is amazing.
Unreal how fast youre making these decisions.
In my time with this game I found that one small mistake can cost you the run and thats with me taking my time and overthinking every move.
Wow, that was incredible! I had no idea you could muck around with the game’s UI to get so many extra resources like that.
Ah the best kind of speedrun, when things move so fast even the commentators can't keep up
Great run, super fun!
Great fun. Seeing the games I love being torn apart is always a joy.
This is incredible especially if you know how hard this game is and how he annihilates it. Amazing work!!!
Awesome run!
This run was so cool! Love this game but had no idea you could speed run it like this
Love this game

Very impressive and fun to watch!
Amazing run! Well done
I'm so glad this game made it to gdq. Great run!!
Amazing run!!
holy fk what a run
This is the very first time I've seen a speedrun of this game. I'm glad I've been playing it for the past few months, so I at least kind of knew what was going on, because I did not expect it to be _this_ fast.
Glad to see StS on GDQ, nice job
Wooooow I had no idea StS was so broken 😂 Great run Speedfrog and great commentary too 🔥
I love that they were able to show both unseeded and seeded stuff
This is just the best side of humanity.
Amazing run! Speedfrog
this run was absolutely nuts
Ahhhhhhh my favorite game of all time at gdq 😍😍😍😍

that was awesome Speedfrog!!
This was wild. And amazing.
awesome run!
Dude great run

I knew about some of the Speedrun tech but not most of it. Good job speedfrog!
As someone who has over 250hrs playing this game casually, I can say I have absolutely no clue how this run is works. Seems to defy the rules of the game as I know it. Impressive!
man i love this game
Even in a speedrun Watcher is straight up OP lmao
I love that this run has stuff always happening to the point where the commentators are just struggling to keep up
Incredible!
we love the frog
When will GDQ be back live?
wow, even card games have storage glitches...
man this makes my two-day-long first clear of slay the spire look like i was playing roblox or something
Me looking at the runtime:
38 minutes. That's a pretty quick StS run I guess. Maybe it was a rough run?
Me looking at the category:
4 characters? Oh.
Awesome
Very impressive
amazing 😆😆😆
This is a game I've put probably the most hours in as an adult and for some reason I've never looked at speed runs for it....this is a completely different game lol
Cleared the first floor in 2 mins how do you even keep track of what you're doing at those speeds?!
Amazing runs, and I'm glad I know StS well enough to follow them, but man this specific run is way too fast to be able to comment on. It's just an incredibly dense game, but that makes this all the more impressive when you know what's going on.
oh 38 minutes, close to my pb
(realises its all characters)
(dies inside)
Spin to win, Ironclad
Bravo!!
Great run i enjoyed but te thing is i played this game a lot and i know what is going on(mostly) but for a new person watching this run must be chaotic xD
good stuff
I’ve been enjoying Slay the spire. I have no idea what’s going on in this video 😂
...I'm still halfway through act 1.
That curse skip is kinda shocking wow
Good lord... I've played a good 40 hours of this game...what just happened..
I'm certainly not complaining, but it feels strange that the commentators are allowed to help with strats in a run. With how deep the math gets to juggle on the fly, it fits - but it is obviously a specified rule that allows this?

If you play the video at .25x speed, that's about how fast I play
no heart kills?
What. Is. Happening?
I had no idea this game had so many exploits.
I really want a speed run without bugs or glitches
and me without the -20 minutes run achievement
Man that run needs to be viewed at 25% speed, so the commentary has any chance to explain, what's going on.
Nice
Frogs are fast
I suck at this game lol. It's fun though!
When a speedrun goes too fast for my pea brain
YAY STS
Slay the Spire
true
Thought I'd watch the speedrun of a game I played for dozens of hours, so I could follow the action easily... nope.
Wtf just happened holy shit
38 minutes? I had faster runs. With one character, that is😝
🐸💙
Test
you failed, sorry :(
