I am a beginner. 46 years old, recovering from a broken leg that laid me up for 2 years. Morbidly obese, type 2 diabetic... I just completed Jess’s 30 day challenge. It was a tremendous experience going from day one barely able to do anything right and zero balance to day 30 able to stand on one leg balanced for 30 seconds. Sounds small but for me - a triumph. 30 days ago I couldn’t balance on one leg even for a second. Try the work out. So what if you’re sloppy at first or can only hold positions for a moment. Keep at it and one day, you will surprise yourself as you catch yourself holding an eagle pose or a hand stand. (I flipped out when I discovered my hands could hold up 246 pounds upside down in the air- wasn’t pretty, crashed down to the floor too... but I got up there and did it. You can too. Sure, most of Jess’s workouts might be a goal, but if you keep doing the practice, it will become an accomplishment. 🤗

Wow! Usually I can hang with any of these workouts but this one I actually struggled with! Good hard work out. Prob having an off day on top of it so I will have to come back to this. Love it

Yoga has saved my life. It’s one of those things that I just instantly fell in love with. I am a dancer and I have always dreamed of a career in dance. I have had very bad mental health issues over the last 4 years (self harm, anorexia, bulimia, clinical depression, social anxiety, dissociation) and yoga is something that has always managed to make me feel like a better human. Originally I started yoga to burn off a few calories because of my anorexia and I have bad asthma so I would run on the treadmill to burn calories but then end up having an asthma attack or being too weak to move afterwards and it made me feel so hopeless. Then I found yoga and instantly I fell in love. Yoga has makes me feel powerful and strong. It has done wonders for my flexibility & strength. I am a stronger dancer because of yoga and my willpower is so much stronger thanks to yoga. When I startedI was always in competition with myself telling myself that if I wasn’t strong enough to hold a certain pose then I wasn’t good enough and I remember crying because I felt so weak (probably because I didn’t eat). Now this is something I do to get away from everything, to calm myself down, to feel happy, to work on myself, to feel strong & I have never regretted it. If I’d have never discovered it who knows if i’d even be here now? Even if you can’t do a certain pose or your ready to give up, stick with it because I promise that everything your doing is right and if you keep doing it you’ll be strong enough to hold that pose and you’ll have a whole new appreciation for your body & the exercise.
Have been practicing yoga for about 3 weeks now and it was all beginner stuff and so I wanted to try something different and I clicked on this video and it just showed me how much I have to work on but I did manage to complete it with some pause but other than that I think I did pretty ok for it being so hard

It must take years of regular stretching to be able to get into all of these positions.
I'm a beginner and more than 50 lbs over weight....i highly doubt I can do any of those positions.
Marcia G. I am 40 pounds overweight, and I can tell you some of the poses are challening. But you can always make them easier for yourself like bending your knees or doing as much as your body allows. Its all about practice, and your body will get used to it over time. I did yoga for the first time today, yes it was hard, but it wasn't impossible. Expect to be shakey and fall of balance the first couple practices. I sure felt all that today, but I did well for somebody overweight and who hasn't exercised in 3 years. You can do it!! You won't know your limits until you just try it ! 😊
evelyn reyes you give me hope! I'm very overweight. I gained 50 lbs in 3 years. I couldn't get thru the 1st 7 min....but i took a break and went back to it. I was about to give up but then I saw your comment and I understood you are right. With practice i will get better. And no, it's not impossible ;)

I guess you have to get back to belly dance is better than exercising YOGA FEEDBACK
There should be something in advance about getting the blocks or something like the blocks for the workout before hand. I had to end the video and go find another one, not beginner and don't have equipment lying around like that.
