Thank you so much for watching and for the comment Dude. Yes 100%. It just feels out of place in UA-cam video's! Narrows your audience and revenue from advertising too.

Mint. Didn't even think about throwing sound deadening down in that spot behind the seats, that's a great idea. Guess I know what I'll be doing when I sort out the sound system. Thanks for the videos.
@@DanChambersDAC Hopefully enough of a difference to negate the fact that I didn't throw down any sound deadening on the floor, just went the ply floor route. Still, can actually hold a conversation while driving without the need to shout haha.
Hey Dan, really enjoyed this Caddy project. I’ve built a couple of T4’s and a T5 and I have been thinking of building a Caddy Max as a day van/Kombi with the rear seat and side windows. I would enjoy watching this and I think a lot of your other viewers would as well. The Mk1 golf is coming along great too, well done fella 👍
Thank you so much for watching and for the comment Bud. Glad you enjoyed it. I am planning on building another T5 at some point too. I think I need to get on with looking for a Caddy project!
Definitely get a caddy for the channel, Then you can do rear seat conversion Touran- dash, door cards, front and rear carpets and centre console will look class
Thank you so much for watching and for the comment Nick. Trouble is that loads of people do it and I genuinely cannot work out how they do it and make a profit. I have costed it up and the materials alone cost what people charge.
Great bang on job. I love seeing headliner and carpet stuff because it was one of the first things I tackled in a couple of my vehicles. It seemed daunting but is seriously pretty easy and simple and adds so much to your confidence in doing a project. I'm doing some sound. Deadening in my Mk1 Rabbit but went an unconventional budget route and found some great pipe insulation for 15 square feet for less than $25, can be even under $20 depending on where you get it. It is working out pretty good so far. Dan keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for watching and for the comment Bud. Glad you enjoyed it. It all makes such a difference. I used Flash Banding on my first ever T5 as it was cheaper. Does a job!
Dude. I’ve loved watching this mini VW Caddy series. Awesome videos Dan. I’ll be following all of your videos when I carpet / sound proof my Caddy. Nice one dude
I kept the bulk head in ( due to transporting tools and equipment) I wish a company would make a retrofit bulkhead that could sit further back and be removed quickly. Sound deadening, insulating and carpeting makes a massive difference in the summer and winter. It also makes every day use of the van far easier. I can now have a conversation on the hands free after doing a similar mod in my van. Dan I can’t recommend highly enough replacing the front seats. I fitted A1 S line seats. They bolt straight in and can be found at scrap yards for around £100 each. You can also source a cable retro fit kit for the airbags from a poster on a popular caddy van forum. Please do , go for it with a caddy van build. Once you have finished Juicy. You can take me through the lowering and axle flip process and front bumper replacement. Also if your feeling adventurous barn door to single rear door conversion. Loved this mini series. I can see your feeling a bit bogged down with the fabrication work on Juicy. Chin up , keep going mate
Thank you so much for watching and for the comment Dude. Quick release bulkhead is a good idea! This process is so simple but makes such a difference! I need to get on the hunt for a project van really.
I must say Dan , the van looks mint , well done, great achievement , hell of a lot better. I nice change and break from the golf. Brilliant content , nice Sunday watch again. Merry Christmas Dan

would love to see a Caddy build, removable seat conversion in the back to utilise the footwell perhaps? really enjoyed your T5 build too, keep up the great content!
Couple of points, Dan. Lots of Touran parts fit the caddy. Rear seats can be used, dashboard, front seats, headlights etc, etc. I’ve had a Caddy van and a Caddy Maxi Life (where that bit you carpeted in this episode is cut out for rear leg room). They are great for custom and oem+ modification. I’m considering going for a Caddy Life in the near future, as I think they offer the best of both worlds (van & car). Would love to see you do one! Great content, thanks, bud👊

Another tip (just did that myself) is to get the cover for the intake manifold (in my case 03L 103 925 R, for 1.6 TDI). You also need 2x 03L 103 164 and 1x 03L 133 287 (to put on the oil filler cap) to fit the cover. The cover has dampening material on the bottom side which also helps reduce engine noise.
