Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Paul. My step dad goes to the British Moto GP every year in a tent. He said he will be sleeping in the Caddy next year!
Nice content Dan, been wanting to do my Berlingo for a while now so happy to watch anything helpful, gonna have to wait for some warmer weather though as only got the drive way to work on.
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Bud. It makes such a difference and is well worth the effort! Yeah it is a little cold at the moment! The glue may not like the sub zero temperatures!
Caddy looks brilliant mate, interested to see what the carpeting trick around the side doors is. Looks superb. I covered all the holes in my T5 with bacofoil tape after watching you previous videos 👍
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Bud. I think it may have to happen. Just need to try and find the right one! Ahh sweet! Engine swap sound's good. What other plans do you have for it?
@@DanChambersDAC there's plenty of choices out there but prices seem to be rising, the list is getting bigger. Haha. Carpet lining, hifi, some nice seats, lowered, painting the underside so it's tidy, paint bumpers and roof spoiler then big brakes as I will end up going the tfsi route... Bitten by the bug😂
Love your work Dan, thanks for sharing. As I’m down here in Australia, I can’t drive over to get you to do my Caddy, so I’m doing something similar to my Caddy. I was thinking of doing the same style of carpeting on one wall and full height panel carpeting on the other, behind the equipment shelving I’m installing. To make things look more professional, do you have a suggestion on where I can get dimensional drawings for the panelling, as I have not found anywhere here that does it on my side of the country. Thanks for the inspiration to get mine done. Cheers
Thank you so much for watching and for the comment Ross. Glad you are enjoying the content! I am not too sure to be honest. I had some involvement in templating the side panels for sprinter vans a few years ago and it is a very time consuming task. Most companies keep the drawings for themselves. Good luck with your fit out bud.
Great job Dan ✅. Is the van still being used by your step dad for work? If so will he need the bulkhead refitting for safety if carrying items in the rear? 😎👍
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Andrew. No the most that will be carried in the back is his lunch box. I have taken the bulkhead out of all of my van's as soon as I Bought them even when it was a work van.
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. Yes, Headliner was a bit of a mistake. But none of the front was ever going to be done at all. Under the seats was done in a later episode.
Kısıtlı İngilizceme rağmen, on üç yıldan beri Caddy kullanan biri olarak videolarınızı beğenerek izliyorum. 👍🏼
Dude! leaving off the ply and using the shape of the van is genius!!!!
Lovely Jubbly, definitely got a talent there.
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Paul.
Brill series. Nice little mix of stuff keeps it exciting.
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Darren. Glad you enjoyed it.
Nicely done so far Dan, warm enough to throw a mattress in the back now!!
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Paul. My step dad goes to the British Moto GP every year in a tent. He said he will be sleeping in the Caddy next year!
When I worked at Aston Martin we masking taped the holes and then filled all of the box section with expanding foam, then took the tape off
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Simon. Yeah I have seen people use expanding foam. You have to be careful it doesn't warp panels?
The carpet came out amazing. Great work man
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Bud. Glad you enjoyed it.
Enjoyed , something different Dan , looks great, well done
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Bud. Glad you enjoyed it.
Cracking content Dan,gonna look awesome when it finished
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Barry. Glad you enjoyed it.

@@DanChambersDAC It's not just the glue that doesn't like sub zero temperatures....brrrrrr
Really cool and fun project! I have to do this myself. Greatings from Sthlm Sweden.
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Filip. Good luck with your project.
Definitely do a caddy project, be interested in that....
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment David. Will be on the hunt for one in the new year.
Like to see this done, great job Dan
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment John. Glad you enjoyed it.
Another great video, great content and well produced 👍
I know what your trick is dan 😁 to cut the old bulkhead up. I know this because I still have to do mine 🤣🤣
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Bud. Such a great little trick to finish the edges off!
Best thing to do about the gaps is trim the bulkhead down and the carpet the trim bulkhead 😊
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Ash. Yup, That is exactly what I did.
Another great video... That carpet looks hard to do 👍
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Carl. Glad you enjoyed it. Carpeting isn't too bad when you have done it a few times.
Great vid , love the caddy’s
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Gazza.
Nice work! Well Done!
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Bud.
looks sick dude all you need now is some sub woofers lol
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment John. If it was mine I would have fitted some!

Hi, thanks for the videos. Ive used your discount code for Dodo soundproofing.
Do you have a recommendation for purchasing carpet? Many thanks.
Get a caddy for the channel Dan, after watching your T5 bids I ended up buying a caddy.. Now has bkd lump in 😂

B piler .. I used pipe lagging and covered it with the lining carpet.. looks 👍
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. Great idea. Cutting the bulkhead down give a bit more of a 'factory' type finish.
great job dan,thank you.
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Jeff.
Hi Dan
Awesome videos, what roll length of carpet did you use for the Caddy please ?
You make it look so easy, what color carpet is that you used?
Cheers! I think it was Anthracite
Love your work Dan, thanks for sharing.

Looking great
Now SLAM it on some wheels 🤙🏻
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment David. I am trying to persuade him!!!
Wouldn't covering up 'em holes potentially trap moisture in there and cause rust over time?
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Tony. I don't think so. Every van conversion guide you see online say's to do this.
Dont you need to put a vapourbarrier over the insulation?
It would be interesting if you could find someone who can modify the bulkheads. Just so 6ft + people could get the seat fully back
That isn't a bad idea!
Sick mate only you can make phone calls whilst carpet lining 😂
🤣 Favourite comment! Thank you so much for watching and for the comment Bud.
Is it easy
Where can I buy the isolation for the lower areas? 😁
Hi dan cracking vid that... im looking at doing my 2007 swb...what was the rough cost?....and when searching for the insulation what do i type?
..
brilliant man!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Bud.
Do we really need all this insulation if we are getting hot 40° summers,
Great job Dan ✅.

what kind of white insulation is that, what is it called and where can I get it?
Hello perfect job 👍👍👍👍from Germany 🇩🇪 👋👋👋Kai
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Kai.
Good job bro.. easier if you take out your front seats 👍
Thank you so much for watching and for the comment Bud. Having them angled forward was Ok to be fair. Had plenty of room to work.
Now change the rear light bulbs ;)
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment Nic. Yeah that does need doing!
What carpet did you use??
Mega Van Mats 4 way stretch bud.
How mich insulation did ya buy for the caddy
I used 1 roll of each Bud.
I can understand about carpeting straight over the metal on the top half, but surely the bottom half will be all flimsy with no panels in place
😉 Keep watching
What material do you use?
When your driving down the woad
Going to be doing something similar with a long wheelbase caddy
How much carpet and where did you buy it from?
I used about 8m from Mega Van Mats
I would have removed the headliner and under the seats as it is normally bare metal there and you get lots off road noise from there.
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. Yes, Headliner was a bit of a mistake. But none of the front was ever going to be done at all. Under the seats was done in a later episode.
I'm sorry, but did he tell where i can get this genius material???
Mega van mats for the carpet.
Come and trick my caddy maxi out. 🙏
First
